    in my opinion the problem about UK justice is that it can be so corrupt that even the most comitted individual who enters the system may well need to perform in a corrupt manner in order to even exist. The law is seldom carried out and instead agreements between parties followed so hence conviction unsafe. Look at the case of Asta Juskauskiene, a mother of three who was convicted for 24 years for a murder charge yet was not even at the murder which is a fact not contested by the police. Yet evidence was made up against her and she is currently serving 24 years of a life sentence yet totally innocent......welcome to the UK bar,

    The crown prosecution service is a joke, just like the police, they support child abuse, paedophiles and their friends getting away with the attempted murder of a child. They also take pride in victims of child abuse taking their own lives. The crown prosecution service have no idea whatsoever of the laws with regards to child abuse, paedophilia and attempted murder.

    You are an absolute inspiration bud. Coming from Leeds myself and growing up in a low socioeconomic, single income household (mum was a cleaner) I always wanted to pursue a career in law but was discouraged by 1 particular career’s adviser at school that I would not succeed, so I left school at 16 and joined the military. Upon leaving the military I started out as a labourer in construction and worked my way up, I am now a construction manager and have worked and lived in New Zealand for 2 years and currently in the Caribbean building luxury villas, earning over 6 figures (a hell of a lot more than the distasteful careers advisor in high school) Next year, I will return to the UK after completing my “Access to HE” course and aim to attend an RG uni and no doubt will become a criminal barrister as originally planned. See you in a few years Taz 👍😅

    I've been having trouble passing criminal litigation for some time now, even though I passed civil my first try (and everything else, heck my criminal advocacy was the highest I did in the course!). I've done over 100+ practice MCQs at this point. Extremely nervous as even after doing questions, noting down the ones i get wrong and revisiting the topic for the ones i did wrong, I still would get a 50 average (not even consistently, it was either I'd barely pass or fail miserably). my past 2 tries were also stagnant at a 50 average and I've started to burn out because I've been studying the same topics for over a year now, but still mix up the minor details. I can't implement your studying techniques as I don't have time to do that atm, but I'm hoping to maybe spam more questions, in hopes that my brain finally puts 2 and 2 together. but the video and comments definitely gave me a sense of relief, that even if everyone around you seems to be doing it, the exam actually IS that hard because it just has so many things you need to take note on and no one is built to remember all the fluff (because if we were, they wouldn't need to keep white books in the courtroom bookshelves). Any other Bar student out there panicking last minute because they also can't seem to pass their uni mocks, I just wanna say you aren't alone :')

We haven’t had a single argument with my wife since I started taking it, work doesn’t feel like crap anymore. My wife says I am very chill and she loves that. Not sure what year you studied the BPC, but noticed your booked referenced the old version of the course, did you use those books anyway and find not too much was different? I need something easier to digest than the WB & Blackstone, I have dyslexia and it’s just not suitable to me at all.

  • @lawontrial
    @lawontrial 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

    The thing about central exams is that is the real test of the performance of the bar course provider. Ask your BPC course provider before you enroll what their central examination pass rate is and it will show you how they perform on the relative curve. Let's face it everyone on the bar course is intelligent, so if the students are failing, that is a sign the course provider is failing. Great tip on don't bother with the White Book. When I attended ULaw (2016-17) they had no manual, no videos just the White Book and Blackstones and MCQs, they refused to give us PowerPoints. They never even recommended a revision guide so I was completely unaware that was even an option. A significant proportion of people failed at least one central exam in my year. When revising for resit that Summer I then became aware that half the people I thought were geniuses were accessing BPP notes, manuals and videos in a secret drop box only accessible to the well connected Oxbridges. For a course that cost 20K it was ridiculous. I managed a VC but it did not have to be that hard.
