Oztrail Lumos Stadium Camping Light Review

Oztrail Lumos Stadium Camping Light Review
Wow 😮 $600 too $900 for a camp table? Great review Alex. Goes to show how silly some ppl are 😅
Before buying a fixed awning, think long and hard about the area it covers. I fitted up a 270° to my half canopy setup and it just doesn’t cover the area I need, as it doesn’t extend far enough forward.
Hey Alex. If you do a different style tent review (pop up vs pole vs air pole), I’m happy to lend you our air pole tent to use for how ever long you need for a good review.
Hey Alex. I’ve got a Zempire Bamboo round table. We use mostly to eat dinner off. The benefit is it folds up small for a round table and has individual adjustable legs, it’s also quite stable. Great vid tho mate!
Fantastic review as usual, keep up the awesome work. We use a combination of the 6ft bigold blowmold and the oztrail slat table which is height adjustable.
After having 4 or 5 different camping tables i just ended up getting a smallish blowmold lifetime table and to be honest its the most practical, simplest, robust and cheapest table ive had. I run my cooker on it all the time with no issues, and its easy to clean, setup and packaway.
I liked your video, I enjoyed your humour, I like the idea of the poll-less awnings but not on a stormy nite/day, mine has poll's and I peg it down, its not as sexy as the 'poll free' variety but it'll be there in the morning! I like your honest, strait forward vibe and I look forward to your equipment appraisals. Thanks.
Love the video mate. Could not agree with you anymore about the awning. I bought a full 23zero 270 awning and all walls for over $2200. My mate bought the new 270 from Kings which like the Ridge Ryder is full free standing; he got it on sale for $399 and honestly; I almost prefer it more than my awning. Which is VERY upsetting.
Thanks mate 🙂 I'm glad to at least be suffering the awning problem with somebody else then haha
The slat ones also have structure under them which can limit getting a chair under them if camping too.
Blow mould 4ft table that folds works best for me but i would love a bench to suit but they old come in 6ft which doesn't fit Anyone know of an option?
Zempire Hexolite 80 Camping Table Zempire Hexolite from 53cm to 85cm in hight. Adjustable hight all legs. Wet proof. Is suberb table.
I want one of these things BAD
I don’t think you can go past the Lifetime blowmould that does all three heights and is totally stable. Sure it weighs a bit and can’t handle hot pans, but at AUD80 from BCF…
I knew a contractor who did a lot of outback work. Week at a time in the scrub. His camping table was a full park bench picnic table he lifted around with his Hiab truck. Said it made a huge difference to quality of life.
Great review and job with this will be a great help in a couple of months as we are looking at getting some of these esp the big D
Such a helpful channel and unbiased reviews. Thanks Alex
I bought the large Adventure King roll-up table, and it's been worth its weight in gold. It's been set up and used for weeks at a time and is a great height for a big bloke like me (193cm), it weighs f all, packs up real small and takes about 45 seconds to set up (if you dawdle).
That's the aluminium slat design one hey? A very good balance in weight capacity, pack size and setup time 👌
12:47 those steel mesh tables are such a scam. The mesh is to thin and rusts out in under 12 months. Needs to be stainless mesh I think.
I've been trying to give this one an extra good flogging, lots of salt water and sea spray so I can give it a thorough review.
@ happens especially around the ones with fire pits in them. One fire in it and it’s burnt off all the coating, couple days later will be covered in surface rust.
That intro was ridiculous lol. Thanks for brightening my day
Wicked review Alex, currently running a small lifetime table but have been looking at upgrading, saw that Harry had the Big D table in some of his recent videos and was keen to find out more about it. As a 6’6” bloke, nearly every time I use a table I have to either bend over and break my back, sit down or kneel down to use it. Thanks for the comprehensive review
I’ve set up my Hyperflame on my blowmould tables for years without any real ill effects. Less damage than rebuilding a bike engine did anyway. Everything I carry needs to serve at least two purposes. Most of my gear lives on the back of the ute and the blowmould table does an awesome job of protecting my gazebos bag from the tray floor, it’s great for separating the firewood from my swag, and can even do duty as a traction board. (Not the folding one). You can push it under your vehicle to lay on while you pull out the axle you just broke, and it’s a good table. Pretty good value for $50.
Looks like the Stratus 900mm table is in a league of it's own. I can't find anything else as high as it.
Absolutely. A couple of the questions blow mould tables come near 900, but the stratus is the only one I've seen 900 or above
Wanderer Folding Table with Storage. awesome never had a problem
Just when I thought I knew tables, another great video
I have the Quest blow mould you popped up. The mesh side is great for cooking and airing dishes on later. The table side is as slippery as hell. Your caterpillar will need rubber soled boots to stay on. The slightest angle and everything slides off. You need a rubber mesh on the table top.
Non slip mats from Cole or Woolies are cheap and usable for stopping rattles, multi purpose is the way to go.
Before I google "Where to get Big D" should I check my safe search is on? BTW, the extensions on the Big D table are extra... and, is the drying rack suitable and strong enough to put the stove on for a cooking surface? Do the 2 extensions (sink + drying rack) pack into the table also? Thanks for your reviews!!!!
😂😂😂😂
😆 yep it's risky business that's for sure. After seeing some big D on the beach that day (when Harry was showing it off) I reckon the drying rack would be strong enough for a stove. And I wasn't sure about how they pack until I watched Harry's video this morning and saw him unpacking them from underneath as he folded the legs out so yeah! All packs pretty neat!
