How to make a Brass Tri Square - By hand, No expensive machines
#furnituremaking #toolmaking #marking
Welcome back to my channel.
I've made a few hand tools now and really enjoy it.
I decided to make two Brass TriSquares sanwiched between stained and stabilised Curly maple. I stabilised the wood using Cactus Juice and a vacuum chambre.
Time Code:
00:00 - Intro
00:22 - Stabilising Wood with Cactus Juice Resin
01:00 - Into Vacuum Chambre
01:40 - Selecting the brass
02:00 - Marking out on the brass
02:25 - Cutting out
03:40 - polishing Brass
04:26 - Gluing
05:00 - Brass Pins
06:11 - Ortur Laser Master 2 - Flashing Images!
07:00 - Checking They're actually Square
I want to show that how living with mental and physical health issues has been helped so much by having a hobby.
I hope you enjoy watching the build process and welcome your comments.
Thank you for watching.

Making a Marking Knife - My Knife of Choice for Dovetailing
มุมมอง 4K6 หลายเดือนก่อน
#toolmaking #restoration #woodturning For all of my wood working projects, one tool is always used, and that is my marking knife. I use it all the time so ineveitably, they end up worn out and damaged. - Luckily I can fix it.... This video is to show my process of reviving my worn out knife by making a handle from Curly Maple that I stabilised with dyed Cactus Juice (that was VERY out of date)....

In the beginning you explained to start with different distances in marking the lines for the two components. I wonder if it could be better to saw against both marking lines on tge two components, each on the other side. What do you think? Anyway, your tutorial inspired me to start making such a beautiful joint. 👍👍👍
