did you say you are in Virginia?
You are precious and beautiful. Would love to go back in time where humanity and simplicity reigned. God bless.
Always loved Herefords from movie rare breed !
That store is absolutely amazing. Old country general stores. I made it miniature version of one with my mom's name on it like it's her store. If I lived in North Carolina I probably would visit that Stone all the time. What a beauty at stores. I'm so comfortable and cozy.😊
we are here in the netherlands europe ,and we looked always to your show from your general store,we very ofte visit sevierville pigeon forge and memphis ,wen we coming over again to tennessee we come by to enjoy some food from you god bless you all greating annelies and hans
Con lo que me apaciona El Herford saludos
Great video!
Glad you enjoyed it
Pretty high strung for a Herford.

I don't know about anyone else, but I can hardly hear the guy talking. I think he goes over the process, while the other guys are doing it, would have been nice if he would have been wearing a mic. I mean if you just want to watch it, it's nice, but if your wanting a "how to" video, you can't hear the guy explaining the process.
Thanks for the comment. Not so much a "how to" video, but point taken. Thanks.
Herefords are my favorite cattle as well. Back in rural central Arkansas in the early 70s, my family milked Herefords cows by hand, and we churned butter and sold sweet milk and buttermilk. They are a beautiful and sweet breed of cattle.
Thanx for this Video. Been to Floyd many times, but now live in Florida which is like living on a different Planet. The Video took Me back about 8 Years ago. Hope the door will open for Me to move back. God bless. 😃
Garrison Keillor's fictional Lake Wobegon has been replaced by the real thing. Please stay on youtube, And thanks!
This is wonderful - thanks for doing this interview. Would love to visit Floyd soon.
Our pleasure!
Daytrip to here for sure!!😊

@@simplegiftsfarmstead1985 Thanks for the feedback! the best thing you can do is not to combine footage of happy animals and parts of their dead carcasses. all other tips will be advised by Conscience and God
Nice job and great interview with Tiffany Sweet Lady she loves the Lord and it shows
My husband and I want to go next year.
You have a good heart thank you for calling praying for my husband he was hoping to visit for a bologna sandwich
AWESOME!!!! Blown away by this video. God willing one day I too will be able to be there. Thank you for sharing this, and Happy Independence Day to everyone! 😉🌻
Love you, Tiffany in Ohio! Thanks for sharing your story. I'm so happy you talk about your faith. Awesome video. Thanks for sharing with us. ❤❤❤❤✝️✝️✝️
Got to see this place first hand back in May of 2024. And I absolutely fell in love with it and all of the areas of small town Tennessee that I was in. I stayed out in the Backwoods of Jamestown tennessee. And I am definitely looking to move down in that area to get back to Hometown roots feelings.
he's lovely 😊🙏
Thank you so much for the wonderful video I would love to visit 1 day. This Tiffany seems like a wonderful person.
Great place. God's hand is all over it. Love Tiffany and the crew.
My first time watching your channel. Great job.
Thanks so much!
There are so many unique places worldwide with history and serving the local community, and they often struggle these days. I wish I could go there and have something nice to eat.:)
We came to see you, Tiffany! The nostalgia is wonderful, but it is you who chose to carry on the family business! We love you and who you are! Praise God for people like you! God bless you and Doug! Congratulations on your wedding! It was beautiful and honoring to God! We visited you in May. Love, Harlan and Julie Sedalia, Missouri
Hi, I’m from England, I have only just discovered this kind of music. I love that there are so many youngsters involved and they are so talented. I love to watch and listen to people like Margo and Ipi. I’ve seen them playing at the Floyd Country Store on you tube in the uk and it’s great to get some background information on how it all works. Thank you ❤️🏴🇬🇧
Keep in mind that we stole the music from you as he pointed out, you Brits, Scots, Irish, etc. Thank you for that.
Wonderful store and the way you talk about your faith, so needed in our world today!🎉
It really is a wonderful store, and more importantly, Tiffany is a wonderful person!
I know You are a great guy, but I want to see the Floyd Country Community, dancing and the music makers. Please, walk around and tells us what is taking place and talk but hide the picture of You and show the music and the dancing and etc. You are putting me to sleep sir........
Thanks

