What an amazing game. It wasn't too much bond and not too much on Jason Bourne. Good twists and the levels were great. Absolutely loved this series. Don't know how they'd make a new remake because the aiming and limitations are what made these games unique.

Ace Combat 2 is really fun. The 3DS game is also really good but get Legacy + instead of Legacy if you can for the right stick controls. Hand cramps are unfortunately expected. I had to buy an ergonomic grip for my 3ds because holy hell. Zero was my introduction to the series so I'm biased towards it but it's so damn good.

This game has issues with checkpoints regarding time, health, ammo, etc. Also, I didn't like the mechanics of the game. The inverse of R3 toggle bothered me. The aiming was terrible, espeically when far away certain soldiers don't die even when I am aiming directly at them. Other than that, the game is cool. Hopefully, a remake will solve these issues.

This is my favorite game on the ps2. I remember being a kid and watching my stepdad play and at the time the violence terrified me..actually i played Red Faction 2 before i played Red Faction 1. But since then ive olayed theough the game a bunch of times, on PC too, and i love it. Very few games capture the atmosphere.

The Omega Strain and Syphon Filter 2 are the best ones in the franchise in my opinion.

Yeah u trippin on omega strain being the worst lol. I do believe that it was a little too ahead of it's time.

Never understood why there was no zombie mode in the game. But guess they just wanted a quick cash grab from people who didint have a Xbox 360 or PS3 at the time.

The biggest problem was releasing it so late, the PS1 was already dead by then and if you compared it to MGS2 which released at the same time, it was archaic in comparison.

the texture pops happened only in the english pc version of the game,it was fixed on other versions.i fi remenber riht it's mentionned in the videos you can unlock

you say there's no collectibles,yet there's a few items to find,like a ring in the cemetery and in the ram tunnels

The opening montage with Gabe destroying the Agency goons is one of my favorites of all time

The damage control and ship repair was awesome

Augmented plasma cannon fire is done by taking damage from enemies (like the Ultra Meter from Streetfighter 4).

The console versions are superior - you get in-game cheat codes. The PC version changes the gamepad controls and deletes the cheat codes.

I remember in the first level of the first game, to kill Kravitch, you could go for a good-timed headshot, or just keep shooting him until his body armor wears off, or do what I did as a kid, which I found out by accident: find the grenade launcher in the alley and use that to kill him. And yeah, I agree; when I was a kid, it was fun using the Taser on bad guys, lol.

Oh man it's my FAVOURITE SF game. No nostalgia here, i've played it over a decade after it's release. And for me SF from 1st to OS are the best TPS games ever made - amazing gameplay core, creepy and very dark atmosphere, amazing level design. Omega Strain might not suit everyone, especialy considering that it's build around replaying levels - first time it's a shitshow, later on you almost dance around the level, like a fucking death on rollerblades.

Excuse me but why didnt you cover the other 9 endings and explained the conditiond required to achieve each one. As, well as trying to explain how do each outcome relates to how you beat the game. Btw, the ending that put in was the nirvana ending (you transcended existance, thus you were everywhere despite no longer having a physical form)

I loved the game at the time (i still have all 3 for the original PSX) but good lord SF2 was -difficult- The trick sniper shot where you had to time the two guards crossing just right to take both of them out with one bullet.

This game had a lot of good bones. The storylines weren't worst, but the game fell short in a lot of areas. I did like the custom loadouts, characters and looks. The fact that it needs multi-player to unlock a lot of stuff when playstation online wasn't that great, really hurt the game. If they went back and remade this game, it could have A LOT more meat added and be a great game.

Hey man I need your help with something. I'm thinking of a game that MAYBE only has two bosses. It's a mecha game that basically has the same first level as Einhänder (City highway- scifi aesthetic). It was DEFINITELY on the PS1 because I played it on the PS1 with the flip-up screen before wanting to play a POTATO CHIP and destroying the console (I was 3).

I wish I knew what the 'not hidden gems' are for mech games on the PS2, because I'm trying to figure out what games to get for this system. This is probably the best of these lists I've found on youtube for PS2 games.
