@thatmediocreguitarist No, I swear. I'd have found them. Idk where you live but I was in central Kentucky. I didn't even understand fully what the punk rock lifestyle was until I was 18. there were no punks at my school. Me and my friends were the closest thing to anything countercultural and if you were anything rather than completely normal you hung out in our group or you were just a nondescript nobody. And most people don't want to be that. I definitely didn't. But I'd long before learned that I wasn't going to be popular the way that I'd wanted to be between my 6th and 7th grade years before entering junior high or middle school. I wanted to be poular which meant being a prep basically. Haha! True story. Well laid plans usually don't play out well and that one certainly did not. So I decided to become infamous if not popular and started riding skateboard and listening to metal music and certain punk bands call me anything that had a spirit of rebellion to it . And my punk oats were sewn. All this may sound quaint and might make me sound dumb. Because today the youth know so much about so many things because of the internet. We don't have the internet. I had to hitchhike out of my hometown at age 19 to really discover things. I had checked all over the place I spent time out on the west coast and really learned what punk rock was. But in my my hometown of like 15,000 people girls didn't like me at all. I had to start hanging out in the city next to my hometown, it was 250,000 population back then. But there was a punk scene there and so that's where I finally felt at home. But even in Lex there there weren't death rock chicks. They would've likely been considered goths and thst's just wrong, lol. There were punk girls, yea. But for the most part they were far left PC activist types, or riot girls.

@thatmediocreguitaristwell if you ever pickup Acts of the Unspeakable (Autopsy’s 3rd album and my favorite) make sure you don’t show them the gatefold artwork. My mum saw it when I was in my late teens and she lost her shit 😂