Wow! thanks you take me back to my very young days like about 14 years old now 83 and not the same as you have but a small village that had country music on Saturday nights,Canada. in a small village, with dancing and live music. It was as well my first time getting a bit tipsy with wine from the older guys. But still here at 83 now living alone and miss the the country.
God bless you sir for helping a traditional way of life. I too miss the old way of living, we didn't have all that much but we appreciated what little the Lord gave us.
Great interview and fascinating history, and I am a city person!

That sounds fabulous. The Blue Ridge Parkway is so awesome!!
Whish I where there...one day in the near future. Greetings from Germany!
Seeing that smoke house brings back memories. In the town I was raised in back in the late 50's and 60's we had a butcher shop that did their own smoking and that aroma drifting through the air was delightful. Now, on the other end of town we had a potato chip factory and there were days that the would fry the chips when the butcher was smoking the bacon. When those two aromas hit each other it was like home fries and bacon. BOY WAS THAT GREAT.
After smoking the bacon my jacket smells of smoke for days. I rather enjoy the aroma. Thanks for the comments and watching!
This is wrong, you should just be buying pork from the grocery store instead of killing innocent animals. -- Alexandria Ocasio Cortez
I love the process its a lot of work ive done it many times myself. Best part is family and friends coming together. Godbless
The Prosciutto brothers😂😂😂
Love how she said at the beginning those docile pigs are gentle and tasty! Kinda like killing the family pet!😂 OH, and I'm pretty sure these swine are over 120 lbs. So they are not Pigs! They are Hogs. And those 3 hogs probably said to each other, " Oh shit there's that red trailer. We are in trouble now!"😢
This is hilarious😂
😂 to cute 😂😂😂
APPALACHIAN BUTCHERING A PIG NEVER HEARD OF IT ALTHOUGH ALL THE LATIN AMERICAN COUNTRIES DO THE SAME, BUT THEY DO NOT CALL IT LATIN AMERICAN TRADITION OF BUTCHERING A PIG, JUST SAYING.
Interesting. The area where we live is part of Appalachia, so its the traditions passed down by the local families over generations. But yes, I'd imagine there's common practices similar to the rest of the world. Thanks for watching and commenting.
Nice!....................................................
I've been only to County Sales back in 2000, long way from Germany, Europe.
Is the music night on Friday's primarily bluegrass or are there folk singers songwriters, playing acoustic guitars but performing without banjos? Any very folk genre played, like Joan Baez, Peter, Paul & Mary, Gordon Lightfoot, Dylan, Mary Chapin Carpenter type of folk? Also, seems like there are mostly couples there on music nights. Are there any people by themselves who are over 50? Or is it mostly just couples who attend who are OVER 50 or 55? I wouldn't have anyone to go there with and of course no one to dance with. How many older singles are there completely on their own?
I think its a mix of bluegrass and old time music, but here's a link for the upcoming Jamboree acts. We saw people of all ages out on the dance floor. You'd make friends quickly. www.floydcountrystore.com/events/category/friday-night-jamboree
@@simplegiftsfarmstead1985 Ok, thank you for the music link. When you see people of all ages on the dance floor, are the older ones (over 50) are usually there with their spouses? Are there that many older people who actually come to the dance totally on their own? Or just mainly younger people who might be there on their own? Whenever I went to other similar dances in the past, all the people in my age group were ALL there with their spouse and I felt kind of out of place. It was ALSO a mixture of ages, which is nice (not just older aged people), but only saw some younger people on their own and those guy's just asked girls around their ages,20's, 30's to dance, not women who were 20 or 30 years older then themselves. ,
