What about system notifications that are grayed out in regards to turning them off? Does this allow you to disable those or get ride of them instantly? Here is an example. I have an app that needs permission to show things on top of other apps and I know that it does this and I am ok with that; but I have no way of telling android to stop telling me that this app is doing this. I get a notification in the notification drop down that informs me of this. The option to turn off this notification is grayed out and if I swipe it to the left to get ride of the notification it comes back in a short period of time. I have no idea why anyone would think that this is a good idea. Tell me once, ok, but if I acknowledge this behavior and I am ok with said behavior I should be able to have it stop tell me. It's a problem because my notification area gets full of stuff I don't need to see all the time. Thank you for any help you can provide; because this is driving me crazy.

Good video, man. Is there a way of assigning the estimated task duration at the point of capturing the task? Or even when reviewing the task, but before actually turning it into a calendar event? I.e. you have a task to do that you think will take an hour, and want to assign a 1hr duration to it, so that when you put it on your calendar it takes up 1hr?

Agreed. I may not need the pro features but I've used this so much for so many years. They could have moved essential function behind a paywall or started charging at any time. It's worth it.

As a cheapskate, tick tick's free version has fewer restrictions.

One difference I found, is that there's a limit to how many checklist items you can add, subtasks is I think no limit

really love your channel man and focusing on all cool things and tips for TickTick. I recently started using TickTick and it's been game changer for me. Today they reelased an update on the desktop mode (i am using mac) and they have an agenda view for the calendar which is pretty cool too

One more, use ctrl + alt + A to add a task quickly, even though you're not inside TickTick at the time

Great vid! I use TickTick mainly due to the fact that Todoist doesn’t allow me to list time like “2pm-3pm” so I have to either manually set it or write “for 1h,” and also the calendar is better.

I don't really understand. How do you order tasks at the beginning when you setup your projects so that when you filter by next actions you see only the one action and then when you check that, it automatically shows the action after that?

In my opinion, both need to improve their UI. The design should be much simpler that it is now.

TickTick needs a makeover to make it more modern. It's a little outdated. But you can see your calendar inside TT which Todoist is overdue to get.

the fact that you cant change priority colors or task / note colors with the rgb is frustrating

Never could set-up what I wanted previously - see below - so I ended-up making it as a task. Now my bathroom scale says my water weight is too low so I set-up a habit just like you've shown in this video. Quite simple, really. I readjusted where I put the amount, like your 10 pages. I was also afraid of clicking on the square (I thought it would disappear); now I can add how much ml I'm drinking, one glass/cup/bottle at a time. Fun to see that as I go along, I'm also losing weight, which is a great side effect.

Thank you for this brother. I’ve been a massive fan of Todoist since the early days and I still love it but there is one super handy tool I wish Todoist would implement (& you already said that their calendar is on early stage so no doubt they will add this): The power to be able to STACK (aka sub folder or folders) on top of each other and by SIMPLY CLICKING or VIEWING on the parent Folder you can see all the other folders which has DATES! This is so refreshing to have because one: (1) You have an instant calendar without putting it into the calendar. (2) Whilst remaining in their own SPECIFIC folders for the OCD people like me, meaning having a ONE PLACE to go if I’m only looking at Work or a specific work company sub folder. I hope I’m making sense cos I’m typing this really quick! This along is a game breaker for me! I still love Todoist as it’s super QUICK & still the FASTEST for me when it comes down to SIMPLE INPUT! #Todoist please IMPLEMENT HAHA :)

I’m very new to TickTick, and I’m trying to explore to see if I can make this my go-to app for everything I need. For journaling, I like one of those 5 year journals, so on the same date, I can see a list of what that date is like over the years, so on a single “page”, I might see how 2024 May 13th might be on 2025 May 13th and so on. I can’t seem to figure out how best to do it at the moment. Could you give me an idea?

First, is there a commuity where new users can ask questions? And sorry @thepeddler9296, I do not know. My question: I had a task then one subtask.When the subtask was completed, it dropped on the parent task leaving no 'paper trail' the the subtask process. I can see in it Completed but not with the Task.! So it looks like the subtasks are totally independent from the parent. That true?

TickTick isn't working on a journal feature. Your video was just attracting my attention as hell. Good work. After asking politely the TickTick support directly (April 2024), they confirmed that they're not working on a feature like that or looking forward to it. Can you please share the source of your information?
