I can't thank you enough for this video, because this hit home for me. I went on 53 interviews and got turned down every time because of nepotism, so I took a paraprofessional job in a local district. I dealt with students no one wanted to deal with, and they were not supposed to be in public school. I got punched, kicked, spit on, bitten, all while my administration wouldn't let me breathe because they were so fearful of what the student's mood would be. I did that for 6 years, and I was getting sick every 2 months and basically working as a teacher without getting paid like one. When 2 teaching jobs finally came available in my district, they turned me down twice, and it was also the school that I went to school at in middle school, the principal was my former social studies teacher. After that, I quit being a paraprofessional.......and 3 weeks later, they fired one of the teachers they hired over me, because he did something "HE WASN'T SUPPOSED TO"..... they called me to return and asked if I wanted to finish the rest of the year as a long-term sub with 3 months left of the year. I accepted the job, even though they treated me like trash. Those 3 months finished me off. One day, a student assaulted another student and somehow that was on me, because I needed to be "more alert." I had an unannounced observation my second week, and I didn't even know all my students names yet. At the end of the year, I didn't even get a thank you for filling in the last 3 months of the year, or even asked if I wanted to return the following year. All I got was "have a good summer." They posted the same job I just completed on the district website without asking me if I wanted it, because I had literally just finished that same job. I let it go. That was 3 years ago. Yesterday, that district had another temporary leave replacement position available and the school secretary called me about the job. I thought about for a few days, and I told her I wasn't interested. I was questioning this morning if I made the right choice, and thought "maybe it'll be different than what it was a few years ago." I came to my senses and realized it's not, it's going to be the same vicious circle all over again. This video confirmed to me it was the right move. God bless you

A recipe for disaster. There are over 3,842,796 teachers currently employed in the United States. 74.3% of all teachers are women, while 25.7%are men. The average teacher age is 42years old. Plus, a single motherhood epidemic sending unprincipled and undisciplined children. Good luck.

Hey girl 👋🏾 ! I absolutely love and appreciate your content. I can totally relate to everything you said. I’ve seen a drastic change in behavior in students and lack of respect for teachers over the 10 years I was in education. It continues to get increasingly worse as time progresses. I pray for all teachers and school staff. My heart goes out to every single one of them. I’m scared to continue to see the direction the educational system in America is headed. Smh 🤦🏾‍♀️ Lord help us all!

I love watching these and taking mental notes whenever I need something to do just so that I can go to school the next day and have a feeling of understanding for my teachers. I have a maybe unpopular opinion about covering other teachers classes. I am sorry but as a teacher I don’t believe it’s my problem. I am allocated planning time for a reason. I have the right to that planning time and use it for marking so I don’t have to do work at home or take a break if the day is really stressful or if I need to eat because I haven’t eaten all day. About 6 or 7 times I have been asked like 10 minutes before the next period to cover an extra class. The other day I declined saying no I have planning time / plans and covering an extra class would make me overalloted for the week with nearly no financial benefit. Teachers set boundaries. Don’t take on extra work that is not yours to do. The school needs to hire more people or admin need to cover the classes themselves.

@@adrianagauci4894 I agree! What do you teach? Something else I did not mention in this video is how teachers can be moved to different locations and/or grade levels with little to no input at times. How do you feel about that?

I am a substitute teacher with 7 years subbing experience. I wrote a list of all the shenanigans kids pull in the classroom. I estimated I would come up with about 50 or 75. My list is now MORE THAN 225 Rude Misbehaviors kids do during class! The problem is the public has an idea that kids are a bit misbehaved... but it is WAY WORSE THAN THAT. Sometimes there are multiple kids in the same room doing different rude things. For example chasing each other around the room, cussing at each other, throwing things, eating in class and throwing food & wrappers on the floor, Laughing and talking VERY LOUDLY and NOT STOPPING, sitting on the floor or counter tops rather than their assigned seat, Busting inkpens apart and throwing all the pieces except the ink cartridge which they pour out the ink all over the floor/desk/ and other students seat so he sits on it and ruins their clothes, Handwash lotion is glopped into their hand and they slap it into the face of another kid, pushing/slapping each other constantly doing "Fake-Fights", Bickering constantly with other student the whole class and WONT SHUT UP, insulting the teacher in many many ways such as saying "YOU'RE SO OLD!"... or "YOU STINK".... or "THE TEACHER FARTED!!" (whole class laughs, but you DIDN"T fart!), doing a nasty dance IN CLASS recording it on Tik Tok, ........ etc etc.....etc.... if anyone wants the WHOLE LIST just email me and I will attach it to the email. my name is David Mundy my emaill is framistan@sbcglogal dot net. ask for the 200 shenanigan list.
