Very nice radio! I spent the better part of 3 years in Nurnburg in the US Army in 1977-1980. I had a Panasonic RF-7050 stereo radio 8-track player. Wish I had that now. I only listened to AFRN (Armed Forces Radio Network) as I remember. Didn’t know about DXing back then.

I like to hear the quality of the various stations, this video is lacking that.

Wow, i was researching tivoli fm radio with bluetooth, and this brand came up, after some Googling i found this brand from Taiwan and i want this model badly. Love the retro analogue vibe.

I have the sangean pdrd5. It sounds very good

I love mine....amazing sound and in dim room the lit dial is great. Only issue for me is the tiny dials....hard to deal with

I like that it has bass and treble adjustments. You don’t see illuminated tuning much any more. It has a nice long slide rule tuner: not bunched up like other radios. Reminds me of the old console radios. The WR-12 is my favorite of the Sangean table top radios.

These radios do not come with a cable to connect to power or are they battery powered?

i had the wfr-28 non bluetooth version. is this model exclusive to europe? i saw DAB radio and we don’t get that here in america

Will the Sangean WR-12 work with a smart plug? I like my radio to turn on early in the morning, shutting off automatically after 2 hours, then turn on again the evenings during weekdays, and different times on the weekends.

Compared to the WR-2 model how does it sound? If I could find a walnut WR-2 model in EU I'd buy it, but now only the black model is available (wife, you know). The WR-2 has 7Watt instead of 5W and the amplifier isn't class D.

Hi does this radio stream BBc radio channels ?

Removal of the media function is a bad idea. It was a key reason it bought the 94i

it's not analog tuner, it is DSP. lifetime is much less than heterodyne like sony icf-18 (~400 hours with 2 d-cells). I have also icf-19, very similar to icf-506, but with D-cells. And it works ~60 hours with 3 d-cells. So, for good sensitivity icf-506 and icf-19 are the best, but for long life it is better to choose realy analogue radio

Thanks for the excellent review. Do you happen to know the Bluetooth codec/codecs it can accept when playing music from a smartphone or other device?

It chews through batteries, I tried rechargeable batteries but it goes through those as well, I take one battery out when it's not in use and that seems to help stop the drain, DAB is a huge disappointment in this respect, unlike a trad transistor radio, it even says in the handbook to use batteries occasionally, so in essence this is a radio for the kitchen and via a mains lead. I still haven't found out what the port is for just inside the battery lid? No mention in the handbook at all!

I have the Sangean DDR-203 which is the older model of this one. It doesn't have aux but I love this radio anyway.

Like the look except for the display of course. The speaker grille has the look of a classic little ITT set from the 70s. 👍

Al comprobar, que utiliza tres pilas de tamaño R6 y tener un altavoz grande, no debe de ser muy duraderas la vida útil de las tres pilas. Muchas gracias por la atención.
