Is Your Life Off Balance? | Overcoming Anxiety & Stress
Today I share with you a message I believe the Lord spoke to me at 2:30am. I have been dealing with anxiety and stress. Sometimes in life our lives get out of balance just like my old washing machine. We are not designed to live in a state of stress. We may have to push the stop button and rearrange some thing to get our lives back in balance. I wanted to share this because I know that many people deal with anxiety and stress and I knew this message was not just for me.

I’m sure many people can relate to this. Thank you for the reminder. Wishing your family a wonderful and Merry Christmas.
I got to ride the Belle in 71’ on a hot summer night at the age of 6 with my family. Dad thought it would be a nice impromptu thing to do on the way to visit relatives in Shelby County. He thought it was going to be a short excursion. Turned out to be an overnight wedding cruise instead. My mom crashed the reception and got my sister and me a piece of cake because we hadn’t ate nothing for supper yet. I spent most of the time watching the paddle from the rear deck and was kinda sick from the smell of the steam. It kinda smelled like boiled hotdog water. The best family trips are from the worst experiences. We look back with laughter though. I wouldn’t mind trying a nice 2 hour afternoon cruise someday though.
Wow! That is quite a memorable experience! Something that stuck with you all those years. The two hour excursion was extremely enjoyable especially with all the nostalgic 70s music!
Exercise is great for stress 👍 Merry Christmas 🎄
It sure is! That’s one of the many reasons we walk daily Have a wonderful Christmas Brian! 🎄
Thank you for another informative video. Perspective and evaluation are two very important guides to life’s decisions we make. Have an amazing Sunday and I will be looking forward to the next video
Thanks so very much! Hope you and your family have a blessed Christmas week 😊🎄
Learning to delgate, to slow down and refocus can be very hard for many. It can feel like failure. There are no Wonder Women, no Wonder Men. Just people going over their boundaries to try to be all for all. Slow down and stop to smell the roses, or in the time frame from now - the pine of the Christmas trees. A wise elderly neighbour once said “ Why is everyone rushing, the tortoise celebrates New Year the same time as the hare”! I love that. A blessed Christmas for you, Keith and family. 🙏🇳🇱🎄🥝
So true Anita! May your family have a very blessed Christmas 🎄
Such beautiful night footage and Christmas lights! Thanks for sharing!
We truly appreciate you watching! Merry Christmas 🎄
What a great night. Merry Christmas
It was very enjoyable! Merry Christmas to you and Pearl! 🎄
A Christmas hayride sounds lovely. Looks like Corydon is very festively decorated. Thanks for taking us along for the ride! Hope y’all have a very merry Christmas!
Our little town is so festive especially at Christmas time. We have been praying for you all as you go through this difficult season 🙏
Have a safe and Merry Christmas. Thank you for yet another informative video. I loved Butt drugs in your town.
Looks really nice there guys 👍 love a Christmas light trail 👌 Glyn 🇬🇧 and have a very merry Christmas 🎄
Merry Christmas to you & your family as well! 🎄
What a wonderful tour of Corydon! I didn’t know they did that! I also didn’t know that you were once a tour guide at the old state capital! Who knows, you might’ve been my guide years ago!
I was 17 when I got my first job there. The lady who ‘trained’ me handed me a book and told me to read it and then talk about it when people came in. That was my training 😅 I did get to watch her do a couple tours…but still….I didn’t know what I was doing 😂
@ One of those “fake it until you make it” situations! The last time I visited, it was just me on the tour, last one of the day. I must have a vibe about me, though. The young lady giving the tour, probably in her early 20s, found out I had a TH-cam channel, and we talked more about weird history than we did the capitol! It was actually a fantastic time! ☺️
Thank you! I had watched a video of President Trump's plane the other day and, of course, it's spectacular. However, for 1975, my retired pilot friend has told me there were few jets in the air to match would Elvis had. I believe the plane cost more, too, because Elvis insisted on having four jet engines when you could fly it with only two. In addition to the $600 - $800 extra thousand he spent upgrading it, I'm told there was an additional upgrade that cost several hundred more thousand. As Elvis, near the end, had retractable steps added because the moveable steps used for many planes were not always available right when he wanted to depart the craft.
That’s interesting details! It was so cool to see and walk through!
That was cool. Are the trails open to walk at night or only open to hayride?
They close the walking path for this event so it’s only accessible through the hay ride.
Looks like a fun hay ride 🎄😃
It was very enjoyable! Merry Christmas Brian! 🎄
@ Merry Christmas 🎄

That's bang on about watching the weight Terri I see so many putting the Pounds on as they get older but there are that few that look after themselves and keep fit 👍 hope you both have a great Christmas ⛄ Glyn 🇬🇧
We also wish you and your family a very Merry Christmas 🎄
I love that you guys do this and I wish I could find something like that here. What a great way to travel and meet new people!
@@joannsalas it’s a great way to go places and not have to drive or plan. We’ve had great experiences each time.
Being active is one of the basic rules - young and old. And if you keep fit young, you'll find keeping fit when older part of life's routine. Having dreams is also something one needs to cultivate- within one's reason and wallet. We found, moving to a new address before retirement ( from a 3 story to level living) we made new friends in a time of change. Now we are well settled and pensioned our social life looks interesting and renewed. Follow your dream - while you still have the energy to realise this. 👌🇳🇱🧑🎄🥝 ps. (Still get the buzz- I've studied the video and think indeed it are the microphones. They resonate back with maybe the camera? When you move Terri there is a wee change occasionally. The mug or you interrupt fractionally the buzz.) 🎄
You are so right Anita. If we embrace the habit of being active when we are young it carries over once we are older. Sorry to hear that you’re still hearing the buzz. 😟 Hopefully it won’t deter you from watching our videos. Have a great week! 😊
Another Great video ya’ll! Our hope is that this old world keeps spinning long enough for us to retire. We hope to retire between 54-57yrs old😊
You’re well on your way for having a plan and a homestead. You’ll be surprised how fast the time will pass!
