Wooow, tssk tssk on your grading of it. I never cared about the graphics when it came out and still don't to this day, same goes for battlefront 2. You can see what your guests think of your park, you can place benches that your guests will sit on, you can use cleaners, you can see what the weather is gonna be like for the week in the game so you can be more prepared for storms. the summaries imo are better than JW1-2 you can also easily find out what period your dinosaur is from. Sorry that you have a problem with waiting it's also something you have to do for JW1-2 for pretty much the exact same things you stated. If you don't enjoy watching your dinosaurs while you wait or even going around checking on your guests well.. that sounds like this game may not be for you, or even JW 1 or 2 for that matter. If I'm not watching my dinosaurs I'm improving my park, adding paths putting buildings in better spots, expanding enclosures.

I miss this game 😭 I'd rather play this than Jurassic World 1 or 2. Favorite game on the PS2 that and Battlefront 2.

Unfortunately, the quality was so bad, that I had to delete it entirely. I may or may not record new footage and release it as a short instead.

This feature is *fascinating* and it's sad it doesn't show up in later games at all (so far). I can understand why it would be limited to just the one character though.

Hey Guys, minor correction: You can also have the Inverse Battle Setting in your Secret Base is ORAS by interacting with the Proclamation item after purchasing and placing it in your base. I actually had it written in my script, but I skipped over it during recording. Sorry Folks.

Cool video! Although with a subject like this, I'm always wary about basing monsters too much on mythological monsters that already existed because it seems like making a "copy of a copy" rather than creating something wholly original in the first place. I think a better route is to create a monster that isn't directly based on a singular monster, but rather an abstract idea.

Hey folks, minor error: I described Aerilate as an ability that boosts moves of a certain type. That is incorrect. Instead, it simply changes normal-type moves into that type. Whoops. I’m pretty sure I was thinking of a different ability, and mistook it for this one. Sorry folks.

A little bit difficult to understand what you were saying at times with the music and your voice being at the same volume at times plus you seemed a bit rushed in parts which didn't help much.

Mostly a lazy Reboot that they got blessed with the time to polish, but didn't pay enough for art assets and went way to western. When you compare this game visually to how things looked in Dual Strike it's night and day. That game still looks better, and if they were going to so radically shift the style it shouldn't have been so lazy. Game play is great, but I can't help but feel a monkey could have smashed 1+2 together and given it progression and polish with the right time. It's really time for the community to handle making their own AW game cause Nintendo won't do it with a shred of a budget.

Isn't Advance Wars 1 a sequel to Famicom Wars and Gameboy Wars; a series that has appeared on Famicom, Super Famicom, and Gameboy in Japan prior to GameBoy Advance? A side note; the latter two entries are on the DS (you did mention Dual Strike, the third AW title), and thus are unlikely to be remastered for single-screen platforms… There's also the Battallion Wars spin-off on GameCube and Wii that were released between AW2:BHR and AW:DS.

I'm pretty sure that Sturm's Japanese name is supposed to be "Herr Böse", German for Sir or Mister Evil. But this is hard to write in Japanese. Same goes for Von Bolt. His Name is supposed to be "Herr Volt", meaning Sir or Mister Volt.

Nice video, this is one of the few cases where changes between regions aren't censorship, at least most of them, and are just changes to keep a more consistent theme, I agree, I don't understand why Sonja doesn't have glasses... In any case, I recommend checking your audio balance before uploading your videos, the background music made it very hard to distinguish your voice from the music!

Honestly, I think the changes for Nell and Drake were better for the international version even though I'm often a purist and complain when localizers think something is too Japanese and need to replace it

I'm a bit surprised that you said there weren't many changes to Days of Ruin. I think the only character in it who didn't have a different name between the US and UK version was Cyrus. A couple of the superweapons had their names changed as well (the Great Owl flying fortress, for instance, was named the Pulsatrix in the UK version) and the entire game was renamed to "Dark Conflict" in the UK.

There really isn't such a thing as a "European" version. There's a UK version, a Spanish version, a French version, a Portugiese version and a German version. Each with their own translations and name changes. For example in the German version Sami is called "Tami".

I do have to agree overall; it's a rare case where character design changes *work* more then the original. Even Sonja's change from red to green when you consider that her main gimmick is being better in Fog of War. You know; where stealth matters.

"shogun" is Japanese for "general" Also Days of Ruin is localised as "Dark Conflict" in the UK/Europe. It also has different character names than the US and Japanese versions.
