Hey Moxie! I have a deck I've been playing recently that's been super fun; my longtime, cross-gen favorite - Dragonite. The standard meta pairing seems to be Weezing, but, after pulling an Aerodactyl and testing it out... it's hilarious when it goes off. For two colorless, Aero tucks away a Pokemon if you win a coin flip. Not only does this undo a lot of tempo, and helps stall a few turns to set up DNite, it reduces the number of targets for Draco Meteor. Also, the fossils don't count as basic mons which makes Poke Ball better to find Dratinis. Granted, you can also get energy screwed or not draw the Dratini/DNairs/DNites in the right order, so it balances out? The core deck: 2 Dratini, 2 Dragonair, 2 Dragonite, 2 Old Amber, 1 Aerodactyl, 1 Chansey // 2 Prof Research, 1 Sabrina, 2 Poke Ball, 1 Potion, 1 Red Card, 1 X Speed Pick two for flex slots: 2nd Chansey, 2nd Sabrina, Kangaskhan, 2nd Aero, 2nd Potion Currently I'm running two Potion, two Chansey, mostly because I don't want to craft a second Sabrina quite yet (actively pulling Char packs and will pull her or Kanga the second I craft them, lmao). Having access to one X Speed is nice, but it may be a flex slot as well - I still like it for being able to retreat early Dratinis on bad draws, or preserving Aero to get one more attack in later. Very rarely do I find myself being able to retreat Chansey even with an X Speed - it's really just a big sponge in this deck because energy priority goes elsewhere - but every once in a while you can spare one energy drop to threaten the X-Switch play. You typically accept your opponent is getting 1-2 points on you, and you're usually stalling to get to a few turns ahead of the turn you're at til Draco is online. So having 2 Chansey is nice to have a big beefy blocker. Don't think you always need Aerodactyl, let alone two, so one is fine but you can lean full into her if ya want. Finally, the deck can struggle against other long-game decks (Mewtwo) or decks that fill the bench (Pika) so you could maybe a Kangaskhan over 2nd Chansey to threaten an early point, so that if you can get to Draco you only have to fire one not two (since Mewtwo EX can OHKO w a Giovanni). Super fun deck, hope you'll try it, and hope it goes well if you do! ✌

Ive been using dnite gren and heleolisk deck and its decent Gren can weaken targets in the back so you can get the draco to finish them and heleolisk good early game

It is absolutely insane to me that the disparity in the popularity of hazards between doubles and singles is so incredibly vast that even when they made Ceaseless Edge, a Sharpness move that sets up spikes FOR FREE as a side effect, a move that almost single-handedly led to a suspect test in Smogon OU for the otherwise mediocre Samurott-H…. whoever made this team still dropped it for Night Slash lol

I took scarf samurott to a locals and not the last gc but the one prior I got 2nd at the local And did pretty decent in the GC. Tera fighting with aqua cutter, sacred sword, knock off, flip turn Also just fyi it does NOT outspeed dragapult. Problem with sammy is that its not quite good enough. Either youre adding speed but will lack a lot of power. Or youll have decent power but there will be certain things youll get outsped by and its nothing you can do about it but rely on partners

“This is the wrong game to be playing if you hate rolling dice” - I’ve been having more fun with this game than I wish I was. But boy howdy is this the vibe.

I've been running a similar deck with Diglett/Dugtrio instead of Sandshrew/Sandslash. Ape + Slash feels really terrible when you're going first since you can't get either online until turn 3. Also coin flips on Dig can be real bullshit and bail you out of bad situations.

I love the TCG pocket content, but my recommendation are now 90% TCG pocket videos as a result. 😂

I've been trying to use primeape + kabutops, leech life goes crazy for clean up and can be hard to take out. Plus, since the fossil isn't a basic card, you are guaranteed a mankey, and you can drop a pokeball for an extra trainer card. It can be a bit rough since you are locked into mankey turn one, but you can probably toss in a kangaskhan or a meowth to help with variety

Is this game as predatory as Duel Links? As in, release a mediocre booster set with a busted Super Ultra Rare and 2 bad ones, make you buy 50 boosters to get a guaranteed 1 of the 3, and if you don't get the one, you need to buy the entire set again, and possibly a third time? And then of course, you actually want two, so dump more money?

Love the pocket videos! I've been super into pocket myself as well! I love this new mankey addition btw. It really buffs fighting decks and let's them act as a natural counterbalance to the lighting decks that have been dominating the meta.

Sometimes you come up with a good core of 5 mons and can't decide on a 6th. You have to submit your teamsheet before the deadline, so you decide to make Prinplup your dozo-bozo. Sometimes you just need something wacky in open teamsheets to confuse your opponent into second guessing themselves because they didn't memorize any Prinplup calcs.
