I absolutely love the crisp modern design. The use of modern building materials. The contractors are real pros. You made a great informative video. I’m very curious about what the project costs. Thank for sharing and enjoy.

Im just curious, if the building is just 1 story high, why did you need such a large foundation? Wouldnt concrete poles be enough? Will the building wash away otherwise when there is a rainstorm?

And the purchase of the land plus the construction of this house without shutters that is very bad, how many dollars in total ? All that is very very very bad... 🫥😑😨😮‍💨😮‍💨😮‍💨☹️☹️☹️😖😖😖😩😩😩

The house... lake certains things... and I don't like at all the forest in opposite the front of the house, and in more, they don't have internet with fiber, I don't like that at all... and in fact, when I wake up in the morning, I am in total darkness, I have special shutters that din't let any light inside when they are down, so, this house, no, it's bad...

I love the yellow entrance and the cross reed glass in the door and side panes. Polished concrete is a great idea. It will be easy to clean up dusty or muddy footprints. I like that you didn't go for generic "Shaker" cabinetry for the kitchen, but matte black shows every mark and wouldn't have been my choice. Sames goes for stainless steel. You built your dream, but I feel that black and white is too harsh for the wooded environment.

Cool, only one comment, I would cover the cables and other installations coming out of the ground so that when pouring slab no accidental concrete slips. Just a plastic bag can save you a lot of headaches. Cheers.

There's going to be a lot of erosion on that north side no overhang and siding going to the ground.

So explain how you connected the slab to the wall and you also said that you set the upper rear wall on top of the rear stem wall and made it sound as it was connected directly to that

Man, such wasted opportunity on the budget for gravel vs. digging a little deeper & getting same foundational structure while gaining more space. It would cost just a bit more but much more functional. Ahhh hate to see it

Builder from Northern Europe. I assume it's the US. You still have very low standards there, I see. The utility room looks like vomit. Distribute air and heat in the house through pipes🤢. Never heard of underfloor heating. Let's talk about low costs and the free heat of solar energy in the building has an uninsulated floor. As a class A requirement, we need to install 300mm EPS 100 in three layers. Floor heating and Geothermal heating are the everyday standard. The winter energy consumption of a 150m2 house is 600kwh and 120 euros in February -20c. . A light controlled by Alexa is like a dick show, haven't you heard of motion sensors and location sensors? Strong performance, but there is room for improvement, grade 3

As an amateur when it comes to building like this I am curious as to why the foundation is filled up with gravel. Is it to add mass so the foundation sitts more stable on the ground? My first thought was that it would be nice to use that space as a basement/storrage. Really nice build and a great video overall that really inspire me for my future plans to build a cabin of my own here in Sweden.

I’m not understanding the backfill. If not just a waste of space and material, isn’t that a lot of “fluid” weight up against the walls? Rock or water, gravity still has it pushing down and outward. Seems like a lot of unnecessary stress on the outer wall rebar. Couldn’t they just have created a concrete floor to tie the walls together? Or hell for the money they spent on rock couldn’t they have created the floor joists with steel and thus tied all the walls together without the weight pushing outward? Seems like plumbing and electrical would have been a lot easier also with the crawl space.

What a waste of expensive materials ! Any rain knocking on your front door ?!! What's the reason of filling the entire foundation with gravel when it's surrounded by concrete? You could leave at least half of the area for a basement and a smaller terace. With 11 bunker style pillars, you could extend another 3 feet out. The design of the house reminded me the first house my brother made. Bro, your house front is in the back? !!!

Very nice. Thanks for sharing. The foundation is massively strong for this location. For what you spent to make a flat slab, I think you could have had a crawl space or a partial basement for storage and utilities. The bedrock is good insurance that the slope will not move under your house.

Wow ! If you did this in So. California you coud tripple the materials and construction, and just forget about the land ! So here I am in a 70's era mobile home with 0 insulation, and I still have to pay lot fees ... But I could sell the old thing for more than you paid for that beauty ! Location my friend ...
