Guam's Secret Jungle Swimming Pond
In this video, I'm tracking down one of Guam's only freshwater sources. Apparently, as I have heard, there is a pond in the middle of the jungle on the northern part of the island. They call it Lost Pond.
I knew little about Lost Pond on Guam, but heard it is located near Shark's Cove. So, I figured if I head out and walk the coast as if I am going to it, I should (Hopefully) be able to see signs of a definitive trail that might run deep into the jungle.
And that is what I did. So, come along for a coastal trek in search for this famous Lost Pond.

The reasons are more complex than we can imagine. There is a lot of blame for both parties, government and residents. The thing that disturbs me the most is how these cars are left to rot for years to com...

Ah yes, I had that on my mind for the worst-case scenario. I knew I could end up there but just wouldn't be too sure if it'd be more south or north
Search lost for pond.
Lost pond searched
Lost Pond can be accessed from the top cliff line as well. There's typically a monitor lizard basking in the sun. Additionally, you'll find artifacts and at a small Latte site near the Shark's Cove. Stop by Southern Mountain Gear for more info and some good gear!!!

Really? That I didn't know! Interesting! I'll check it out, thanks!
Ventured out to the Lost Pond a few times back in the 90's when my kids were little. Really no reason to venture out there again. But, I do not recall ever seeing that much trash lying around out there. What a true shame.
Cool to hear people were visiting it back then too! Did it look more swimmable then? Yeah such a shame that people leave their trash everywhere now
Not lost if you found it
Got a little lost, especially getting out of there haha. But I guess it's called "lost pond" as the jungle keeps trying to swallow it haha
@Reardon_Explores it is a cool little spot, used to skip school down there
Very 👍 great ive never been!! Beautiful sights if guam!
@@belchristian4696 Really? Haha dang quite the hookie spot
@@MarkPuke13 For sure Mark! Check it out some time!

Thank you for sharing this video with us.
Thanks for checking it out! I'm glad I could make something worth watching for you! :)
Great job buying dogfood How many piles of dog waste did you pick up? Let me guess
Do you go around picking up waste? What do you think happens when it rains? Where do you think the waste of all animals on earth goes?
@@Reardon_Explores Dog waste is a toxic pollutant it is harmful to the environment unlike wildlife. Dogs are not native species.
You bought dogfood, did you pick up the excrement?
Why would I? If you donate or give food to the homeless, would wipe their butts?
Don't feed them You're just exacerbating the suffering
Why would anyone listen to such a cruel person like you
@@Reardon_Explores Because I live here and see tourists coming down here virtue signalling like this constantly. Making videos They dont live here, dont speak the language, dont understand the culture.
I live in Makati City (the opposite side of BGC/Taguig) and we have lots of cats here as well. I don't really consider them as stray as I often see the same ones around the vicinity. I once bought a one serving pack of cat food to give to an orange tabby that usually hangs around outside our gate... just for me to see that my neighbor has got them covered, armed with a big bag of kibbles. By the way, thanks for this reaction video, Reardon. It was something I didn't know I needed... made me feel calm ☺
I am glad there are people in Makati looking out for them as well. Thanks for your story. I'm glad I could give you something of interest to watch. Metro Manila is a great place and these animals are everywhere

nope its the same crap they served everywhere else
Tastes better than everywhere else.
Have u been to the cliff near the guam hospital? They have a trail there that goes down to the water.
No. Is it sketchy? I've wanted to check it out but never know who could be around there
@Reardon_Explores not that sketchy, theres like stairs going down.takes like 8min to get down there. Some people go there to cast there lines 🐟.
Hot day, once ur inside its cold🥶😅
Hahaha yeah! And sometimes it's freezing inside
Thanks bro! I have a similar 15-16 hour layover in a couple weeks but arrive early Eve. I’ll be squeezing in some sites and eating as much as possible.
That's the best way to go. Have fun!
Alabang Town Center also has a cat community and fully supported by the Ayala group of companies. They even have adoption drives for both dogs and cats also TNVR programs.
That's super good! I like what these communities are doing
BDS McD!
Not sure what bds is
Shouldn't they be on a pound? Have you noticed a lot of Feces around?
No, no feces around BGC but outside there, yes. Maybe the animal control service is overwhelmed in areas
@@Reardon_Explores nice video btw bro. You are one entertaining dude.
Are you thinking about visiting Malaysia again?
Yeah, always thinking about it...Just need to find the time to travel again
For only $21 a night...
Would you stay there?
Grg stand for goreng it's mean fried. Ayam is chicken. So it's mean Spicy Fried Chicken
yupppppppp
I didn’t think anyone made videos about my home island but I’m glad someone is showing our beautiful island and yes that typhoon really did hit us hard and wigs the people there the best of luck getting back in order
True true. I wish more would make videos about the island because there is a lot of things to show off
Oh wow Guam has Ross! Also didn’t know that they have a lot of choices on shoes and cheaper. When I go back to Seattle I gotta check it out.
Yeah it's a good thing they are here. Many of the locals and tourists depend on Ross for so much
I feel you. My feet are small literally kids size 😂 but the selections suck
Hahaha. That is the problem sometimes. Too many shoe brands that are no good
how did you book with a long layover ?
Depends on the airline...Jeju had long layovers
Thank you for your insight into Vietnam. I plan to visit in November for a couple of weeks.
Awesome! Enjoy!
❤
The problem is that people 'dump' kittens and cats in BGC regularly. This is totally illegal and irresponsible.
Sure is
was that foldover has spicy sauce? i think that was a combination sauces of tomato + chilli + mayo + their spicier killer thing😂 the first time i ate the spicy beef burger, i thought that was cheesy spicy sauce because the colour was creamy orange.. i like the colour😂. But the taste wasn't cheese. That was absolutely combination sauces as said😂
Hahaha that I do not remember but maybe
My first duty station in the military back in the early 1980s was Guam. The food and beach/ocean were my greatest loves of my time there.
That's what many say. It sure has some good stuff
Great tips, gracias!

The workers who help park cars is a super useful thing to know about visiting Peru. I would have put that as a top 10 thing to know rather than a shock.
I'd more likely know that if I rented a car but I didn't. Hopefully people will see your comment
This is probably the most informative video I've been searching for!! Thank you very much , ill be visiting there soon🎀
I'm glad I could provide some insightful info. Enjoy your trip! :)
Calamansi is a Philippine lime, can also be found in parts of Indonesia
Oh yes right. Super good!
Grg is the short form of goreng which means fry/fried
Yep
Your video is quite informative. How did you book the bus ticket to ascend Machu Picchu?
Thanks! I don't exactly remember as it has been a while. But if I am not mistaking, you do it right there in the town of Agua calientes once arrive by train
Thanks for the chill video. I'm leaving next week for Coyoacan! 🎉😊
Please brother thank you for your comment but do learn porridge is over cooked rice ! Porridge.....
Hahaha yeah
I remember going to Oceanus during my childhood, it was way popular back then. I remember being a kid going to the indoor playground with my parents. This is where I’ve been living my whole life, of course. It’s interesting to see my home in another person’s perspective, though. Like, I could be in Suria during the time you were recording and I wouldn’t know. Though yeah I do see quite a few white people around here just doing their thing, such tall people they are :/ But yeah KK is pretty nice here, at least coming from someone who lives here.
Hahaha that is interesting yeah. There is a lot of potential there. I bet it was really fun as a kid. Well, i'm not that tall but western tourists usually are haha
You look like Philippines people when camed in kota Kinabalu Sabah malaysia
Hahaha i'm not filipino
