Qué suerte Módena, tener dos artistas tan fabulosos como Mireia y Luciano. Dos primerísimas figuras mundiales de la ópera. Los amo.

Pure Lyric voice with a magnificent technique that allowed her to sing coloratura passages with ease and musical accuracy. Also, I Puritani was not written for a coloratura soprano. Callas respected the score and just added a couple of E flats (why not?) but never over embellished as Sutherland and Sills did (why not?. Just refer to whom the role was written for or just give a glance to the score, if you can't, please close your mouth and enjoy the sounds that emerged from Freni's throat. She herself declared she never had an E flat, (so what?) but she did sing High D's. For sure!

Freni and Pavarotti two excellent singers both born in Modena the same year 1935. They were friends since they were children .They sang together in many operas but their best roles were Mimi and Rodolfo in Puccini La Boheme .Pavarotti died in 2007 at 71 and Mirella in 2020 at 84
