Haitians are our brothers, too. stop dehumanizing them.
As an immigrant myself, I know the sacrifice we made to settle in a foreign land. Away from our family and loved ones for years. Mothers leave their children. Fathers leave their wives and children all in the name of a better future. We work hard for the lowers of pay to take care of ourselves and our families we left behind. We contribute to the society we settle in. We help build and develop the economy. We ask for nothing and expect nothing but the chance to work, settle, and possibly become a citizen.
Right now in America, what is happening to our Haitians brothers and sisters is disgusting and dangerous. The dehumanizing of the Haitian community, a vulnerable community, is unacceptable. It doesn't matter that they are Haitians. We as black people should speak up against such vile and despicable rhetoric against our people. It's shocking to me that some of us joined in, in such rhetoric against our brothers and sisters. Let us not forget that history has a way of repeating itself. Let us not forget our own history. Yesterday was the Mexicans Latinos. Today is the Haitian community. Tomorrow, God forbides. It could be you. #ghana #nigeria #kenya #kilimanjaro #afrocaribbean #africanamerican #daressalaam #afrolatino #tanga #mbeya #africandiaspora #fyp #viralvideo #viral #tanzania

Many Black Americans are not standing up for Black foreigners because when we get murdered and mistreated, no one stands with us or for us. None of the foreigners stand up for us. They sometimes stand against us with the whites. All foreigners come to America and crap on the Black Americans. This is why they are not as moved when they see immigrants being mistreated. We use to stand for other Black immigrants but they are told when they come to America by immigration to stay away from us and we are bad people. When they get in a situation with the whites then because they listened to the whites and did not take time to get to know us we do not get involved in their issues with the government or whites.

Let's understand one thing. No one leaves his or her country of birth if they think that they are doing well and their future looks great. However, also, not everyone leaves their country of birth to relocate for financial reasons or are economic migrants. However, those who do leave for financial reasons, it's because, true or not, they believe it, it's their belief, their perception, so it becomes their reality. However, realities can be changed, it only takes another reality to change the previous reality, if the new reality can be perceived as a better reality. Going abroad to "seek greener pastures" is neither good or bad, the problem is we lack sufficient mentors and role models to show us a different reality from our current reality.

Even intelligence by itself does not guarantee sustainable success. However wisdom, the combined synthesis of education, intelligence, life experiences and a touch of discernment is what is necessary to predict and see the future. FYI, many of the educated people I know, those with PhD, Ms and Bs's lacks critical thinking skills, and even basic common sense...go figure. You are telling people to do as you say, not as you do !You did not leave a good job in Canada at age 28 to return to Africa, you instead worked in Canada until you were eligible for your pension before returning and there is nothing wrong with doing that !! ! Maybe you are not aware but most Africans have built homes and businesses in Africa while working in the West . I work in the US and built two homes in Ghana and have financed many young unemployed relatives in Ghana to start businesses !! Many African doctors do volunteer missions to their countries where they treat patients , perform surgeries , teach medical students and residents for free! They ship home thousands of dollars of medical equipment ( donated by American companies)and drugs for use in the African teaching hospitals !! Total remittances to Africa in 2023 topped 50 billion dollars, from the less than 5% of Africans that live outside the continent ! ! Tanzanians living outside the country sent home 362 million dollars in 2023! If all these people came back and joined the herds of the unemployed in Africa how would that help? We appreciate your love for Africa . Just because we are outside does not mean we love our countries any less!

Its understood that not everyone wants to return home, should go home or even could return home. As a matter of fact, many africans/diasporans no longer even considers Africa home. In fact, you stated correctly, lots of money makes its way back to the continent in many different ways. However, having said that, building individual personal homes and sending money back will do very little to up lift Africa. Volunteeris good.,but again,, it is not what Africa needs. AFRICA NEEDS TO LEARN HOW TO FISH. Africa doesn't have a money problem, nor a housing problem....Africa, has a leadership problem or lack thereof problem, where too many old leaders who continue to lead long after they have out live their usefulness and continue to think that they are still relevant with their outdated practices and relic customs that's no longer beneficial to it peoples.Manny are corrupt and blinded by power and can't even see it or refuse to. Africa, need leaders and mentors on the ground in Africa to train, mentor and guide the youths towards a better future. If I cannot eat or feed my family, I will seek out places where I am able to do so. That's what men do, we are protectors and providers. The problem is, too many of us don't know how to fish or have forgotten how to, because we have been given the fish for far too long by our colonizers...we have simply forgotten how to fish. You cannot want independence from the colonizers and still expect them to give you a fish.

