Very excited about this one! Preview of the upcoming physics hands and finger IK (Inverse Kinematics) update. Improved physics hands stabilization, and finger IK can now flex and extend based on what it's in contact with. Update should be coming soon for this one :)

Showing off the new Revolver coming in the next vrif update. The trigger, hammer, and spindle are all animated, you can physically eject shells, use wrist flick to open / close the spindle, and even spin the gun like a true cowboy :P Yeehaw!

I can't seem to get the slider to work, as in I can't seem to grab it (using a SIG MCX, slider is on the top near the stock). Another thing when trying to grab the slider, I end up grabbing the collapsible stock instead. I have tried messing around with the colliders but no results. It's driving me nuts lol.

Id like to see physical hands/arms with the full body setup, i was a bit let down when i set up the full body and arms were going through eachother lol. Also a hand posing system/ui similar to UltimateXR would be much appreciated. I seem to have issues with the method you showed on your tutorial, when i hit play mode and try to adjust the blend between closed&open it only works for the mi/ring/pinky but the slider for the index, thumb and grip goes absolutely bonkers and just constantly changes number (but doesnt actually move on screen). So creating new poses has been very cumbersome, since i have to do it manually then adjust the grip transforms and repeat until a decent result is achieved.
Do you already have an idea when you will release these physics updates? I have to start a project and with that update I would definitely use VRIF

I am so excited for this but i have two questions: 1. Will it work with custom full body avatars? 2. Will you ever continue to work on the stab system?
I haven an RPG system that id like to implement this kit into for a VR Experience. Curious to see how this package handles an inventory system.

hey man, I'm using mixamo body and the arms don't stretch with the hand's movement, any advice to work? I tried the avatar's muscle settings but is weird how the arms twist and stretch, I have Final IK should I use that or there's some setting that I can do without final ik like your tutorial? I'd like a behavior that the arms open in a natural move opening the elbow, with final ik we got this, I'm using with the mirror integration to multiplayer. Thanks.
@rss518 FinalIK is the better solution so I'd say stick with that! Its a bit more to learn but worth it, especially for the elbows, and vrif has an integration with it as well
Really been enjoying VRIF!!! It's such a great asset and messing with the guns and attachments is a ton of fun by itself. Lol An update to the melee weapons would be awesome if you didn't already have that planned. Like "slicing and stabbing". Great video thank you!

You should make it so it can also be controlled by the controller joystick so ppl can do different types of vehicles like a horse or smth
im having trouble so basically i have followed the tutorial for 2020+ and im using 2021.3.32f1 so it should work but when i import the package i get three errors about a script called the UIPointer and ive deleted the script and reinstalled it using the package manager and its still not working so can you help me out please?

you should add a stabbing system and make the tools break if theyre hitting a certain object eg: metal against a wooden sword or something like that

Great Work. I have an issue when I build to play multiplayer with quest 2 and 3, just works on PC. What can i do to play just with the quest using mirror? I'm using the demo scene and the host and client just works when i use the unity's editor and the windows build, i need to play just with the quest 2 and quest 3. Am i missing something in the setup?
@@rss518 You probably need a ui where you can let the client enter the host ip to connect. Otherwise its trying to connect to localhost

@brurrik hmm I have not tried, though vrif has its own integration with Mirror that is open source if youre looking for multiplayer functionality

Also the fact that you are still supporting this. AUTOHAND was my favorite but the author keeps disappearing and idk if it’ll be supported long term.
I’m really happy you’re still supporting this assets. Some other ones have been abandoned or too difficult to use. I think I’m gonna buy this now that it’s on sale. I hope you don’t plan on abandoning it lol
Hey Bearded I know this might sound stupid. But would you please make a tutorial on how to setup VRIF from scratch. Like Create a project, install necessary things, setup a base interaction example with a stick maybe. I know it feels stupid to ask but nowadays VR has changed quite a bit and everything is outdated and its hard just to setup everything to start correct and Unity has changed quite a bit since the original setup videos. Maybe just an update setup to Unity 2023 or Unity 6

I managed to make it work for the body but unfotunately the hands animation does not apply, in this video it like it is magically skipped, my body and hands apply correctly but not the hands movement, would you know why ?
@feral.rage.studio You might need to remove the hand joints from the avatar configuration, otherwise the animator will override the hand rotations and the handposer wont work. If you cant rotate the finger joints in play mode then thats the issue

Technically, yes, at least for the feet, but for full body with thighs FinalIK would be a much better solution. You'd also need to hook it up yourself using something like OSCTrackers - docs.vrchat.com/docs/osc-trackers

Nice! I see at 26sec the hands have arms ! - can you setup a simple neutral full body humanoid avatar.. with head + facial blendshapes - we could change out the clothing / face skins etc .. would be great to have a generic working hand-tracked full body avatar for mobile multiplayer vr dev

for testing, i used the mixamo remy model, and it's gigantic when i added the follow IK component
@Salmontoes You can change the model's import size from 1 to something like 0.1 if its gigantic. Or could be the base model size setting - try changiing it during runtime from 1.65 (meters) to match the height

@@IDoesGaming1 You probably need to set the vehicle's Enter/Exit handles to call the AttachPlayerToSeat function. Otherwise nothing will happen when you grab the handles. I'll see about including a truck in one of the demo levels for full body avatars with it set up

I have bought the framework before this update and worked fine but when i updated it it wont work in vr anymore. It just does nothing and doesnt even go onto unity, other projects with the older versions are working tho

Your framework is the most invaluable asset i have ever purchased, it really let me focus on the gameplay instead of figuring out how to make everything just...work! Many thanks sir, only issue im having is integrating this into MR gameplay, if you ever make an update to facilitate that feature set, i would gladly pay extra
