Beauty of form and content!!!
@@Asha-g6c thanks! Indeed.
Good and beautiful practice!!!
Hi master. There is a very similar throw in Aikido (also in the branch of karate I practice) but both throws use a circular step in order to work. Greetings from Venezuela master.
@@victorsegovia8008 yes the girl in the video is a 2nd Dan Aikido practitioner, in one of the applications at the beginning of the video she used the aikido version. I thought that was too plain… lol
@wutan_nj the karate version, again the one related with the branch of karate I practice, after the knee strike you can use the throw. I am very sorry because of my poor way I explained the throw
Good stuff

the finishing move, where one hand guiding the head down and rotate with the lever on the other hand (palm up on opponent's wrist or arm) becomes a rotational throw. In Aikido this is essentially Kaitenage. I like the parry entry what you all demonstrated. Here's the Aikido version th-cam.com/video/mFEYcf0TVtY/w-d-xo.html&pp=ygUXa2FpdGVuYWdlIGFnYWluc3QgcHVuY2g%3D
I can’t wait to learn and apply this one
@@jonathanshafter1800 don’t they have something similar in wrestling?
This uses one hand / arm to bridge ,yes . I noticed the arm circle ❤❤❤
Excellent 👏👏👏
Nice to see it done correctly. Beautiful throws.
和梁朝偉掰餅用
I wouldn't practice this against a punch, because against a punch you will never be able to do this, but in a grappling scenario or when your opponent tries to push you or reaches to you to grab you or something, that's when this can be very good. I like this, this is a good grappling move, but not against a punch, that is way too fast for this. But like I said, amazing grappling technique. 🤜🫷
@@Stolas9 yes I’ve seen a similar move in Roman wrestling. In terms of against a strike, that all depends if the initial contact can be made at 80% of the upcoming strike, if that parry can be made at 80% of a committed strike or push, or choke… this can be done nicely.
I would recommend to consider that, If your body movement skill is high enough, then you can position yourself for any given technique. If your body movement skill isn't good enough, then you wont be able to make any technique work, including a simple jab. Good training will develop your body movement skill to where more and more techniques become possible. Peace
@@wutan_njthat's a very unrealistic "if" scenario. I've used this in Judo and even BJJ sparring and it works for grappling matches, although you need to modify it to be less stylized during speed with a non-cooperating opponent. It does not work against good western Boxing or Muy Thai strikers who are trying to punch you, and it's a good way to get knocked out fast. The use against strikers is after you've closed the distance and then they over extend themselves trying to create distance from you to get back to their striking range. Unless you're up against a drunk flailing person who can't fight and is just swinging their arms wildly, do not attempt this against a full speed punch. Or do it and report back how that experience went. It's a good way to learn.

I wondered why the back arm is sometimes pointing backwards and sometimes facing forwards when you do the elbow-ram
@@markmacdonald1849 I don’t quite understand your question. Can you provide time codes on what you meant by elbow facing forward? When the rear elbow faces back is 1. When the other arm is applying a forward striking force, so at the same moment the rear elbow pulls back to counter that forward energy to create a center-out explosive force, so called “Baji”. 2. That backward pulling arm is grabbing the opponent’s wrist or arm and pulling back when we apply the strike.
@@wutan_nj New to looking at Bajiquan and fascinated by the power of the elbow ramming (ping zhou - I now try it against the heavy bag). I was meaning that in the solo forms sometimes the other arm is pointing straight back and sometimes it is bent in front of the body. I guess you have just shown the meaning of the straight-back one at 18 seconds ie the lifting throw?
@@markmacdonald1849 okay I understand your question now. When the rear arm is in the back, that means the elbow is being used to "enter" the gate". When the rear arm is by the waist, that means you are already in the gate.
