First of all, I believe you need to work on your listening comprehension and english skills. The speaker clearly describes the reality of the situation. When he says "all in front of his eyes" he means everything was being witnessed, not that every single family member, children, and companion was killed. But that those that were from these groups, it was blatantly in front of his eyes on the grounds of Karbala. There was maybe about 3 severely injured companions left on the ground, but died a bit later due to their injuries. Or for example a servant that was taken as prisoner but released later, he became a narrator. Those that narrated Karbala were mostly from the family members that witnessed what was going on like Imam Sajjad A.S and Bibi Zainab A.S, survived after being taken as prisoner and forced to walk city to city. These verses that you are quoting refer to the reality of the pegan meccans who were literally WORSHIPING those idols and they deemed them as their gods. Shias alhamdulillah only worship Allah swt 5 times a day. Worshiping anything other than Allah swt takes you outside the fold of Islam. Secondly, calling on someone does not equate to shirk or worshiping them. That is a nonsensical leap of logic. Thirdly, when we do ask the Holy Prophet A.S for help for example, we believe it is only through Allah's will and permission due to the Holy Prophet's closeness to Allah swt “Had they, when they wronged themselves, come to you and pleaded Allah for forgiveness, and the Apostle had pleaded for forgiveness for them, they would have surely found Allah all-clement, all-merciful.” 4:64 “They said, ‘Father! Plead {with Allah} for forgiveness of our sins! We have indeed been erring’.” 12:97 “He said, ‘I shall plead with my Lord to forgive you; indeed He is the All-forgiving, the All-merciful’.” 12:98 Why did the Holy Prophets not tell their children only ask Allah swt for forgiveness?
