A very funny lady...Some of her characters were a bit OTT at times. But she nailed it 99.9% of the time I loved her move into serious work. Pat and Margaret, I was a kid then Later, Housewife 49 and Eric and Ernie This set was supplied by old Tesco store fixtures 😂 Did they have ½ pence added on to items back in the mid 80s? I thought that currency went out before I was born

Her comment about the council demolishing the street made me laugh. Ironic that British councils have destroyed more neighborhoohs than the Luftwaffe ever did.

Has anyone noticed that in her shoe shop sketch there was also a Mrs Brinsley? The one who thought the hen droppings were Janine's liquorice allsorts. Was it the same woman?

Fantastic writing, as always from VW, but I really do think Julie Walters would have given a better rendition. Probably just committed heresy, but that's my opinion.
