How Reliable is the New 2024 Nissan Patrol/Armada Y62? Why Arab Patrol over Armada?
The Nissan Patrol/Armada Y62 has been in production since 2010, and updates have been limited to facelifts only. Initially, the Patrol was offered with two engine options: the 5.6 L VK56DE and VK56VD. However, in the latest facelift, the version with distributed injection was removed, and instead, a 4.0 L VQ40DE V6 engine was introduced (for the UAE market). The transmission remains unchanged, utilizing the old Jatco automatic transmission JR711E/RE7R01B, which was based on the durable JR710E/RE7R01A automatic transmission. Let's also discuss the suspension and the reliability of the HBMC (Hydraulic Body Motion Control) system.

How Reliable is the New 2024 Toyota Tacoma? Bye forever, durable naturally aspirated engines.
มุมมอง 28K5 หลายเดือนก่อน
Toyota is deviating from its traditions, and reliable naturally aspirated engines on the new 2024 Fourth generation Tacoma are now a thing of the past. In their place comes the new turbocharged 2.4L T24A-FTS turbo I4 (TZNA40/41/45/46), along with a hybrid version, the 2.4L T24A-FTS turbo I4 (TZNH47). The question arises: how will this impact the reliability of a model that has been the epitome ...

Reliable Chevy? Assessing the Durability of the New Chevrolet Traverse 2024. Despite not getting much information about the new 2.5 LK0 engine at the third-generation Traverse presentation, it represents a part of GM's new family of turbocharged engines. So, we already know that the 2.5 LK0 will be a downsized version of the 2.7 L3B, and there's a lot to discuss here. We'll also explore the sim...
I bought a 2014 CX-5 GT with 158k miles. It had carbon buildup on the intake manifold leading to misfires. Other than that, one brake caliper, one ignition coil and one Bose speaker went bad. Front heated seat only heats the back.
What a horrible video.
This video is excellent. A lot of people don't know what real regular maintenance these vehicles require, especially the 2.2 diesel, which requires more maintenance than the petrol version.
thank you man👍🏻
Mazda has 2.9% APR $0 Down right now on the CX-5. Can easily get 4k off MSRP on the higher trims. Good buy.
This scoring in the cylinders is a joke. Nothing wrong these engines. They run a long time.
I prefer the cx9. The cx5 looks kinda like a cutesy chick vehicle. But too each their own!
Yet another ignorant, caveman thinking, review with absolutely no data to back up the position. The 2.4 was overbuilt to industrial standards. Modern turbos have been used reliably in many cars for over a decade with people routinely getting long service life. Get a clue flat earthers!
mazda had the tribute since since 2001 which was shared with ford so no it wasn't in 2012..you are wrong
Hey thanks
thanks for watching 👍🏻
What are your thoughts regarding the 2.5 engine with cylinder deactivation. Is it reliable or should it be avoided?
it should be better than it was
My 2024 traverse RS became faulty with the High pressure fuel pump and is currently at the dealership on back order with less than 100 miles I only enjoyed the vehicle for a couple days and that happened
You will know how reliable it is in 12 years / 200000 miles. My guess is.... I'm not optimistic.
Curious if this was just one vehicle tested or if it is in fact real scoring as some say in the comments it is not. Why does the background VW car have Russian license plates @10:32 and Russian paperwork? Was this car subject to harsh Russian weather conditions and fuel? Almost every comment in here is positive for the Mazda CX-5 rather than the negativity being displayed by the video.
Put that up for sale next to a Forunner when they're both 15 years old. It's a poor value compared to a Toyota!
I bought a CX-5 2024 I’m happy with my car ❤
Toyota has watched Ford GM and Dodge build shitty Trucks for years so they decided hey we can build over Priced Shit too. Anyone think we are going to see any of these turbo 4's show a Million Miles on the odometer like the old 5.7 V8 or V6 did? Toyota just invented through away engines so they should at least price them accordingly and tell people you Lucky Dog you just bought a 50,000 Mile Truck engine if your really really Lucky. They need to extend their Drive train Warranty or go back to their tried and true until they get the turbo 4's right.
Most people in the U.S.A. could care less about reliability unfortunately; all they care about is having the best and the coolest vehicle in their neighborhood, bottom line. So it doesn’t really matter if the Tacoma has the V6 or an engine with a turbocharger, they just want to be noticed and acknowledged by everyone around them.
I have had my CX5 for about 2+ years now with over 60,000 kms. Hands down the best vehicle and no trouble whatsoever. If you are looking for a vehicle in this segment. Just buy this one already.
I was 1000th like
MEXICO????? TURBO????? OVER PRICED land UNRELIABLE. Scotty Kilmer will tell you. RUN AWAY
Turbocharged? Nope.
If any vehicle has a turbo I run away as fast as I can. Turbo 4cylinder ?🤣😂🤣😂😂🤣😂
I agree, i think Toyota made a huge mistake with this 4 banger turbo.......
How do you know if it’s reliable if it just came out? You need at least 5 years of the platform being out to know.
Adding port injection to DI has been the best way to keep intake valves clean. Anything else just won't answer. This review does not inspire confidence in this product.
To me, vehicles with a lot of highway miles haven’t really been challenged for durability. At the very least, durability in extensive stop & go traffic is more telling. This is an area where domestic vehicles need improvement.
Looks like the mitsubishi montero sport
Crap! If they wanted to stop carbon buildup on valves, they should have done what Nissan did on their 4 cylinder V8 turbo and add port injectors along side direct injection.
I did not regret buying my 3rd gen tacoma. What I regret that Toyota took jobs to Mexico to make 2024 pos Tacoma. If I want turbo charge, Ill buy sports car. Right now Im shopping for my son truck either Ranger or Ridgeline. At least they are V6 either American made n Japanese quality made. Another lies that economy is to blame n that is the lowest excuses. Toyota already paying American labor of pathetic rate of $15/hr n now Mexican of $2.75/he with retail of TRD $60kplus tax on 4 cylinder.
How can you tell if the transmission will blow up or not 3 years from now when it is brand new!?!?