Great tips!!
Thanks so much! Have a great week!
@@RetiredLovingIt Same to you and have a great Christmas!
We try to make the most of each day and yet we don't often have a say in what we will be doing. With an elderly mother in a nursing home and Gary declining, it's been challenging. Although Gary is not our family, his family has zero interest in helping out. We've taken care of him for the last 7 years to keep him out of assisted living. There are days I feel like Joe and I won't get to enjoy retirement like we've dreamed and planned for.
It is true that sometimes we don’t have a say and things may not work out like we dreamed of or planned. But we can take comfort in knowing we did our best with what we were given 🙏🏻
Great talk 👍 😃
Thanks Brian!
What is your retirement blueprint?
Thank you again for another informative video. I had never considered a bus tour for vacations. I’m now considering it. Have a safe and happy holiday season.
It’s much less stress because they do all the planning and driving. You just hop on the bus and have fun.
Looks like your Thanksgiving feast was wonderful. We spent Thanksgiving in the hospital as well. Jack’s younger sister got really sick a week before Thanksgiving and ended up passing away about a week ago now. Our family is going through a very difficult time. Prayers are appreciated. We are still thankful for her life and know she is with her Lord now. Anyway, real life has prevented me from doing much with TH-cam the last couple of weeks so I am trying to catch up now. Hope your son has recuperated from pneumonia.
Oh my goodness we are so very sorry for your loss 😢🙏 how horrible to experience during the holidays. We certainly will be praying for your family. Our son is doing much better now. It seems this particular holiday season has been more stressful than usual. We offer our sincere condolences in your time of loss.
This event looks like a fun way to promote next year’s trips. We will be excited to see videos from all your travels next year - especially Biltmore. We love the Biltmore Estate… especially at Christmas!
We have never been at Christmas and we’re looking so forward to going this year and then it was canceled. Can’t wait to see it next year!
What a fun way to learn about tours. Sounds like you booked some great trips!
It was a very fun event! It was our first time attending
My parents used to do bus tours all the time till Covid hit. They stopped the tours and the bus company went out businesses.
That’s a shame. Covid hit a lot of businesses hard especially the travel industry
That looks great guys 👍 its a good idea how they promote their tours
When they offer 10%off it’s hard to resist
Thanks for bringing us along. You guys got fun trips planned.
Should be fun! We miss your videos!
@RetiredLovingIt thank you guys. Been to busy to film. We are gonna start back soon. Hopefully, before years end.
Hello my great friends after long time
Haven’t seen you in a while. Hope it’s all going well and that you have a wonderful Christmas
Have you ever taken a bus trip? What is your experience with group travel?
Yes we’ve been on a few (4) I think. We didn’t go as a couple but with friends. We also went on two with my 18 year old grandson from Australia. Fabulous guide(s) and drivers. Was lovely not having to drive in cities like Paris and Berlin. Good experience - had good travel companies.
We have been on 3 total. Two day trips and one longer trip. We had great experiences on all. The only downside is that you’re on their schedule.
@@RetiredLovingIt Ours were 3 day trips and plenty of private time combined with tour walks. We are thinking of going on another one maybe early 2025.
Yes and honestly we have been lucky to be with traveling with a great group of people!
@@joannsalas we have been fortunate each time as well!
So many great travel ideas.
Lots of great trips!
I hope your family is feeling better now.
@@ColoradoMartini Thanks! Everyone is on the mend!
Looks like you guys had a great a holiday. We spent it in North Carolina this year.
We had a great day minus the ER visit 😊 lots of good food
Been their done that, Did all of those things. I am 78.
You’re still young! Isn’t life grand 😊 enjoy the rest of your week!
I think that I am old when I can't get a date.
That’s one way to look at it 😃 have a great rest of your week! Thanks for watching 😊
My whole family of 4 shared the bathwater too - and it was once a week. It wasn't even a deep bath. 3 inches maybe? Post war over here, I guess, My parents grew up while rationing was in place and I feel if affects their behaviour to this day, and partially rubbed off on me.
It’s amazing how we grew up affects us the rest of our lives. We both are extremely frugal because we didn’t have a lot growing up so we find ourselves rationing when we don’t really need to.
"Age is just a number"...well let me just say this: Any number can bring joy or fear. I'm now 71 and thankful I made it this far. I'm also hoping I've got another 20+ to go as I have lots I still have to do or finish doing 🤣! I just adjust my activities depending how old I am feeling on that particular day.We say " he is 3 years old" so the word itself says nothing really. It's the number we need to keep an eye on. They just slip away while you aren't looking. Another interesting topic. I hope your week is going well? 👌🇳🇱🙋♀🥝
You’re so right! Time is a thief! Slips away so quickly! I’ll add that topic. Thanks 😊 enjoy the rest of your week!
Here is something to maybe talk about. How have your lives changed as technology has progressed. I heard the other day that only 6% of Washington, D.C. area employees actually go into ‘the office’ to work. So, 93% percent work remotely, or ‘from home.’ Do you think employers use ‘working from home’ for Seniors as the last step before they eliminate us? Out of sight out of mind. I think as we age, employers are taking advantage of the system to fire those in their 50s and 60s. What do you think?
Great subject! We’ll add it to our list! Thanks 😊
