My 2011 STX SCab 2wd 5.0 loves Shell 93 octane. It has 189,527 on the odo. I perform the oil change/tire rotation every 7k miles with Motorcraft 5W20 syn-blend and FL500S filter. I am on my fourth set of tires and third set of front brakes. Fluid exchange is done every 50 k, plugs and belts replaced at 105k. I replaced coolant hoses at 150k and replaced the coolant reservoir hose at 175k. I average 19.2 mpg weekly in my 60 mile daily commute to work. Also, the headlamp assemblies need to be replaced.
love to see it, my 2014 5.0 is at 167k and I keep taking care of her! Did he ever do a drain and fill on transmission?
Just bought a 2013 with 82,000 miles on it in super sweet condition for 13k. It’s the FX4 everything edition and it is one sweet ride.
I know Norman Regional when I see it lmao
Best generation F150
It sucks yk? I'm currently 16 and my parents said I could get any vehicle that is $4,500 or less and I really want a pickup truck as my first vehicle. Here's the thing, I can't find any pickup trucks that is less than 200,000 miles and that is 4500 or under. Like I found a 2012 Ford F150 XLT with 233,00 miles on it and it's really heckin' nice. No rust, very clean inside and out. And it's almost worth it. But another problem is that I love driving and I drive a lot so, idk if a vehicle with 200,000+ miles is a good idea or not. Almost impossible to find a good vehicle with low mileage and low cost.
miles don't mean shit if it runs good buy, it and drive it your lucky my first car was pos i paid $200 had a wood bumper lol
I just bought one of these today but it’s a Texas edition it has 128000 on the odometer and it’s really looking like I made a good choice these comments have really helped 🤝🏾
Nice pontoon! I just bought a 1993, haven’t put it in the water yet. Carpet was bad decided to replace it and the plywood. Maybe another 2 weeks it’ll be ready . Bigger job than I thought haha
2011 with 376,600 miles running strong
3.5 or 5.0?
@@Cam708683.5
Correction 3.7L 6cyl
Have a 2010 4.6l Ford f150 Crew cab, has 345000 on stock motor and transmission and still going strong
Bought a 2014 xlt Texas Ed. With a 3.5 ( 82000) , now has (152000) no problems, good reliable truck. Goes back and forth from Oklahoma and Arizona quite a bit..
As I understand, its the last year with a steel chassis, after that year thay have been making them all aluminum to cut down on weight. I have the 2014 f150 lariat 3.5 ecoboost I bought it brand new have had it now for over 9 years with all manufacturers recommendated services 117000 miles no major issues ever, I used it in the construction field only to say that it was not babied in any way I could trade it in when ever I want But I love it, plus I'v recently retired and I figured if its running great then lets just see if it out lasts me Im only 64 so !!!!!!!!!! Thanks for your vid
2014 stx crew cab 5.0 373 gears 156k miles only issues i had were horn stopped working it was the electrical coil in the steering wheel. Also the fuse for the fuel pump melted. Coolant leaking from resivor. its a slow leak so i just top it off every month.I replaced all the stereo wheels suspension etc. oem exhaust is leaking so im replacing soon. want this to last a few more years
Excellent video! Good narration. Excellent coverage of this pickup. I've had an identical pickup (2014 Ford FX4, Super Crew cab, 5.0 Coyote, etc.) since 2019. At that time, I bought it with 40,000 miles. Now I'm up to 87,000 and had no major problems. The lock/unlock button on the driver side arm rest stopped working a couple of weeks ago. A mechanic told me that is a common malady. Most often, the switch box under the decorative cover is worn. A new switch box is not expensive, but he urged to check the fuse first. Check fuse No. 20, of 20 amps. This year and model brings high praise on the internet. Of the 12th generation F150s, it seems that model year 2014 is highly sought for its craftsmanship, quality and durability. Very much enjoyed your video. Thanks!
I got a 2013 with 205k miles 5.0 running strong so far!
Nah buddy not possible most fords I work on at my shop break down around 170k especially the 2013s
@@Brentburns1not true my 2014 fx4 just rolled 212k and still runs and starts like a clock
@@Brentburns1Mine has 240k miles and runs like new dude
Nice Review Thank You?
Good video thanks
Bought a 2010 lariat with the MIGHTY 5.4 😂 put 40k miles on it in under less than a year, never skipped a beat. Love how it rides and the creature comforts. Plus this generations look so good with just a level and some meaty tires 🔥
I bought a 2013 lariat wit the 3.5 eco boost with a 162k back May 2023 and after a tune up and coolant hose replacement this my favorite truck I've owned. Had a 98 Silverado and 2013 Ram hemi and neither hold a candle to the F150.
Any lead frame work on transmission?
Nope transmission just been serviced regularly.
