Negotiate Price or Interest Rate on Your New Home Purchase?
Is there housing around those walkable areas? I heard "park and then you can walk" but that requires a vehicle.
Another Asheville in the making, IMHO.
Suggest you research climate change risks and impacts before moving anywhere, and especially anything south of the Mason Dixon line.
I missed viewing this video but now that I’ve seen it… We bought a house there before we moved to the area- based on just a video tour. We backed out after the inspection as the MLS claimed it had city water and city sewer (it was a brand new home on 4 acres) and we learned it had neither! We lost a little money but that’s okay as I really wanted to live in the city of Greenville. Turned out it was a good decision as I learned once we moved here and explored more of TR, the more rural and quiet lifestyle is not what I really wanted. Many areas in TR are pretty remote and not easily convenient to stores and takes time to drive to. But I do like a couple of things about TR- both restaurants worth the drive from our temporary rental in Simpsonville but close to Mauldin. They are: Farmhouse Tacos and Topsoil. Highly recommend and worth the 25 min it takes for us to drive there once a month! Thanks for the video Renaldo!
Fellow Michigander here. Moved to G'ville 22 years ago and never looked back
@AtticusKillough Smart Move!! And 22 years ago Greenville was much different than it is today, so what made you move?
@ friends told us house next to them was for sale. Plus folks lived in Swannanoa
@@AtticusKillough I see Greenville as a future Swannanoa in a few years as abrupt climate change and its impacts accelerate. I saw the damage after Helene. Good luck.
What's your current city's biggest downside? 🤔
Its location south of the Mason Dixon line. The heat will kill you first. (That's the title of a book that should be required reading.) And its topography is dangerous since the regions hydrology is changing. And expect taxes to increase since they're still cleaning up from Helene still.
How does this compare to your current city? 🌏
Don't be afraid to call/text or email me with questions about the area!
Is there any pools in the area ?
@Holyheart1 Yes! There are community pools at a majority of the neighborhoods and public pools at sports complexes and YMCA's. Do you swim competitively?
@no we just like to have a place to swim cool off and enjoy the sun we're just looking around for a area / town that offer a community pool I really don't want be somewhere where I have pay HOA fees for pool access we're really liking Simpsonville in fountain Inn area
We’re relocating to the Greenville area this year, your videos are a big help in where to look
I'm so glad they are helpful! Feel free to call/text or email me if I can help out in any other way!
Hope he’s telling the truth. I had a sales agent at the builder’s office also tell me the engineered floors would be standard in the home. It was a lie. Didn’t find out until I got to the design center. Every neighbor in the community also had lies to report from the sales agent. This was Goodall Homes.
Oh my goodness 😬 Sounds like they need to take the "Good" out of Goodall smh. I'm sorry that happened to you and your neighbors. A good Realtor would make sure that what the salesperson says is reflected in the contract. That way, legal action could be taken if they don't deliver on their word.
I melted my dashboard in San Antonio 😆😆ooops
I know you were HEATED! (pun intended 😅) But yeah, the Texas sun is something else!
You’re dope bro. May take a job in Hendersonville.
@Veezy78 I appreciate it man! 🙏🏿 if you do take that job, you might find yourself taking day-trips to Greenville. Its only an hour away
I love your videos. We are looking for places to relocate and seeing so many realtors talking about different places, your videos are the best - fresh, entertaining, informative... Thanks for making them.
@@FreeBellatrix That makes me happy to hear! Thank you so much! I appreciate you watching and giving your feedback! I'm curious to find out which cities make your top 5 list
I wish you would quite telling people to come to South Carolina. Putting all these people into South Carolina is making the state congested and over populated.Driving up crime and driving up property taxes.I been in South Carolina all my life and ready to leave now because it to many people here now.
@sheliajackson2417 I'm sorry to hear that you're unhappy here :/ South Carolina is in much better shape than many places people move here from. They were moving here long before I was a resident, and I don't think the growth is slowing down anytime soon. It comes with some pros and cons of course. I hope you live in a place where the pros outweigh the cons for you
I personally like that Kendrick model by DRB…but I’d opt for the 4th bedroom ensuite. That stone fireplace option they offer is very nice. I have to know though - where did they get that bedroom furniture in the primary bedroom? I love that!!!
