Only one Big12 team gets selected to the 12-team CFP this year. The conference does well in the bowl games but in the playoffs gets dismantled and gets swept by matchups in bowls against SEC, AAC, and SBC but performs better against ACC, BiG10, MAC, and MWC in bowls. The ACC looks like the better of the lower A4 conferences and results show up on the record this season but next season will be different. Meanwhile both Memphis from AAC and App State from SBC get the green light from the networks on the value they bring and add to any of the A4 conferences and ESpN extends the Media Contracts with ACC to prevent Big12 getting any teams from there. But before the ACC can scoff and make fun of the Big12 they add Memphis and App State as the two G5 schools to advance deep into the CFP-12 this year and next year and next year starting in 2026 both Memphis and App State are added to Big12 and do well right away and crush ACC, SEC, and BiG10 schools in non conference games and in bowl games as starting in 2026 the Big12 has no less than two teams making playoffs every year with some years getting 3-4 teams themselves because ACC was too arrogant and ignorant to make the right decisions and additions because went like birds and were “cheap” with the additions lol 😝.
