Jon Seal Wood
เข้าร่วมเมื่อ 2 ก.ค. 2019
Welcome to my channel. I love working with wood. There are projects here from woodturning to chair making. Recently I have been building a clinker wooden boat the traditional way. This series of films will follow the project from oak trunk to finished boat and sailing. I hope you enjoy watching and many thanks for taking the time to visit.

Bloody hell - what a beauty she is!!
Saw you sailing in Monday..was in the blue Shrimper (1049) heading down past Starcross..Spirit looked fantastic...well done
Great episode, the scandi noir section was hilarious 😆
Conngratulations and ahoy ahoy what an achievement ans such a wonderful boat. Forever all off the two of you will be in every plank or nail. A true document of life in the shape of a boat. Keep on dreaming big.
Bravo! What an inspiration!
Good to hear that the plans have been digitised. Do you have any idea if they are accessible? And, where did you source your own plans?
Mr. that was a fine looking build. From seed to chair is something to be proud of.
Thank You, Sir🙏🏾
This popped up after I finished watching your boat build. Apart from the obvious craftsmanship and nice filming, I loved the bird song. Thank you
Wonderfully inspiring collection of videos. I only came accross your project this week as I myself have been toying with the idea of building a wooden boat. My great grandfather was a boat builder in Ireland. Build row boats somewhat like The Shannon One Design which is a Morgan Giles clinker design. I live in Finland now, I work as a carpenter...I think all the stars are lining up
Congratulations!!
Another wonderful episode. Thoroughly enjoy watching from Gig Harbor Washington state US. Cheers!
Well I guess I should be able to build a boat in about 2months because in my mind I think I could build one 1️⃣ month. I greatly overestimate my ability. 😂 realistically it’s probably going to take me years
I savor every installment. I never watch more than one at a time. Each one leaves me content. This is a series the quality of which is rarely encountered these days. I fear the day I have watched them all. When that day comes, I suppose I shall have to start at the beginning and watch them all over again.
Best thoughts and well wishes for Conner.
I watched your first 2 episodes, and I’m hooked. Enjoy everything about your channel, the story telling, the fact that I get so tickled watching y’all two went on about the GoPro turning on and off 😂 But also the boat building, you guys work fast. However I’m upset that I’m so far behind. Anyway, you have another sub. Thank you for sharing. Center Texas
Well done indeed! And thank you for sharing. Very much looking forward to seeing her under sail!
Excellent work chaps. You birthed a buetyfull baby boat. And what amazing memories this gourgous little craft will create. Thanks for bringing us along. Inspiring stuff ❤
Wonderful job, the boat is a thing of beauty. I can't wait to see her sail. Cheers
I am very happy to have found your youtube site! I have been hooked on the Tally Ho journey with Leo Sampson, now to enjoy your journey with the Morgan Giles dinghy. I have got plans for François Vivier's Ilur “classic” and will start building soon... Just need to convince my wife the boat is more important than the house :)
What a wonderful journey through an inspirational project of vision, skill and teamwork. Beautifully filmed and paced in such a way that even those of us not au fait with carpentry or boat building have enjoyed every minute. Well done to the two blokes !
Great project and great result. Well done guys. Looking forward to seeing Spirit sailing.

Huzzah!!
Congratulations!!! It has been a wonderful experience to follow you two building this beauty.
What can I add to all the comments below? The joy and pleasure you two blokes must feel must be indescribable to see Spirit on the water. You have done a wonderful job and given us followers much pleasure following the trials and tribulations of building. Thank you so much for all and I look forward to seeing her under sail.
Just caught up with Leo's epic rebuilding, 190+ episodes in 3-weeks. Now it's your turn to fill my evenings whilst travelling the Trent & Mersey in my steel NB. I'm thoroughly looking forward to this journey! Thank you.
Bravo gentlemen, bravo! If you hadn't released this video in the hours before the British Grand Prix, I would have seen it sooner. What a week... New Government, Cavendish gets the iconic 35th stage win of the Tour de France, Lewis Hamilton wins the British Grand Prix for a record 9th time (and his first win in 2 1/2 years, and two blokes release a TH-cam video of their new boat floating. Magical!!
The smile on your faces says it all. Well done to both of you. A great project appreciated by me and many others
Well done chaps!
I know nothing of boat building but I still found this absolutely fascinating and am so impressed by your skills. Jon. A really lovely film.
Well done Two blokes. Thank you for taking us along. Hoping for another project from you both. God bless you and keep you.
