What's in a Name: Lola-Aston Martin B09/60 DBR1-2 - Fifteen Minute Guide
Whatever you want to call it, Aston was one of many great names that tried to take on the might of the Diesels in the late 2000s and early 2010s and couldn't make it work. But it did give us one of the most distinctive (and I think prettiest) closed-cockpit LMP1s of the era, with a name as cumbersome as the bodywork was lovely - the B09/60 or DBR1-2.

@@lenslr The reason why the 924 Turbo was dropped in 1984 was much simpler. VAG simply discontinued the EA831 engine the 924 was based on. The 831 was a slightly odd engine, it was an OHC conversion of the earlier Audi Pushrod engines used since the mid-60s, and that engine even predated the VAG acquisition of Audi, being designed when Mercedes briefly owned Auto Union. That is also the reason why for 1986 the 924 became the 924S with a slightly detuned 2.5L 944 engine and suspension upgrades

Interesting, that was made by AI. Yeah quite clumsy, but AI learns, with comments and other stimuli.. Scary part is that it will learn and get better......Just wait till your TV will talk back to you. Like your teenage children.

@@commotoed this was Porsche's peak styling era, I think. The 908 will be later than one thinks! For some weird reason, Porsche's understanding of numbers was non-linear and we go 906-910-907-908. But we will get there! Haha
