    Worked perfectly. Found a lot of other instructions online that didn’t work and was ready to return the new remotes.

    From the Albuquerque area: I’ve got tons of goatheads on my properties. This roller works great. The roller would benefit from being bigger and it doesn’t like land with a lot of dips and such. That said, it works great and has the best design for removing the goat head from the roller as compared to the others

    While trying to program the remote, I set off the alarm. 🤦🏽‍♀️ Ended up having to cut the wire to the alarm speaker. But also, the engine is now disabled, and I can't seem to get it to reprogram the remote OR start the car. Ughh.

    I was super excited when I pulled the my zip tie out because it was dry. I placed it down on the top of the fuse box to inspect the sensor on the end of the hose. It was bone dry. I was checking at night by flashlight. I turned the light towards the zip tie and seen an oily spot around it. I looked and it was dry,…on one side. The other side was wet. A long time ago I had a small leak at the back of the master cylinder. I put some AT 205 reseal because everything looked great and I tightened the bolts fastening the master to the brake cylinder. I was broke as hell and it was Christmas so I was hoping to buy a little time. Everything was fine and the breaks are all fine. Until recently the brakes didn’t release quickly. They apply fine and all the tests you see online for checking your booster checked out fine. I started tuning and replacing sensors and changing fluids recently to refresh the truck. The fuel trims were super high which I determined to be a evap vent solenoid. This brought the trims down but it still feels like the brakes wouldn’t disengage quickly enough so you could feel a slight hang making downshifts a bit weird on the rpm gauge. I often hook up my bidirectional scan tool when I go for drives and pick random systems to watch and then save the logs. Tonight I had a misfire when I released the brake and the brakes took a second to release with a small jerking motion. Felt kinda like that feeling when a bolt breaks loose. So I became suspicious of the booster because of previous issues with a leak from the back of the master cylinder. Thanks for the great tip, I know what needs to be done and if my booster is bad, that could throw off the fuel trims a bit too. Ok, next project is going on the board. Thanks a ton for the stupid proof test.

      Blower was working. The issue was the A/C would blow cool air instead of cold. Which was caused by the air inlet door motor.

    I have a 2012 Nissan Versa Hatchback that is doing the same thing but my anti-skid and power steering lights come on too sometimes. The car goes into limp mode and did it to me right in the middle of the highway. I've spend $600 so far replacing alternator and battery but still does it and alternator voltage has gone up to over 17v. Since my car is different do you know what it is labeled as?

    thanks for doing this video. Some questions: 1) where exactly are you jacking up to when you do it front the front (it looks like somewhere in the middle of the i-beams. 2) what is that line/hose behind the frame rail that is getting moved around by the radius arm bracket when you're banging on it? 3) Should you get an alignment done after this job? 4) Is it ok to jack the vehicle by the radius arm bracket? (I've done that and I'm worried I bent it). 🤓

      You’ve obviously never had to deal with stickers or what we call goat heads here in Idaho. They are terrible! And no, you can’t just rake them up! You can’t just burn them either because they will come back worse! You have to get rid of them. And this is the first time I’ve seen anything like this that will remove them

  • @ScarabChris

    Ok welp....yup there is brake fluid in my booster. It's like 1/4 full of brake fluid! I was able to "rig it" to make it a little easier to drive until I get a new booster. With a shop vac and a hose I sucked out all the brake fluid then I reduced the vacuum hose ID by sticking in a couple smaller sizes. This slightly reduces the vacuum suction allowing the pedal to come back up but it still takes a few seconds.

  • @ScarabChris
    @ScarabChris 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

    2008 Escalade and I think I have the same problem. The brakes started sticking just like yours after a very hard stopping of the truck. Car pulls out in front of me and I had to jam the brakes harder than I ever had before. Now the brakes hang up. If I give the pedal a quick and firm press the brakes release. Problem comes when you need to slow down just a little like to go around a turn or slow for a speed hump. I have to reach down and pull up hard on the pedal. I know it's not the calipers or rotors. I put all new rotors, calipers and pads about a year ago and brakes were super smooth up until that hard braking event. I'll try the zip tie thing.

      The unknown trick is to tighten the end nut till it bottoms out (but don't torque yet) this will bring the bracket closer to its final position, then use a tapered spike to line up one hole, I picked the top hole to line up first with the spike in one of the lower holes, then i was able to easily thread the bolt without using a hammer. Repeat with one of the remaining holes and then use the spike to line up the final hole but before removing the spike, tighten the first two bolts to keep the bracket from moving then remove the spike and install the last bolt. Replaced both radius arm bushings on my '96 E350 yesterday without ratchet straps or hammers and it was much easier than i thought it would be.
