something im sure has been discussed before, but i really like the double meaning of the term Cinder. we learn in regards to carla that Cinder is what survivors of the fires of ibis are called. When snail says stir the cinders, when walter says burn every last cinder, they aren't just being figurative, they're talking about the rubiconians, and the coral.
