I wish more games focused on physics and interactive world environment rather than photo realistic graphics. We now have unreal 5 engine games with photo realistic visuals yet world feels so hollow and static most objects in world just exist as eye candy and have no physics. Half Life 2 , GTA 4 , Red Dead Redemption, Those games not only pushed boundaries in graphical fidelity but also had awesome physics and stood the test of time.

loved the section about kamurocho, currently at yakuza 5 and with each game it has always been one of my favorite aspects to see the small changes in the map, going from yakuza 0 (my first game in the series) to kiwami right down made me feel nostalgic to see how much the city changed over the years, it perfectly emulates that feeling of visiting your hometown for the first time in a long time and while it's still the same city you can't help but feel a little bit emotional to see how it's moved on in your absence

Though it is fictional, most of this lore IS based on true real-world myths from Mesopotamia. The "Isu" were in fact the "Annunaki" race. The Annunaki inspired the Templar Cross symbol. The Templars want to be these gods. The Eye of Providence is possibly the planet Niburu where these gods originated, also known as "The Destroyer". I believe that (most) humans have natural divine powers from birth which are shut down by The Templars who seek to enslave and work the people with the use of Mind Control (Government). Additionally, some people are of the opinion that starseeds (souls) are sent to be born in the human womb, which relates to The Immaculate Conception, only this phenomenon occurs with everyone, not only Jesus. Therefore, all humans have the "God-given right to rule" (Dieu et mon droit). God doesn't exist because of its link to the Templars. All religion is based on the Annunaki slave system. The Church is just a system the Templars have used to control society while they have the ultimate say over us.

One thing I don't get about Bethesda games (and the community at large for that matter) is the Enclave fetishization. They've canonically tried to purge the wasteland with FEV twice, how the hell are you going to engooden that. Honestly, if they leaned into the RPG aspects of the series more and demoted Emil to writing terminal entries, we could actually have a Fallout 5 plot that makes sense. Or just give it to Obsidian again

The isu seem like gods because they had technology that will never be reachieved. They seem magical because they were far beyond our intellectual understanding. In all honesty, they are gods. But also not.

Rockstar needs to make an immersive sim like Deus Ex. And they need to flesh out their open world and game mechanics. Too much of their games involve filler mini game content that nobody cares about when most of us would get endless entertainment from some sort of dynamic gang presence and gang wars system where gangs are constantly attempting to patrol and sometimes take over or defend turf. They do us a disservice to make combat such an important part of their games then turn around and punish us for engaging in it outside of missions and give us no reason to use it outside of missions and picking fights with the police. the RDR bounty hunts were a slight compromise but it's not enough, we needed gang hideouts, that spawn gangs that attempt crimes like stagecoach robberies, bank robberies, kidnappings, etc. We needed native American scalpers raiding the towns and far more dynamic events that occur based on an invisible strategic war being waged by the AI enemy gang leaders, instead of just a bunch of scripted woman baits stranger into armed robbery or merchant fights off two bandits events or gang of bandits ride through town shooting their guns in the air that you can spot from a mile away as scripted after you've seen them once.

I think it's less so that "God doesn't exist" and more "religious dogma isn't right". I think a lot of Assassins indicate some level of faith, but not in the sense of the Catholic God or the Sunni God, etc. More like a spirituality. Obviously, there are some that are 100% atheistic, but that is their right, of course.

Also, I wish you got into the other ways in which ragdolls can be reactive in a different way than Euphoria. Modded RDR2 Euphoria is pretty good too. Also also, the game makes heavy use of wounded states for A.I. and animations combined with Euphoria physics, likely animated with NaturalMotion *and* Endorphin, which is a physics-based animation engine. That's a huge part of why it works so well.

I strongly disagree with the idea that they've "revitalized" the series by denying us access to any genuine sequels in the future. They murdered the series and currently make something else. Nothing of value would be lost if Bethesda just made Apocalypse Road like they planned back in the early 2000s. There was no reason for them to buy the Fallout IP just to make Apocalypse Road and slap some misinterpretations of iconic Fallout aesthetics on top (except making money off an established IP). As it is, instead of having Fallout and Apocalypse Road, we have Bethesda making Apocalypse Road with the legal right to prevent anyone from ever making a genuine Fallout sequel ever again. The only winners here are Bethesda. They always wanted to make a game where the player romps through a post-apocalyptic open world with shooting galleries. Instead of just making that game, they bought a post-post-apocalyptic turn based CRPG series that focused on roleplaying your way through the conflicts that would arise as humanity rebuilt civilization after the apocalypse, and made the game they wanted to make all along anyway. One of the results of this, along with other causes, is Bethesda's reputation as a studio going in the same direction as BioWare's. In the long run, even they would've been better off doing their own thing. As a Fallout fan, I don't care about the sales of Apocalypse Road. That's not a revitalization of the series I love. It's an imposter wearing its corpse. It doesn't matter how awesome Apocalypse Road may or may not be, we'd all be better off if it stopped pretending to not be Apocalypse Road and we could play Fallout again.