My friend, Africa is not the future, no place is without the a dedication, devotion, discipline and sacrifice to make it so. Africa however, currently has the largest youngest and most youthful population when compared to any other continents. That a plus, because we know that young people are the greatest driver of economic growth, that we know for sure. However, that's not enough to make Africa the go to place in the future. There are other forces working diligently to keep Africa right where it is, that is, a source for raw materials and not refined or value added products. All they have to do is keep Africa divided long enough for another (50-70years), until the population ages, and then it's all over. The question is, what can you do in your own little way to prevent this from happening. The young will grow old, you cannot prevent that, however, what can you you to unite our people so that we all speak with one voice. Remember, in unity there is strength. Also, the greatest killer of dreams are divisiveness and anger.

You cannot blame the Europeans, they cannot take what you already have, unless you willingly gave it up. If you don't sell it they cannot but it. Our own greed is responsible for our own demise. We sell land to foreigners at a price that our brothers and sisters cannot afford. If this foolishness continues, we will all be strangers(renters), in our place of birth. We need to take responsibility for our own behaviors and stop blaming others for our own self inflicted sins.

Plus the "better life" is often a mirage. The big house has a mortgage. The fancy car has a car note. The kids' private school has exhobitant tuition. Even the cell phone has a payment plan. Your lucrative salary is all consumed by bills and you are stuck. Now you can't even invest in your homeland. You're making more money than you dreamed you could, but you're also spending all of it. You're struggling just like before. The only difference is that you have some shiny objects to distract you.

Both things, can true at the same time. You can make more money in the West but only people who have lived in the West truly understand the difficulty, humiliation and rejection many Africans have tolerate living in the West. The peace and sense of belonging you feel in Africa is real as well, especially for the ones of us who have been away. I don’t think most of us leave voluntarily, we want to be at home but have to leave for a better chance of survival. But Africa is growing, reclaiming its place on the world stage. Channels like this one, help give businesses ideas, those on the continent as well as those who want to move back home. @josephbrown1573 I ordered equipment from China to start my business because I can afford to start a business with equipment at a certain level. Money is not necessarily needed to start a business. An idea and the vision is all you need. Many people in Africa have fruit trees in their compound or have farm land available to them. A business can be started with what you have available around you. For example: during mango season, or whatever fruit is available at the time. Pluck some fruits, slice them, and dry them in the sun. Do research and educate oneself on how it is done. Companies purchase dry fruits for snack making. Sell your dry fruits to them. After receiving some money, use the 70/30 rule to keep building. If you have vision and are focused, you can build a nice business from nothing. Maize farming is very lucrative here in tanzania and East Africa. Africa on a whole for that matter. During planting season, get some good quality maize seeds for planting. During harvest season, don't sell the maize. Stowe it up until it is scarce in the market. Afterward, sell it for a higher price. Again, use the 70/30 rule. When you have saved up enough money, purchase a maize milling machine and mill your maize into ugali flour. Start selling ugali flour and keep growing from them. All you need is vision to see what's beyond in front of you. determination to succeed, hard work, and patience. Many businesses can be started without money.

For some one from the diaspora wanting to invest in avocado business in Africa growing is the best uption. First secure land, setup an irrigation system then buy one year old avocado plants from the best avocado trees producer in Kenya ISINYA roses. Thier trees start bearing fruits in the second year.a hectare of avocado in Kenya and Tanzania in second year should give you about $9000 a year. Starting with 5 hectares is best.

Therefore my brother we can't ignore the prophecy in Deu 28 . TMH said this will happen if we dont listen and it's happening. It is not that we are not intelligent people, but the scripture must be fulfill. We fail to come back to TMH laws statues and commandment. So he put us in this condition for a reason. READ verse 43, 44,45. By and large the strangers could be the Chinese, Korean and so on not necessarily our colonisers. Hope you understand my brother.

Every nation have protectionist measures to protect their infant industry, why we African blacks always give in. It shameful to see so much poverty on the continent, whilst we have so much arable land ? Policy! policy! policy! No one comes to you country for your progress or interest. When are we going to wake up.

If you live in downtown Toronto $ 1700 , will not get you anything. You'll have to dole out @ $2500 for some places. I don't understand how someone who makes $15/ hr makes it. This is high definition stressfulness. . Our people need to consider the African option , quality of life will be much better and easier for most, just leave your Canadian and American life style behind and you'll be fine.
