What gear were you in ? 12 foot disc about max if any hillis ?
I’ll be honest with you it’s been close to 2 years since I worked that field there is one hill but it’s a gentle slope up one side and somewhat of a steep slope down the other side so I just go up the easy side and down the steep side If I remember correctly I would have been running 4th gear low range I might have done the second pass first gear high range
Hello, thank you for showing this video. I do have a question. I have an international 784 and I do not have the long side brackets that you show in your video. do you know how I could find the dimensions on the long side bracket or nowhere I can get them?
@@DavidWence okay I have a question for you are you custom making your own brackets or do you have some sort piece together unit that you need dimensions for And also what dimensions are you looking for precisely? Bolt holes Or the distance between the back and front of the loader frame if I can be of assistance i would love to help
You could have had the bolt heads ground down. Any time you machine the flywheel. AS long as its still in spec, just have the bolt heads cut down the same amount.
If I remember correctly that option would leave me with not quite enough hex to get the socket on without stripping the corners off I would like to thank you for your opinion on this problem I had it is very interesting to me to see how others would solve the problem so again I would like to thank you
@@case85xtfan33 Sounds like the flywheel has been turned before. Again Thanks for posting the video.
@@Pete-from-Tnthanks for your support
I just realized I never noticed until now that there are two more nuts and bolts by the head lights that are just like the ones on the bottom Those two are completely broken from the hood on my tractor hence why I never mentioned them opps if you still had those two in there
hmm..now i remember why we had german made IH !!
Yes I definitely do prefer the hood on our 1977 844S
The problem I face with is that,I put knew clutch and rebuild pressure plate and skim the flywheel, but it doesn't release the Gears.help
@@VumileNoqube did you adjust the clutch pedal so it will separate the clutch? That is the only thing I can think of
Hi there . Ijust stumbbled on your video. I'm wondering what year is your unit .? I'm having similar issues with my 2004 90XT. Did you run into hydraulic fluid starvation to your dandem pumps ?
If I remember correctly our unit is a 1995-6 i have had the o rings go out on the drive hoses no major issues with the pump i have had the seals go out on both drives though Right now I am waiting on just enough cash to buy a new engine block as it blew up IM not buying a used unit and I will be doing any engine work I can do my self as we had the original engine rebuild but it was screwed up and then rebuilt again and now the damage caused by the first rebuild has taken its toll

@donvoll2580 well said well said
Hi cousin
I don't know who resurfaced your old flywheel, but based on a visual comparison with the new one, they cut way to much material off! Those clutch springs should have never been close, unless you got the plate in backwards. ;) Did you ever get it running again??
Yes I did get it running The old flywheel was just plain worn out before I had it machined Flipping the plate over only made the problem worse and I edited this comment because I missed about half of your comment the first time I read it so sorry
Thanks for the video, now I have an insight on repairing my old 585.
Please refer to the pinned comment as it may help describe what I forgot to film

Reay fore many years, i have it IHI 633 from 1977 with 1251 Axle, never been replement seals of the steering cylinder
Good cheaper that way
I have two IH 674's, one with a 2250 loader and it does not have the full frame connector and never had an issue with not having it. I recently purchased another 2250 loader which was on a 584 hydro and it came with the full frame connectors which are very heavy. I do not believe they will be a bolt on to the 674. Not sure yet what mods I may have to make to use them.
Biggest problem anyone had with not having a full frame connector was when they used it like a bulldozer as long as they used it as intended there was no major issues
Glad to see someone posting videos on an 85xt. I have an early version with the 1.89" axles. I've broken 3 in 6 years doing land clean up. I'd be interested to know if you've had any issues.
Actually yes bazaar as it is going to sound the skid steer that we have is literally right on the line when case upgraded the axles so if I give the dealer the vin number they will send the undersized axles unless I specifically ask for the upgraded axle like I said bazaar
However I have not a single clue how many parts are required to do a complete upgrade but it would likely save money in the long run
Also at some point I will be doing an engine swap as she’s kinda lost her lunch if ya know what I mean
And I guess I never really answered your question but no I haven’t broken an axle but did wear the bearing down a bit to far I use over the tire track and it helps immensely with flotation and traction But it also holds the wheels which means when you are driving through the bush you don’t notice anything wrong until something is really bad 😅
I started replacing the axles with the newer style axle that has the inner bearing closer to the sprocket and no seal. No breaks yet but I did just have both bearings fail badly! Axles from later models like the 420 and 430 work as well.
Can you tell me where is the air filter and the air intake on these tractors thanks.
Air filter is located under the panel in front of the steering wheel on top of the hood
@@case85xtfan33 ok thanks.
@@martymartin2894 hope that helps
@@case85xtfan33 it will thanks I had a fair idea it was under the hood, I don't have the tractor with me at the moment to look. I have a 784.
I don’t have a 784 or an 84 series but I do know a couple guys that do have one I think they are pretty close to the same on the inside If I had more time space and money I’d love to get more of these awesome older tractors
My air intake canister doesn't seem tight enough. It's a twist-lock but seems too lose. Is there supposed to be an o-ring inside? Thanks
Not sure I’ll have to check and get back to you on that
Sorry I forgot to get back to you My air filter canister is the quick clip style not the twist style so I really can’t answer your question with absolute certainty
I was wondering where you went 😂
