Nice run! I remember the game well, but never saw the Amiga version (it was in tons of platforms). Wow, the sound/music is terrible, considering the Amigas audio capabilities.

LMAO used to love this game when i was a kid nearly hyperventilated when i found there was a Ninja 2 on a random copied tape i had lmao. being a kid, no job worries, no mortgage no responsibilities. smashing out the Last Ninja , was heaven . cheers for the vid brought back some great memories. imagine if some one made a VR virgin of this woop lol

How the hell are you able to kill the end of level guards so fast??!? Even the Shogun towards the end. Except for when he's on his throne. The more bushido (green dragon) you have, the less hits you have to take to defeat him in the first round, before fighting him. The level design made no sense in this game, while in the previous two, it was mostly logical (with the exception of the Dungeons, but that was simply to add to the ghost maze feeling of the level). And the second level and third levels are just soooo stupid. It wasn't until long after I had finished the game that I understood what the rope was for... I thought you HAD to use the vines and lose energy. And the plugging of the river and the vortex... geez. Also: If the scrolls are so important: Why are they just laying around like that? At least the scroll in the first level is the goal! The puzzle in the fourth leve, probably the best level, is actually quite clever. But it took me months to figure out that I had to use the bellows in that fireplace.

Holy diver! Even I didn't know about that glitch at th-cam.com/video/aAKIXKVez2Q/w-d-xo.htmlsi=WpOnco3hVnjHprvj&t=317 , nor that you could jump to the side instead of over the chasm at the start of level 3. I thought I knew everything about this game. My record is still 11:12, though :-)

recently I am wathing speedrun of Ultima 8 Pagan, and it reminds me of last ninja (when the avator is jumping between stones to cross a river). So here I am. :)

I'm in awe of this. Picked up some of the tricks in the 80s, but I never knew about the Sewers and Mansion wall glitches! Also, I'm coming for you 😝but my best time is 12.09 right now with some major goofs, usually involving getting round enemies.

I never much liked the combat in the last ninja games. But I like the exploration and adventure aspects

This is the best way to play. If you stop to fight everyone you die. That's why I could never finish this without cheats

This game was such bs. I spent hours on this game then gave up because I couldn't get past the dragon. Who knew it was all about "where you stood" to throw the smoke bombs. 🙄

Hi, are you still active and are glitches accepted runs? I discovered as a kid you could duck at the door that opens at 4:20 you could teleport through it. I'm pretty sure it's just the sprite crossing the trigger. Means you don't have to go underground.

I was too young to play this, but I remember my dad grinding through it. He completed the first one, but never got past the helicopter on the office level. Turns out you can jump off screen. Would have saved him a lot of tears. Amazing speed run. WD

4:52. You can just walk off to the lower platform. No jump needed.

Classic game but they should remake it where you can't just run past every enemy. So silly.

A remake in 3D would be interesting to see; I might create some rudimentary models or drawings in 2022/2023 CE... stay tuned folks/people.
