Great video! Informative, good shots, clear communication, awesome!
After watching this, I put my hacksaw away and did it the right way, but only after I had already sawed halfway through the alternator mount
Looking good guys 🤙
Nice welding but all that heat compromises integrity of the frame Create weak spots
Wow 😢 I wanted to cry every time he started cutting 😢 great video 🎉🎉🎉
I hope you respond but was your noise this one th-cam.com/users/shortsLk7mEz_qfVY? if so did the noise ever come back after you replaced the belt and tensioner?
Great video! I just replaced mine today. I opened 3 door panels and probably broke some parts in there. Couldn’t figure out from the broken pieces. I believe there are couple of broken clips in there, too, and I don’t bother to open the panels again.
Off course there is too much bass...you should buy 3.5 inch midrange not full range off course. But when you are not experienced you doesn't know what to do.
Thank you so much 🙏
Where do the hoses go from the fass pump to the cp3 and back? Are they 1/2” & 3/8?
I decided to watch the whole video. Yours was the only one showing hooking up to the cp3. Thank you. Is there a fass hose to the return of the fuel bowl delete or do you use the factory hose?
This Tacoma is basically the exact same setup as my 4Runner so this helps me quite a bit. I’ve got a good game plan now. Thanks!
How wide were those wheels?
@@isaiahriley6297 if I recall, they’re 8.5”
@ thanks dude! Great video btw!
What’s next for the build
I say paint the frame
Looks good, I’ve been wanting and working on my own. What’s the plan with the stock crossmember under the bed/cab? I’m sure you know your driveline will hit. I’m at the same spot in the build lol
We are thinking of using a 2 piece driveshaft. Not 100% how it’ll go but once we figure it out, it’ll be on here! Hopefully I can put out the next few videos a lot sooner lol.
great job. lot of work
Why did he remove the whole panel lol 😅 i was scared for a sec
bring back the mr2 projects
Ótimo trabalho bem explicado
Way to quiet
I got lucky with my kit, fitment is pretty good and everything was there! I spent about an hour modifying it so I could fit my oem kenwood outer trim piece. Great video 👍🏻
Fender liners were made for a reason. So were lift kits
@@sslum lift kits are made to increase ground clearance. The suspension still cycles up
Great install! Correct me if I’m wrong, I’m stuck in the early 2000s with tech, but is the output from the head unit to the dsp the 9 wire cable? I’m wanting to put my old system in my truck, and I have rca’s, but I figured the stock head unit didn’t have rca outputs.
@@jordanhinderliter3784 thank you! And yes, I’m using the output of the factory head unit to the dsp with a 9 wire cable
I HAVE A ZJ 98 V8 5.2L 4X2, CAN THE 242 TRANSFER BE PLACED DIRECTLY TO THE TRANSMISSION CASE WITHOUT MODIFICATIONS TO THE CASE?
No the input shaft NEEDS to be swapped the 232 input shaft is shallower
Nice job.... thanks....
First 4G mod... V8 swap.
Amps will work there i have 2 amps and a battery under my back set in that spot
do you think id be good to run a 1200rms subwoofer 1500watt max on this setup i have the same truck and same battery
I just replaced all of mine on my 2014 thanks for video it’s easy to do took me 45 mins to do all 4 video very clear
So when you change engine oil, do you take the whole engine out of the car?😂
I think I would have tried a heat gun before cutting.
Heat will reduce the efficiency of the amplifier. You can use the cooling system and change your installation location. I am Hossein from Iran. ❤
What Spring did you use? Did you go lite or heavy?
Looking rad!
Nice video. Hopefully I follow it correctly
How to replace car gas cap th-cam.com/video/SeKOt6V_40M/w-d-xo.html
Thank you. It was pretty easy to replace, rear old molding was harder to pull out than the front but it didn’t take long. I also noticed you can just yank the door panel out towards you and they come right off.
Nice build? Do you still have those dimensions for the space? I’m embarking on this box build with a friend. Thanks!
you really don't need to do all this and leave a bunch of exposed metal, as well as the back of your headlights being wide open. I run a 285/75r16 at4w on a 16x8-25mm scs f5 on a stock 23 pro. Trim the edge of the front bumper, move the mount bolt back to the hole you cut off. Heat and mold the front wheel well liner back 3 inches and the fronts done. Rear has a bmc and pinch weld flattened kept the wheel well liner just molded it tight to the pinch weld. 3 degrees of caster gained another half a inch at the rear. I have custom made mudflaps cut the metal/bottom of the fender flare at an angle drilled a new hole further back to mount the bottom of the flare and my L bracket for the mudflaps. The exposed metal was painted then coated in cosmoline then the wheel liner plus the mudflap cover it. Mudflap is molded to match the bmc. No exposed metal anywhere and tonnes of clearance. All these just lift it people don't seem to understand a coilover lift doesn't help with clearance at full bump, a spacer lift does but they introduce a whole other pile of issues. The way you did it is the fast and dirty way, living in Canada I'm anal about exposed metal in winter. Not necessarily anything wrong with how you did it it's your truck but there a much cleaner ways.
I’m in Hawai’i and get salty air everyday or salty sand when I off road on the beach. I am like you and don’t want any exposed/unpainted/untreated metal.
Thanks for this video! I'm about to replace mine
I want to do this to my 95 zj, what benefits does this have? Does it drive different, or maybe better gas mileage?
This was very helpful. I also thought that removing the door panel made it easier to extract the old belt molding. Thanks!
This video fucking sucks, doesn’t show how it’s hooked up to the fass fuel system once
Nice… about to do the same to my sons miata… Tks
No need to remove the inner side panel unless you're into wasting time and effort lol 😆
How did you get your hands up there to screw the USB port on?
I like the drill hole marks in the bottom of the factory fuel bucket
10:12
Where do the connections go from the box? The wires that you showed us that was near the box and what do they connect to ? I’m trying to add ac to my miata, but my car never came with ac.
Can you tell me the time of the video so I can see what you’re talking about?
Those wires go to what looks to be an evaporator temperature sensor. It attaches to the fins of the evaporator
MY MIATA HAS BEEN SWUEAKING ALL FUCKIMG SUMMER AND I THOUGHT IT WAS MY FUCKING BREAKS SO I DID MY CALIPERS, pads, and rotors only to find out that the noise is my fucking driveshaft…. thank you so much