It looked so much better in person too! The interior designers always find the best furniture!
@ I found the furniture. It’s Oakleigh from Pottery Barn…pretty pricey, but it looks very nice.
@theadventuresoftherestedtr3518 wow thats impressive! Great job finding it
Our friends will be building there with Mungo! My only sadness is that their home is on the opposite side of the city from where we are building! Great video once again Ronaldo! Thank you
@caroljoyable Thank you! It seems like yall have pretty good taste! I hope the build process goes well!
@@RenaldotheRealtor Thank you- they are very happy they chose Mungo!
I guess around $900,000 for the Mungo home.
Sure does look like 900k!
I pick the mungo home for that kitchen! Time to pack our bags. 😅
I'll call the movers tomorrow
Great overviews!
Thank you!
Wow, that's a lot cheaper than I expected! As long as the quality is good, I would say it's reasonably priced! Personally, I can't choose, I liked bits and pieces from all of them. It's a good thing I will never be able to afford a home like this lol.
@shanyas5288 Hey, never say never! You might have some great things coming your way this year!
I'll take the last one and hide from the wife and kids in the closet under the stairs.
@brettsorem131 Want me to hide this comment so they'll never know?? 😆
Which home did you like most?
Do you help with apartments? I’m thinking to relocate in May. Any advice?
I normally don't handle apartments but send me an email with a little more details and I'll see what I can do!
TR is a good place. Many people from the north are moving down here buying out these $400k + house. Some aren't even worth it, The newly "cookie cutter" houses in these naborhoods. Your average medium income family or even the people that been here for a long time are being pushed out. TR is starting to be for the wealthy. Slater Marietta is the poverty but it likely next major growing following Cleveland but that'll be for a little while. Housing developers are buying all the land possible around TR building and marking the prices up. TBH Id live here regardless I've lived here all my life turning 21. local parks, mountains, Greenville social at night. Its perfect. Nice out in the country is some areas.
I appreciate your perspective!
I’ll buy it
It's still available!
What is the housing market like in Cowpens, SC? My heart’s desire is to move there in 2025.
Cowpens is really starting to grow. It's still a great spot to get a lot of bang for your buck. You can find a lot of houses with large lots out there too. Hopefully you can make homeownership happen this year! Not many people know about Cowpens, so you must be from around here!
@ I currently live in Greer, but my heart’s desire is to own property in beautiful Cowpens. I am currently working on my DTI ratio in order to get to Cowpens!
@OneLimitlessOne You'll make it happen! Let me know if there's any way I can help you, and I'll do my best!
Renaldo I challenge you to a connect four game when I come out next month!
@brettsorem131 As long as you promise not to cry
Yankees don’t bring your liberal/ progressive thinking to Greenville. NYC, Chicago, etc these place are disasters!
😲
The house is very nice. I don’t know too much about retention ponds but the first thing that comes to mind is possible standing water, mosquitoes, and maybe an odor from stagnant water. All these factors would negatively impact spending time in the backyard.
You bring up some great points! Detention ponds are meant to hold storm water temporarily. So unlike retention ponds, detention ponds can dry out. That would cut down on the issues you mentioned. But it's all dependent on the weather
@@RenaldotheRealtorwill they be able to build a brick fence?
@Grace-love79 No, just wood, vinyl or metal fences are allowed unless a special request is approved
Ponds also me snakes and other random critters
@@klassycountryk You're not wrong
Me and my wife recently got married and have best friends that live there and have heard great things about the areas they’ve been very supportive and just wondering if it’s the right move. I know we need a fresh start in our new chapter in life! We currently live in Florida but wanting to move out of state it’s just too much out here weather is crazy and expenses out here are getting ridiculous. Let me know what the best advice you can give me!! 🙏❤️
@timtarczynski506 Congratulations on your marriage! 🎉 A lot of people are leaving Florida so you're not alone. The best advice I could give is to write down everything that is important to you with your next home and see which areas check off the most boxes. After that, if Greenville is still near the top of the list, schedule and I'll ensure you get the VIP tour. From that point, you'll be as certain as one can be about Greenville being, or not being the right area for you. I hope that helps!
