These people have so much potential to be successful, this young man could get some work. If they could get past victim mentality and addiction. I hate Seattle for legalizating illicit drugs and becoming a "sanctuary city" where you can do anything and get away with it! This is one reason why homelessness has gone rampant in Seattle and surrounding cities. There is a difference between helping and enabling and Seattle, Tacoma, Olympia and so on enable!

No reason to bring a child into this. They need to use common sense. Section, Medicaid, food stamps? There are resources. I have used them. Where is their family?

I love that you guys are getting these stories out, but I cant watch the rest of it because the comments about her appearance are vile. Shes homeless, you dont know if shes even over 18, and girls get trafficked and assaulted all the time. Thats not what this is for and it makes me sick, as someone who has known girls who have been trafficked. Its really fucking disgusting.

No due date! Soo she hasn't even been to the doctor yet? C'mon man, get it together. Yes, it's very hard to get out of the cycle, but you have to get off your butt and put in some WORK, not wait for things to fall out of the sky.😔

"You are one paycheck away from us." Holy sh*t what an ending... and SO unbelievably true. I have a college degree, travelled the world, speak 5 languages, but then had a head injury and lost my identity. I spent a year living in a motel in Flint MI working at a truck stop, living off convenience store food cuz when you don't have a car you can't get to a grocery store without risking being sexually assaulted cuz you had to ride with strangers... It took me 5-7 years to pull my sh*t together but i teach piano lessons in Olympia now and life is improving. Hang in there Sancha ❤

When you're lonely, you only have your own thoughts and memories to consume, and it's easy to sort of "ouroboros" on your own trauma til you choke or are consumed. Even people who prefer to be alone will self-destruct if they don't have a second voice/perspective to challenge their perceptions and ideas.

This is my daughter. I worry about her daily, but I know she's doing good. Not great but she's doing her thing. She's never liked to be tied down even as a child. She's always been a free spirit. As long as she's safe I'm happy. I love her so much.

They will take her baby if she goes to the hospital. They will drug test her and it will happen and seen it.

Go to any AA/ NA meeting and you will see hundreds of men and women who are just like their son ... In and out of treatment centers; seldom cured ...

Wow. That was a truly honest, inspiring, loving interview of Alex’s parents. I am so glad I came across this as my family is going through something very similar. It is heart wrenching and soul sucking to live with this happening to your loved one. I admire everything they do to help someway. There are no easy answers. I pray for Alex and your family. Poor dog, was living on the street being exposed to fentanyl smoke and every thing else nasty. More of the dogs these drug zombies have end up sick, dead or in need of rehoming. I am surpised that Taco's dog looks so healthy, I pray that she stays that way. At least Taco was heroic at one point in his life when he got rid of an awful person (child molester).

I lived in wa my whole life Seattle. It’s definitely not the same anymore. The city has gone a different way in in my late 30s now just sad what to see how the state has turned out. Hopefully these people can get the help they need.

The country with no history and the most consuming and the least philosophical people that don’t fear god.

This is not Seattle but there’s a homeless man that hangs out on 108th and SE Petrovisky in Renton. Please go reach out. I buy him food and stuff all the time but have never had the chance to talk to him. He’s very polite and almost childlike. It would be cool to hear his story.

I’m from Seattle we have one the best working city in America it don’t matter if you got a record you can get a job here there no reason for you to be homeless and jobless here unless you choose to be
