    I see many comments about the inclusion of a statement of remembrance by a LGBT soldier in the ceremony. Many claim that this was the BBC's doing, it was not. The Festival of Remembrance is run and organised by the Royal British Legion. I suggest you go and read the LGBT+ Independent review report into how many thousands of LGBT service personal were treated pre 2000. Yes it may have been against the rules, but many of us joined not having a clue to our sexualities or identities. However POWs and criminals would have been treated better and not put through such inhuman treatment by the service police. We lost our military family and often our own families, now slowly we are being welcomed back into our military family. RBL now considers all members of the armed forces as equal, where as before LGBT werent seen as equal nor were they welcomed as part of the service veterans family. I served 14 years as a sergeant in the army before being discharged after a 6 month RMP SIB investigation for being LGBT in 1989. I was at this performance and to hear the sergeant speak brought tears to my eyes as I finally felt back in my family where i belong.

    In 1998, millions watched LIVE as an object appeared and began orbiting our moon for 5 days and nights. Many thought it was Jupiter shining bright nearer our moon than normal. Scholars and scientists pointed out Jupiter was in the far northwestern corner of the moon viewing not in the southeastern corner. Many thought someone had built a base on the moon. Millions continued to watch LIVE as understood, CBS, then NBC, ABC and now FOX NEWS then debated what it was or could be for a few days. They zoomed in on the bright object though its refractory illumination was too difficult to focus upon. They zoomed out a few frames as several smaller lights left it and entered Earth's atmosphere. One heading to Washington DC and hovering offshore in the Atlantic Ocean as many stunned in the Capitol asking if that thing was real. Many thought they were shooting stars or something crashed into the moon. th-cam.com/video/W_L27sDuMos/w-d-xo.html references the appearance of a medium stadium sized ship orbiting our moon for 5 days and nights as the networks went on strike.

      The night of the networks strike, officially, someone took a shot at a person they'd believed was The British Queen Elizabeth II, and the elderly gent they spotted with her. The shot hit the national monument and then richoceted hitting the elderly gent reportedly. Though, the beloved Queen Elizabeth II and the royal court were secured in emergency bunkers as the object was considered alien origins.

      HM Jollies - an old nickname for the Royal Marines. Alford composed this match , as Director of Music , Plymouth Division. , RM. It incorporates the bugle calls of the Chatham, Portsmouth, and Plymouth Divisions. Excellent rendition of Action Front, with thoroughly rich Teutonic brass, and a superb interplay of bass and woodwind in the trio. A fine band, that produces a great sound, with an excellent woodwind section. Military music at its best!

      @jackx4311 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      The video is *NOT* speeded up; the Rifles are Light Infantry, and march at 140 paces per minute. One of their roles was as units which could be rapidly deployed in battle to any point where it looked like the infantry of the line was under too much pressure, or, alternatively, to be dispatched to exploit a break in the enemy's line.

    • @GradyPhilpott
      @GradyPhilpott 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@jackx4311 Thanks for the explanation. That was exactly my problem. I was trying to reconcile the fact that I assumed that they should be marching at quick time (120 steps per minute) with what I was seeing and hearing. When I slowed the video down to x.75 that looked and sounded more like what I was expecting. When we US Marines want to cover more ground by moving at a quicker pace, we go to route step, which is not at a singular pace, but is taking strides as long as possible at a pace as quickly as possible and no one is in step. One hundred and forty steps per minute is something completely new to me, and especially for bands. I am aware of the Italian military band that marches and plays at double time, however. Thanks again for your explanation.

      @@GradyPhilpott on a major parade with other military Corps and Regiments if the light Infantry wish to march of at their marching pace of 140 they leave the parade last else they must march off at 116. You can notice as at the beginning they band are leading leading light Infantay so 140 but on the march return the Guards at 116
