to be honest, i'm not really sure if this board is hot-swappable. my friend was taking off the keycaps and one of the switch came out and i tried putting other 3 pin switches on it, and it still worked so idk???? I used my extra stock Royal Kludge brown switches from my video about a year ago to get rid of those nasty nasty blue switches. And I used KTT Sea Salt Lemon (love this switch sm) lube...

tbh i researched the internet beforehand if it was but i couldnt find any article that states that it is. so i tried to remove one switch to test if it'll work with another switch and it did so yeah i guess it is.

hi, is it safe to tempest mod the battery version of this board?
not personally the biggest fan of the alice layout but this board looks and sounds pretty amazing. the switch variation on this build is also interesting, i havent seen anyone put different switches of the space bars. mirror finish is one of favorite keyboard aesthetics

Subbed. I've been looking for a cheap board and have been looking at this one. Honestly, in your opinion was the board hard to crack open? Like, at any point did you worry about breaking it?
I just got the same board. It’s not too hard, the trick is holding onto the upper frame and pushing the board out

U should put pe foam it might've came with it but u prob threw it away like most people but everyone has some so I'd suggest to use it. Make sure it's fine with ur PCB tho
what's the purpose of clipping the stabilizers?
i think it makes them more stable but not exactly sure
It's a feel thing, the legs she clipped on the stabilizers make it feel mushy, since it softens the impact when it hits down on the pcb
The stabilizers are clipped because if you don’t clip TA Ilias ers they will feel mushy,so if you clip them they will feel and sound much better
Have you found any software to remap the keys on the IK75 Pro? I've tried the FEKER Driver and Via with no success. I'm planning to flash using QMK but scared to do so yet.
Check if your board supports VIA/QMK. I saw a video from youtube that a version of Feker IK75 is VIA/QMK Compatible.

Any reason for the choices of different switches for specific keys?
i just wanted to try different tactile switches on my board heeh
For my keyboard tempest mod I used electrical tape to avoid becoming an electro wizard
this is not advisable, the adhesive of the elecrtrical tape will destroy ur pcb. go light, use masking tape :D
So that's that 5 years of dead skin & food crumbs looks like... Gross. Also, it's great how pretty much any hot swap keyboard can be transformed into a good sounding board with mods. Tape mod + PE foam mod + holee mod & lube. Oh, and the new switches and stabs and keycaps.

hi, thinking about Keychron k8 pro OR this custom board, what you can recommend? i saw that on Aliexpress there are some negative comments that it board not reliable. AND pleeeased help me to understand with that custom board what about Stabs, can i buy every stabs or there are some limitations?
I think you have to use clip in stabilizers ( I would recommend durock) screw ins are better but the holes for the screws are missing

i think you did super well for your first time! my only criticism was the video itself. it is INCREDIBLY quiet. i had my volume on max and could still barely hear it. but from what i did hear, you did good! better than my first keeb mod for sure
