You got my wheels turning in the last chapter. Something that would be really good would be to to put out a video showing us the slants and shifts to isolate certain defensive lineman for one-on-one's. Having a Donald or Lawrence or Bosa and making it impossible to double him i's almost a pressure package on its own

I base out of palms for this reason, I used to run press quarters with the bail over the top coverage technique on the corners and user the BS safety as a deep 3rd robber in madden 23, in palms I haven’t tried the show blitz method imma give that a spin, good vid xando!
Those videos are by AW (Anthony White), hes the current gameplay lead dev and makes new plays for madden. The issues with coverage come from programming challenges more than anything
@@XandoFootballyeah it’s a thing with legacy coding with the game building on nearing 30 year old code, so a lot of new additions and patches have to be so specific that they can get by that stuff and work properly with that stuff first. The only way they solve that is to start completely over, which I doubt they do… (luckily with the CFB game they can sorta figure things out and take things out to make it work properly, I’d imagine once they figure out what works there, you’ll see it in madden)
@@XandoFootball the college game that’s allegedly coming out. They have to build basically a completely new game for it bc porting stuff over just won’t work initially… I’d say a few years after they get that game running they will adapt those systems for Madden
@xandofootball I watched the mut stuff video and in that video you maned up the #2&3 wrs in palms…how about you man up the #3 where if they call an rpo you would get a push call..my opponent ran that call twice and I got a deflection and an int
Theoretically Cover 2 and palms should be good vs these rpo pass options, but the player responsible gets blocked. That’s it. He can’t play his assignment if he gets blocked every time… (which is very annoying at times but a took a while for me to realize this) Also bc defenders can’t really push blockers back or get in the way, these plays have HIGH success rates
I say all of this to say, The bubble screen is a concept that is weak to man coverage and strong against zone and most match coverages (palms wouldn’t always work bc the aggressive player who relieves the conflict defender will still get blocked, and the conflict defender will leave the area entirely punishing this concept) Palms is good against almost every other type of RPO though (theoretically): quick game passes, and the Flanker Screen style are good examples
2x2 RPO I will run Palms and if I have issues I am going to cover 3 move both S and call Palms. I am still showing a 1 hugh look but we are really 2 high I call this Rip/Liz😂😂. Vs 3x1 I am man aligned and Backside CB comes over man up the number 3

I just come out in a man blitz with blitzing scb and put the scb on a hard flat on the side of the rpo excellent against rpo bubble
