came here to learn ways to help an elderly person who wears dentures now, but at night removing the dentures has been a rather painful event, because that denture paste adhesive was to strong to remove dentures.

This is the exact thing I did after extractions and immediate dentures and I've not had any pain taking my dentures out or putting them back in at all. I keep them in except for cleaning after eating. That's not to say I haven't had pain though. It's more of a very uncomfortable feeling that changes daily.

thanks so much for this, I feel like crying, I have such bad anxiety about the dentist, related to a traumatic silver caps appointment as a kid they had to put me to sleep for, parents majorly neglected my dental health too never making appointments too. Rough uncaring dentists at some extraction appointments in my early 20s too. At nearly 34, I need dentures too. Have an appointment to get two up top pulled in 2 days, I'm having to do a few at a time due to cost. Thanks to youtube, I discovered the well regarded comfort grip stuff I have saved in a wishlist for the day I do get dentures. I'm so tired of pain, having to be super careful eating stuff, and infections, I'm going to hold myself to a promise I made that by this time next year, hopefully sooner, I'll have all the top pulled out and full top dentures at least. I'll always remember this vid and your helpful tip of overlapping the top teeth over the bottom. I've heard the bottoms are hard to keep in, it's just something I'll have to live with in the future, I certainly don't have the money for $10,000 dollar per tooth implants

I would like to add that I have used this product for a long time. Yesterday, it was a little difficult to pour out. I looked inside. One side of the inside had a big clump of black all over it that looked like mold. It was enough to make me want to throw up. I threw the (almost) full bottle away and retrieved another. Right after I opened the new one, I looked inside and saw small clumps of black. I had to throw it away too. Upsets me to have to throw away because it isn't cheap. Just be careful. Check the inside of your stain away.

I usually clean my mouth dentures etc in bathroom sink, I noticed a bad smell and had my husband check the crawlspace out and we discovered a disconnected pipe that was going straight into the crawlspace! 🤮🤢 rotorooter came and said it was clogged from grease etc which I NEVER EVER put grease down the drain. I'm literally going to pick mine up tomorrow and I tell you one thing the process at first was brutal. Had 2 different dentists. The first one was like getting teeth pulled in the early 1900's all old instruments all I heard was cracking and very painful. The second one pulled 8 teeth in like 10 minutes and I swear I did not feel a thing even after. Some discomfort but nothing a Tylenol couldn't take care of. Some dentist are worth it and others shouldn't even be practicing at all. I'm going on a year from the first tooth being pulled to now finally after 20 or 30 appointments to finally being able to smile again. I'm 37 so it's weird to people to see someone my age with no teeth

here to explain a little bit to u. the wax try in is just to see the teeth. as in, are they strait, midline good high enough/lower enough. bite good?. thats it. the actual wax/plastic part(all the pink) has nothing to do with the try in. that is only there to actually hold the teeth in place so we can see where the teeth are going to be. the wax try in then gets sent to the lab and the lab holds teeth in place with stone so they dont move, then MELTS all the wax off, and put ur original model in place and presses acrylic into this thing and the acrylic fills in allll the spots that the first impression captured. one flange being higher on one side than the other means nothing and its like that from what the final impression captured. the pink arcylics going to look different on everybody and isnt too symmetrical. there are similarities form side to side, sure, but not mirror images. i would suggest not pushing up on the paltate urself, ur just gettin in the way. despite what anybody tells u. if u push too hard, the tissues in ur mouth stretch and then spring back after removal. once the dentures finished, it wants to set on...stretched out tissue and since ur tissue isnt normally like that, its not gonna wanna sit right. you have to rely on whoever is doing ur dentures to do a good job in each step. tough part is, not everyone is good at making dentures.