@@Camping_reviews that Harry has no shame! 😂 Thanks very much for this and your reply. The more space efficient the better.
😂😂😂 link on my onlyvans
Man those waves made me want to go to the beach
Great reviews buddy, thanks for sharing
probably the easiest method i could think of was just getting a kmart folding table and putting a sheet on thick aluminum on top
The big d has nearly everything I’ve been looking for in a table but pricey! I’ll stick to my 35 year old slatted table with my 23zero grill on top for the hot things & the bonus of extra room it creates. We’ve made a couple of 900 high tables out of SS that do the job for food prep; painful to set up though, but bonus is they’d take too long to steal 😂
perfect been trying to find the perfect table, need one thats high but not huge and wide like most
Great video Alex. We now have two Quest outdoor tables. The Quest 4 which is our prep bench and a god send for the back. And we got the Quest razor 90, which is a one piece metal top. Perfect for sitting at for two people in camp chairs. And is very flat when packed up.
Am I crazy or is heat not much of an issue as he mentioned with blowmold? I've been cooking on one for two years, gas burner, pan on it, no protection underneath. Zero warping or issues.
Could be that my stove is just poorly heat shielded underneath. Or cooking longer meals, I've done a few multi-hour simmer meals like stews so maybe that's what did it in.
@@Camping_reviews. You could put a large silicon mat under the cooker to protect the table from heat.
Another important point with the Bamboo tables: most (if not all those brands you mentioned) have a similar length-ways folding system. This means they pack away long and thin-ish, where as most moulded plastic or MDF tables pack away as a square. This is the main reason I've been looking at Bamboo tables, as they'll fit into the long narrow space I have available for them in my van.
Pork and some crunchy Sea Salt.
Gidday camper, I use the 50 buck bunnings white plastic top table, super lightweight for the table top space you get, 1.8m by 70cm give or take, goes on my roof rack, then can put other stuff atop of it and strap more stuff down, they are good for a few years before UV destroys them.
For Aussies don't ever buy anything like this from a camping store before going to Kmart and BigW first. The price differences are massive.
Absolutely. I was about to link the Lifetime Folding kids table to anaconda but then checked bunnings. $149 in anaconda, $89 at bunnings!?! 😧
I'd be interested in a review of veh attachable or attached tables. I've seen the maxtrax/ table on the the side of troops but these are obviously a very vehicle specific fit. But how about barn door tables or other alternatives. I'd been interested to see what's out there albeit feasible to do such a review. Mate, I'm glad you're back on the tube and these camping gear reviews are worth there weight in gold for the novice and not so novice camper / traveller. 👍 oh. Hi Harry 😅😂
As a mostly solo camper travelling light I find the shortcomings of a slat table are overcome by its price, light weight and pack size. I’ve considered many of the tables featured here (not the $500 plus ones) but I’ve stuck with the slats for the reasons listed. Appreciate your efforts to make these videos
Yes! I love the slat table too! It usually in my kit, but I do find the height for food prep and cooking sucks, and also it's sometimes a bit small, having a second one along would be handy
@ food prep not a major issue. I’m not worthy to wipe Harry’s tables in that regard. 😂
Forgot to mention the enormous 4 segment Aldi table we sometimes use. It is HUGE, light stable and strong BUT as with all things Aldi, you can only get it when/if they decide to bring it in.
The other thing that people should consider are the modifications to the vehicle - the shopping trolley in back of shot has a couple of great examples that don't take up too much space but give you that stainless benchish height surface allowing you to opt for a cheaper/lighter table height table for eating and utility
Totally agree. I use the car tables more than any others
Strart here after f2f 😂 my fav TH-camrs is a good morning on the toob 🎉
Tables, tables, tables, boy have we been through some tables over the years. I found those roll top aluminium ones to be the absolute worst. The plastic clips break and the elastic gives up fairly quickly. My favourite is one I got from Snowys, sadly I can' remember the brand and I'm not going to fish it out from the 4x4 just to find out but it is full metal, good height, and is a two fold style and was about $150. Very strong and durable. At the bottom end of the range are the $25-30 Kmart folding tables that you throw away if they ever get wet. They are actually ok if they stay nice and dry and are about the cheapest there is these days. The things I look for in a table now, after years of buying them and throwing them away: Good height, strong, heat resistant and as light as possible without being flexible. The legs are important too, they need to have proper ends to make the table stable and a bar across between the legs to stop it sinking in to soft sand. Great run down of tables, possibly the best I have seen.
They're too gnocci😂 so many options. Great review. Love a Harry appearance
Lovely Ep
I think we have to accept some issues with cheap gear. That being said I’ve had a kings fridge for year with no issue BUT I would not take it on a rough trip to say cape York for example.
Anything with sand is a delicious meal. Thanks for the effort mate. The hunt for a camp table continues.
Thanks, great overview. Totally agree about heights and needing to bend over for prep. Have been looking for something like the stratus but with some adjustment for uneven ground.
Thanks for the review, love the format🎉🎉
Im blown away by the price of some of the tables you demonstrated. Ive been using the cheap kmart camp mdf tables and they work for me at around $20. Cheap enough to replace every few years
Yep a lot of the pricing is insane, especially if you're just car camping. Anyone buying HELINOX for anything other than multi-night hiking has too much money to burn.
Great timing. Was just looking at tables yesterday at BCF and Anaconda.
