@@lolitabonita08 oh cool! It was the Poly+Stain version in espresso? I found various brands in espresso but not the Varathane Poly+Stain. The color winds up different than the others. Maybe just no luck here on the west coast 🤔

@@therefurbishedlife The one i purchase is varathane classic penetrating wood stain in espresso...When i apply it is gorgeous and has a low sheen to it. If you want to try it you can add some Poly and do a little experiment and see if works. I honestly do not have a strong chemical odor when i applied it... I am sorry I though it was the same but i was wrong. I was looking for the espresso color for long time until i found it last week. I wanted in a gel form but i have not see it so far. If you want one i can buy it for you and ship it...u can reinburse me when u receive it.

Thank you, but no worries 😊 I wound up being pretty happy with how the gel stain I wound up using worked and now I have tons of it to use on any other projects haha:) I love how gel stains seem to have a more even application on some types of wood than regular stains do, the poly+stain kind of had that effect and it it’s nice because you don’t have to top coated either. I think I’m gonna be 80 years old by the time I use up all of my different cans of stain haha 😵‍💫

@@therefurbishedlife LOLOL i am in the same predicament...too much paint all over the place that is taking over my space OLOL but i love to create new colors from the colors i already have. Few months back I trashed about 15 cans of stain, too heavy on the chemical odor and did not like the way they performed...so to the trash...still I have about 10 small cans and 2 quart size cans left...It is fun to be an artist!!!

@@mydisciplecoach Oh wow! That makes me so happy to know you guys enjoy my channel, thank you! And great to hear that you're thinking about getting back into sculpting!!💛 I think for sealing in the flowers I would've probably used a regular matte polycrylic, or something similar. I would've just needed to be careful not to get the poly on the wood that still needed to absorb the white paint. For attaching all of the clay bits I used Titebond glue. 😊