Always the best content, not over the top but entertaining as it is informative.
Thank you very much! @evangelionism I appreciate that!
The city of Spartanburg has a program to assist first time homebuyers of moderate and lower income levels with down payments and closing costs. The program also assists moderate and lower income homeowners with home repairs.
@orgrichard First time homebuyers get a lot for their money in Spartanburg!
TR is racist as f. I went to middle school and high school there. 50% of the white kids wore shirts with the confederate flag on it made by dixie outfitters.
Same Were right beside to Marietta. Its a nice place to live though expensive asf
Hi Renaldo. I always learn something from your videos! I love the questions you asked the sales consultants as well as your humor. Have a great week!
That makes me happy to hear! 😀 I hope you have an even greater week!
You asked about the jumper vents and the reason they may have opted to place the vents in the wall over the doors as opposed to in the ceiling. Being in Florida, the attic gets incredibly hot 80% of the year. Having a jumper in the ceiling may look more cosmetically pleasing, but from a functionality standpoint; you would want it in the wall so the air that's being passed doesn't get heated (or in Winter cooled) using more energy to maintain temperature in the home. Even though the attic has blown in insulation, the attic is still going to be 50% closer to the outside temp, and even with an insulated duct, it can make a difference. There's also the argument for airflow. The idea is the path of least resistance is the most effective. A straight pass through rather than up, through an down.
That makes a lot of sense. I think it explains why the builders who have conditioned attic space take a different approach. Thanks for sharing your expertise! It's appreciated!
Sir do you have a listing of bricks homes with 1 or 2 acres of land? Thanks again
Yes I do! Send me an email when you get a chance please
Nice video thanks
Thank you too!
495,000?
@firearms_defense I know you were surprised!
@renaldo powell What do you think of Toll Brothers?
@firearms_defense I like Toll Brothers. They have some great floorplans and customization options. I haven't had a bad experience with them yet so they are still on my good side!
Hello @Firearms_Defense My husband and I are building with Toll Bros. in Hudson Pointe in Greenville. Great location less than 10min from downtown on the east side. We’ve had a great experience so far and the job site manager is awesome. We are very pleased with how our build is coming along. (Hope my answering this isn’t intrusive @Renaldo)
@CarolJoyable Thanks, Carol. I just went into contract with them in Coachman Reserve Simpsonville. Have you guys finished with the design center? If so, how would you rate your experience?
@@Firearms_Defense That’s wonderful! Congratulations! We went there to look at the model home with the stacking doors to be sure we wanted them. The model was stunning. I loved the whole set up there (a yard space closer to what we came from in MI.), but ultimately I wanted to be in the city. The houses at Hudson Point are just 10ft apart so VERY CLOSE! But we were looking for no maintenance property. The design center experience was excellent! We worked with Priscilla and she is fabulous- we ended up using 9 hours for our selections! If you can grab lunch one day, may I suggest Stella’s at Verdae- just a couple minutes away from the design center. So happy for you!
@CarolJoyable Congratulations to you guys as well. We took the Alisa Model, same as the model home. Thank you for the info. I will definitely check out Stella's. I grew up in Brooklyn, so I wanted something quiet but close enough. Coachman fit the bill
Good video sir. Question do you have a listing of all brick homes ? We are looking to purchase a property
So it sounds like traffic is the big complaint from people living there right now. Do you know if the city is making plans to address those issues at some point in the near future? Regardless, this place looks amazing and like a perfect blend of what I'm looking for in an ideal place to live.
Yes the city has plans to revamp a lot of the major roads. They have already started projects on some of them, it's just hard for construction to keep up with the growth rate
Yes the city has plans to revamp a lot of the major roads. They have already started projects on some of them, it's just hard for construction to keep up with the growth rate. But overall, It's still my favorite city by far. Where do you live now?