@@jakeflickshow often did your dad service the transmission? If you don’t mind me asking. Thanks
Dude within the first 30 seconds and/or in the description you need to say/list: make/model trim miles engine
Doesn’t matter whether you got the Ecoboost V6 or the 5.0 coyote if you take the time to take care of your truck and do all maintenance in time you can achieve as much miles and it’ll last
The engine bay could use a steam clean.just to keep everything in good working order. Obviously cover important electrical stuff
I have a 2015 with the 3.5. Just hit 300,000 miles today. Have never done anything major to it.
more about the z4 please. thanks for the videos
He said high mileage at 100k 😂😂😂😂 that nothing
In the video this truck has 266k miles. It’s also listed in the description. 100k isn’t high miles and I also didn’t say this truck had 100k miles.
2014 was a good year for the F150. Had one and loved it.
I have a 2010 F150 5.4 295,000 miles Still running strong 💪
Hey man, I just bought a 2009 f150 5.4 with 170k. Anything I should know or be worried about in your experience?
@@jjones8237 I now have 303,000 on it I change the oil every 5000 miles and replace wear items ( brakes tires etc ) And don’t push it hard keep it under 80
I have a two thousand eleven and I love it and has the 5.0. I have 225000 it's been the best thing I've ever owned bro. Upon your oil changes have the transmission flushed, it's very important. Check the translines the paint. The plastic clips can break in the fluid will flow out of your transmission. So have the lines changed. But what a terrific truck Ford knocked it out of the park that time.
Thanks for the advice!
Great review man! You hit basically all the important points on the Z4. Ive got an E86 Coupe in manual and love it to bits. Good to hear that tires make a big difference, cause mine really suck. I need to replace them. I find it is practical enough to daily it as well. Just the right mix of tech and old school sensibilities.
what is the CEL for? emission?
He had a bad Catalytic Converter so it was replaced with a cheap aftermarket one.
I have same year platinum. Only 89k on mine so far. Any trans issues, hubs or electronic issues? Thanks
It did have some rough shifting around 200k, but he got the transmission fluid changed at the dealer and did spark plugs himself. It seemed to have fixed the rough shifting. The rear heated seats don’t work anymore. The built in GPS stopped working. Other than that, it’s been good. Just follow the maintenance schedule and you should be good.
My 2012 f150 sw 5.0 burns 1 quart every 5000 also great truck few problems
Oklahoma truck 😊
I have a 2015 F150 with the coyote 166k miles. Only issue I’ve had is with the backup camera.
I have a 2011 Ford F150 with a 5.0L Coyote V8 in it with 159,000 miles on it and still going strong and its a beast and it sounds like a beast with the Borla ATAK exhaust on it as well.
My f1titty 3.5 ecoboost 2013..has 400 thousand miles. Still on the road till this day...platinum...
What’s your fuel economy combined please? Thanks
@@muveefan 18 to 23...mpg.
Mine is 13 mph at 13,000 miles clicks 😮
Hey how did you maintain it how long you do oil change ?
@ramirohernandez5940 change oil every 4 thousand miles is a must. Also add 1 quart of pure synthetic Lucas every oil change...still on the road to this day and has original Cham phasers....
im currently looking at a 2015 XLT with about 135k on it, would i be worth it to purchase? or should i find something with less miles ?
As long as it has been maintained well and is in good mechanical condition, then I wouldn't worry about mileage.
I have been getting everything from Autozone. Thanks for the great knowledge on your dad 2014 F-150.
What are the best brake pads & rotors for a 2012 F-150 with 144,000 miles?
Honestly, no idea. My dad just bought some cheap off brand ones online. They seem to work just fine.
Napa
My truck, that's a 2011 Ford f-150, has over 20 thousand miles and is running well with some oil usage as well.
I ve had a 2014 since 14 to has 125k on it i do 5k oil changes full synthetic runs great i have the ecoboost v6
I have a 2014 F-150 Ecoboost 4 door 6 cyl 270056 still runs great.
Awesome!
How did maintain it ? What oil do you use if it’s not a problem answering
My question is who did you have change the transmission fluid
I have the same truck it’s got 240,000 miles on it runs like a brand new truck love it. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I have a 2014 with 221k and still drives like new. 5.0 V8
have u had any problems with it @@TarHeels4Ever
Me too, a 2013 with 240k miles with the Coyote engine, in better shape than most cars with half its mileage, a true gem own by an interstate commuter. Drives like new
my 2014 FX4 Luxury just rolled over 100,000 miles, love it to bits
Can you just tell us the mileage on the truck please, so we know who are watching your videos
Mileage is 266,595 as of this video, I updated it a little while ago in the description. Current mileage is around 272,000 now.
I’ll take it! 😊
Love my 2014 f150, got the 6.5 foot bed, only issue i had was the heads going bad, which was super expensive
Good to know. I hope it has been good otherwise.
With the 5.0? How many miles?
This guy is boring !!
Appreciate the video!
Thank You!