I've owned numerous cars for 60 years including Honda's, Toyota's & a few of the Big 3. Most were reliable as I research vehicle reliability prior to purchasing. I recently bought a used '21 CX5 & I'm already sold on it's quality, drivability & style. It's also the first car I've owned that everybody has commented on it's "nice" colour, it's Eternal Blue Mica. I've also talked to several CX5 owners who own 2016 to 2022 models & they're all very happy with their cars.

Junk!! I would never buy another Traverse! I have a nice looking vehicle in my driveway that won’t start and I’ve been told it needs a new engine. I’m so angry with Chevrolet! They knew there were problems with the 2011 but apparently didn’t care enough to fix the problem. Never again will I buy a Chevrolet! Probably can’t get even a hundred for the body of the traverse sitting in my driveway.
not clear on trans oil change mileage instructions. Not sure what intervals you are suggesting after 60K first change. Partial change after 60K then every 40K. That would mean 60Kfull, Partial 100K, , Then back to full change at???
toyota sux azz now
From what year starts new generation engine?
I just test drove it today and damn... it is so bad!!! I test drove the RS version and it is screaming and not going anywhere. That 4 cylinder sucks !! The whole interior of the build is so cheap and no point in comparing that to any Japanese car
Its a chevy, mack told me to stay away. Toyota is laughing by the way at their headache. Looks great though!
I just bought a trd sport 2024.Down here in PR. we pay for a trd sport what you pay for the off road with a full package because of taxes.I like the way it feels and moves but then again ,is my first tacoma.
You should make a video on a Lexus GX460 reliability or The Toyota LC150
It would be interesting to make a video about these cars. The GX460 has an excellent engine, but it's very important to service it properly and wash the radiator regularly. As for the LC150, with the right engines, it's tough to break this vehicle.
@@thelonglastexpert I do have a 2014 lc150 with the 2TR-FE has been amazing for the past 10 years 0 headaches but very weak on power, Should I upgrade to the Infiniti QX80 2017?
@@aayanusman9296 From a reliability standpoint, it’s not worth changing, but if you need a lot of power, then why not
This is awesome! Thank you for diong the research and adding the content into your videos for (would be) owners of the Mazdas. Regardless of what manufacturer, end of the day, when they all compete, we win as they drive each other to be better. From your previous video, I like how Chevy figured out how to solve carbon build up in direct injection engines. Keep up the great work! I hope this channel continues to grow!
Thank you very much for your comment. Unfortunately, creating videos takes a lot of time, as everything you see is the result of the work of just one person, which is why the videos are released with significant delays. In the future, of course, the situation will change, and videos will be released once a week, so I'll be happy to see you among the subscribers to the channel, of course if you liked this content 😊
Is this a joke? 3.6l has a terrible reputation!!! I’m glad some people have had good luck with it, but that doesn’t seem the norm. Looks like a commercial rather than informative.
Wow impressive. Glad I bought an Armada and not the Sequoia.
This man tried his hardest to find the few videos of mazda lemons as possible. He's literally full of it, because mazda developed heated intake valves with the 2013 up skyactiv engines. So carbon buildup isn't a problem in these unlike other GDI engines. Also the scoring marks are only from mazdas 1st couple years when they first introduced cylinder deactivation, it's not a problem in other variations and seems to be fixed in newer models with cylinder deactivation, which honestly is a plague for any vehicle to have cylinder deactivation. And i sell parts for a living for the last decade and regularly see mazdas not needing spark plugs until 100k on N/A models and they only look like 60k miles from most other vehicles honestly, which seems like great ignition technology, its also worth noting The major shareholders in mazda are also the major shareholders for NGK/NTK.etc.
I never keep a car longer than 5 years out of boredom. I rarely off road. I always keep my car garaged and serviced every 5,000 mile. I don’t have anything to tow. I like gimmicks and tech. I have no pet and no kids. I’m financially stable. The new TRD Pro would be my pick. 😂
Who came up with this BS to try to boost sales. Traverse is no where close to toyota reliability.
Chevy vs Toyota Reliability????? That’s a big question but easy to answer.. History is a proof..
