    I just received my bits. Do you have a recommend font to use to give a good deep inlay? My toolpath model does not appear to be deep enough with the font I chose. I can't recall which font I chose (away from my shop computer)

      It really just depends on what you are going for. I try several different types to get what I need for a project. Just go by your render until you get what looks good. The bolder letters do tend to do better with deeper.

    Nice tips for most of them. A 5gal bucket lid and a stiff nail brush will be as handy and much cheaper for cleaning TS blades. Not my trick, it comes from Stumpy Nubs.

Sounds like you’re a natural man!. Not sure I’ll ever try. I like the hacks, knew about most. Nice video, some good advice bits. But I did find one error, in the miter saw tip on cutting odd angles you had actually brought your miter inside, which would deduct rather than add. Case in point, the angle you cut was actually 25deg rather than 65, for 65 you would have had to spun the miter to the right. A lot of these tips I have been using for a few decades and they are still viable.

    • @KWoods1958
      @KWoods1958 21 วันที่ผ่านมา

      And yes I do know that the other side of that cut would be 65deg, but again having been the cut man for decades, when someone calls for 65deg that is what they want left on not thrown to scrap

    I lost track of the numbers but salt will weaken the glue joint. When I saw the test it was true. I do question whether or not it makes a difference in the real world but in the lab it does. If this concerns you just use sawdust. Once I learned about the blue tape for mounting things I never looked back. Blue tape has so many uses it's wild. I found it odd that he used a Festool saw with harbor freight clamps. Now I don't feel so bad about buying them. Great tips!
