Thanks a lot! I dunno about the exact kit Halpern used on the record - but it should be a Pearl Kit, since he is endorsed by them. They recorded the drums at the real world studios which is crazy.. such a great room!

Thanks! The verses are in 4/4 (the whole track is) - but the rhythm overlaps the quarter notes, which makes it harder to feel the 4/4. some of my students also had this problem when learning this track. Try to actually count and clap the quarter notes while listening to the verses before sitting down on the kit. That already should help a lot. Cheers! 🤘🏻

Thanks! I‘m still working on that left foot though. Currently I’m practicing the swivel-motion with my left foot around 30 minutes every day - going from 160 to 190 bpm at the moment.
