cheng man ching PUSH HANDS FAJING superb quality in colour

Cheng Man Ching teaching some of the principles of using Fajing within the push hands, by blocking and trapping the students' movements. Sorry there is no sound of the teaching with the video. However my understanding is that Cheng Man Ching is causing the student to have a strong body contraction with no place to move to yield within the student's body, therefore the student becomes trapped an...

Thanks for uploading. He shows clearly the counterbalancing principle. Great to see..!
Great video 🎉
Thank you again!
Golden ❤
I wish I understood what he’s saying
Good to see you again!
Great, thanks!!!
You're welcome!
This is the master that my Sifu Master Herbert Pong of Mililani, Hawaii revered and taught his 37 form. I never tire of watching Grand Master Cheng and learning from him, which I at least attempt to every time I watch him. And I never tire of watching him - so graceful, so fluid. He is truly beautiful to watch. My only regret is that I was not fortunate enough to take Taiji from him when he was he in the states - what a wonderful treat that must have been. And although he was not an American he should still be considered a national treasure for what he brought to the United States. What a fantastic remastered video. Mahalo nui loa and aloha…
Master of all masters
Thank you for complimenting Master Cheng. I feel his influence is actually greater than we are aware of.
If I can do that in my 80's , mission accomplished. ❤
His moves look remarkable, like a statue that has come to life. Beautiful. Grand Master Chen was absolutely remarkable ❤❤

An honour to witness 🙏🏻

Can someone please explain to me how do you fight with this stuff,i mean really if its just for exercise i can understand that but to defuse a violent encounter in a self defense situation you’re going to need a lot more than pushing the attacker hand to survive.
You don't fight with "this stuff". It is a training method ment to help develop the feeling of balance and consciousness of another's person openings with a possibility of adding to it your proper action. It teaches you sensibility, but it is not a fight, nor a proper sparring - just one of the many training methods preparing you for the sparring sessions, without which obviously you will not learn to fight.
It is cultivating specific skills and attributes related to energy transfer and transformation that you can use to support any martial technique. Techniques are only as good as the refined qualities underneath the movements.
Its like learning your times tables to be able to do maths, its the underlying core. Ive been doing TaiJi for 5 years purely for exercise and relaxation but on two occasions, one with a dog and one with a person, i had to react to and unexpected 4tt4ck and I had fended it off before my conscious mind had even registered it Its amazing how doing something 10,000 times very slowly imprints it into the part of the body and mind
By finding a teacher who know and can teach the whole system. Its only after learning the form and pushing hands correctly, you’re ready to learn fighting. Which is pretty rare these days
Perfect…….As good as Master Huang Students….Bless you
Many thanks, as with taiji it has more suble changes included over time. Blessings. I was one of PK main students, with Joe and the posse. I miss them all.
I have been practicing Grandmaster Ch`eng Man-Ch`ing`s 37 posture Short Form for 45 years now and I am still intent on discovering Song ... among other things ...

Wow this is pure gold. Thank you for sharing!!
it would also be nice to see this in fighting speed or kata speed.
Thanks so much for sharing!
Where did this film come from? Also, from the Cheng family here 3rd generation.
Jack of all , master of none😢
though oftentimes better than master of one
@ in general, I tend to agree but as a teacher, I prefer a master of the art🙏🏻
Very good
good form nice 1
Thank you SiFu
Very powerful
WOW man very masterful your skill level is truly remarkable
Gracias por compartir!!
IMO, analysing Cheng's Tai Chi is pointless. What I see is, he doesn't care about conventions, rules, precision of movements and postures. He can do so, because his Tai Chi is way beyond these restrictions. His style is 100% personal. His postures are sloppy, because for him, it doesn't matter. They appear sloppy, not because he couldn't do them any better, but because he's internalised them to the highest degree. Trying to mimic his style would be just as pointless. We all have to try to arrive at the point where he is (was), by our own means.
Nice to watch, thanks for sharing!
The small bald headed fellow at the beginning of the video is Louis Kleinsmith. He was my Judo instructor at the Flushing NY YMCA Judo club. He taught us tai-chi, as well. So many years ago.
Wow
He was too old to do the demonstration. His movement was not up to the standard and he was like a walking dead. He gave me such a negative impression that people practicing Taiji are just wasting their time although this is not neccessary the case.
unbelievable level of kungfu
His form is ugly, but his power is unparalleled! It's proof that having a nice form doesn't mean anything. It's about what's going inside! Legendary grandmaster Huang shows it to us. So many things we can learn, but nothing we can truly see.
Enfin quelqu'un qui est capable de dire ce qu' il observe . Effectivement sa forme est moche , puissante mais apparemment pas respirante .
A fake! An outrege to Professor?s legacy!
