Why should I Replace The Ground Clamp on my TITANIUM Easy-Flux 125 Welder with $8 BERGER 300 Clamp
@Squishey replacing Ground Clamp on TITANIUM Easy-Flux 125 Amp Welder with $8 BERGER 300 Amp Welding Ground Clamp a frustrated beginning welder experience
I’m a beginner and I noticed this about my ground clamp. Ground clamps that came with my welder just doesn’t work. CHICAGO ELECTRIC WELDING
Welding Cable Lugs - #2 AWG, 1/2 In. Stud, 2 Pc
This ground clamp that comes with the 125 has a weak spring, poor wire contact and poor surface contact Ground clamp conducts electricity and sucks energy at out of the weld in point. Both ends of the clamp are not very good, the wire side and the clamp side. Berger replacement so it’s no very expensive. It’s has a great contact area. A strong spring.
Using a good lug, it has better wire contact, and copper braided stunt. nice contact. See how the ground connects right to the clamp end. The amps on the welder is a max of 125 and it says 300 on the clamp, so the clamp will pass double the amount of amperage
Now I have to turn down the voltage and wire speed, it runs a lot hotter which I think is good for better weld penetration.
Let’s test it out.
I found out learning with this junk clamp was harder for me then using a good clamp. It makes learning a lot easier.

It’s really hard doing things the first time but by number fifteen you should be good at it. Great video, it helped me a lot. Today I did this to mine, can't say its 100% but its 90% better than before. Thank you for the how-to video. I found one thing to add, at the 4:40 mark in your video, "I found the problem, this part is sticking" I found that the black part just below and to the left; slides right out. Then onto the white part has that pin/spring through it (the sticking part). You can pick at the bottom of the pin with a small screw driver, to lift it and the white part out to allow cleaning behind and around this little part. Thanks for the video, not being critical, just trying to add my findings help you and others. Now to the guy that said "They sell refurbished actuators so you replace" Where, who are "they"? I couldn't find them, and one day I will need a replacement. Besides, the point of this video was to fix it yourself without having to shell out dough to replace it.

    • @Squisheyy
      @Squisheyy หลายเดือนก่อน

      That's a great tip. Thank you. I look for a black stopper and a pin. I guess you can buy parts on parts, but if the motor is good and the plastic gear isn't broken, I prefer to save my money. That's just me. I'm working on a Rabbit door lock actuator for a freind right now. It's pretty much the same. It's been 2 years now and no new issues I'm happy to report. I'm happy to hear it helped out. Thank you.

      I've been trying to get access to the key code charts and databases for awhile. Everytime a site comes up it gets shutdown. Typically dealers and license locksmiths can pay to access these if you can get one to decode the pins from the key code, which I'm not either. I just don't want to have different keys for different locks. Just 1 key for all the locks and repinning is not that big of a deal. Self cutting keys is pretty easy to, it just takes time.

    Hey Squishy, as an is300 owner for over 20 years changing its oil every 3k, I recommend removing the oil; stick and transmission stick and inserting the new oil filter in backwards right at the transmission stick location, once in rotate it into to its receiver position. Prior to this use your old oil filter to rub oil on the new filters gasket prior to installation. Oil changes with new filter on is300 require only 5 quarts of oil, the standard oil gallons they sell should work fine no more no less than required. This job should take 20 minutes max.

    Hi found this great did manage to get the cable straight by tapping it round with a small hammer to take out kinks but suspect it will kink again where did you get the new cable from as I cant seem to find any on the net.Cheers

      try reaching out to HJC Support or contact the place you got the helmet from.. support@hjchelmets.com or 562-407-2186. You can also try flipping the cable so the kink is at the top as some commenters mentioned. Also, stretching and twisting the cable and then melting lead in it like fixing a frayed bicycle break cable repair.

    Depending on the year of your toyota the "Toyota security" wiring means you have remote keyless entry. Either the Rs3000 or the Rs3200.

      It's a Silencer Immobilizer, not Toyota remote keyless entry btw. The stupid old school FOB key, folks used to install them for an insurance discount, I think they sold them at circuit city for $150.

    Hey. Did replacing the solenoid help? I have a box a960e with p0979. Many people say that the problem is the ECU. Does it make sense for me to try changing the solenoid?

    • @Squisheyy
      @Squisheyy 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Did you try the transmission fluid first? I'm not a mechanic, but from reading manuals and blog post, I understood that the little solenoid sticks or loses signal. So the problems are related to fluid (dirty or not Toyota fluid), Electrical contact to the solenoid, or the solenoid itself. I did the fluid first and got another 3 years before the error came back (Don't drain all the fluid or do a full flush, only replace what drains out of the pan). I also tested the wiring to the solenoid and it tested good. Then I tested the solenoid and the ohm test failed so I replaced the solenoid and haven't had an issue since. Sometimes you can clean a solenoid out and it will work a little longer too. It's just the exhaust brace on the 05 gave me so many problems with exhaust leaks, I didn't want to do it again, replacing the exhaust gasket is such a PITA. www.clublexus.com/forums/gs-2nd-gen-1998-2005/544868-p0980.html If the solenoid and wiring harness tested good, then it's on to the ECU testing, My experience is that the ECU doesn't go bad. Good Luck.

    I bought one from a friend single owner with 300k for $1,000. It's 4 cylinder and no 4x4. The actual body looks cleaner than yours. The seats need some work. Truck is silverish color but the interior is the same exact color as yours.

      Search TH-cam for videos by "ATRA -Automatic Transmission Rebuilders Association". They have information on various Toyota/Lexus transmission. Once you find the video, check for the detail of it. They have posted URL to their presentation material.

    • @Squisheyy
      @Squisheyy 8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      If the fluid is old and hasn't been changed or the weight of the fluid is wrong (Using only Lexus transmission fluid) That solenoid will stick. A is usually first to second gear on Toyota/Lexus. I'd say you have an 80% chance that changing the fluid will make the error code go away. 20% chance the solenoid A is going bad or the wiring isn't making a good connection. I'd order the fluid online and change it. Measure the fluid that comes out and put the same amount back in. Don't flush it, about 3-4 quarts of old fluid will stay in the system and you want to have some old fluid in there or it will shock the transmission and cause other failures. I know it's strange, but the Lexus transmission is machined with tolerances in the microns and the computer adjusts like crazy overtime.

      I haven't been able to find a replacement. Try HJC customer support. A few comments below had success reversing the cable. I've also read on forums that you can squeeze the bird cage out and melt lead into it and grind it smooth, like fixing bicycle brake cables. If your able to find a replacement, let me know.

    Like others who have left a comment here I managed to kink the glide cable after clamping my SENA over the cable, pinching it against the helmet shell, then trying to force the slide control back, after just purchasing an RPHA 90S, yesterday! I did a search for "jammed HJC cable" and got your video. Between you and "reverse the cable guy" I went from disaster mode back to happily excited with my new helmet. THANK YOU BOTH!

      I've read on Club Lexus it can be sanded, primered and painted black, I suppose chrome painted or chrome wrapped using self adhesive wrap from amazon. Most of the pieces are glued with a strong epoxy. It's a common problem on older Lexus and 4 runners with these handles. I can't find the pieces for sale.
