    You can put the oil filter into the housing and align the spigot as per video - but the book method is to put the filter into the top cannister (clicks twice when pushing in) and screw it down and torque it to 25nm (after replacing cannister o ring that comes with filter). If you look closely into the oil filter housing on the block there is a circular "ramp" that the spigot on the filter winds along and then hits a stop above the spigit hole and goes in as you wind ie. Self aligning! Also when removing filter as others have said unscrew the cannister 4 to 5 turns and wait for 2 mins to let the oil drain out - less mess!

    I’m advised that wool seat covers on leather is a NO NO, as leather is porous & needs to breathe. The wool absorbs moisture & dries out the leather. That’s coming from an elderly gentleman who has worked as a saddler all his life & owns 2 beautiful classic Rolls Royce’s. He cleans & conditions the leather 2 times a year. In addition, the correct pronunciation is: PEENA-FAREENA.

    • @TheBuckthat
      @TheBuckthat 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I thought it was only the petrol motors that had a fuel cut off switch in the front left hand kick panel, most of the time with diesels is the pump in the tank failing, turn the ignition switch on you can hear the pump tank prime, then the engine pump takes over. if the pump in the tank fails the car will not restart if the filter has been replaced or run out of fuel.

    Thank you for this video, I have grown up with the H series and owned a few, but for some reason never done the heater core, way easier than I imagined, for some reason I thought you tackled it from under the dash. Thanks again. 👍

    • @TheBuckthat
      @TheBuckthat ปีที่แล้ว

      Glad it helped, most cars are done from under the dash, but the Holden engineers made it easy on this one. The Ford XD toXH and BA dashboards are painfull to get the heater cores out.

      Most Australian delivered GB 36 are twin ford lehmans rated at 120hp each, but the riviera GB 36s had twin volvo or cummins ranging from 165hp to 210hp each engine, ours had replacement cummins 220hp for a total of 440hp, but was still very economical at 8 to 10knots.

    Gday, enjoyed ur video, I own a 2011 awd, I cannot stress enough after reading comments on others that have a diesel to make sure that you do both the timing belt and pump belt @ the 165k or earlier,,,it will be costly if it fails, also, up here in Sydney anyway, try a company called BMI for engine spares, way cheaper then Ford and they are genuine, I bought mine 2nd hand and was assured that both belts were done,,,they weren't, 8 k later , I'm still replacing parts, so do your timing belt

      @@TheBuckthat What i did when i didn't have enough money for a new core was just chop the pipes off the old core and put a loop behind the heater box so on the outside it keeps up appearances. But you will miss the heat when you're driving to work at 6am lol.

    • @TheBuckthat
