I love Subie, I had a wrx but I wish these were a bit faster tuned. I feel like it’s best to keep it stock until warranty runs out. Not like it’s making a big difference in speed with those add ons. I have a Genesis g70 now. Stock 0-60 is about 4.5 😅

Is that the only tune? Stage 2? No other mods?

Everybody wants to put a cold air intake on their car but truth be told aftermarket intakes cause turbulent air which shakes the shaft of your impeller. Thats what those little circle spots on your stock intake pipe prevent. Unless you have a tune it's kind of a pointless mod. Besides subaru has always been notorious for having the most efficient intakes of any make from the factory. I could understand if you had a bigger turbo. Just my opinion.

Getting 5.6 on a bone stock 2023 VB. Bad lanuches man..with that cobb kit you can shift at 7200..you should be in the high 4s

Whats wrong with your voice

I noticed the big rubber seal around the rear of the part folds in the factory seal around the engine bay just under the windshield. It’s kind of concerning. I tried to push them apart and pull the factory seal up where it should naturally be but it is getting tucked underneath. Did yours do that as well?

what RPM (with cobb stage 2) do you launch at?

If you go with a dman tune, at least that’s who I have experience with, you’ll get your redline bumped up to 6500 which is just enough to get 60 in 2nd gear. That’ll shave a bunch off your time! Plus he’s simply the best and you’ll feel a noticeable difference in quality and your engine will be healthier.

Great video I have the ETS top mount but probably gonna go with cobb charge pipe I like the ease of installation with that turbo snap clamp.

Same day/area 40-100, 60-100, 60-120 Dragy tests would be more telling of the stage 1 gains over stock. Too many variances with launching

A DMann OTS tune is better than Cobb stg 2. Switched about 2 weeks ago. No DAM movement, lower boost, way smoother power delivery

as a vb owner you made a huge mistake using cobb, they are reliable but those ots tubes will make your shit blow

Tread lightly. That trans can only take so much of that. Why Subaru didn't at least give us the STI trans is a mystery.

I just installed this pipe on my 23 WRX. I went through the top of the car, no need to get underneath the car. Just remove remove the fan (easy 2 bolts).

Still not as fast as my best 0-60 which was like 4.2 second and I ran an ets intake and was protuned on 93. Didn’t have launch control or flat foot because it was last year

Looks fast man. 6+ seconds stock? I would think high 5s. What's the 60-100 time now? I have Cobalt SS turbo and it stinks from a dig even with the quaife front end. Just spins through first and part of second. But 3rd gear pulls very strong. Mine is stock right now.

Loosen... Not "Unloosen." Unloosen simply means, "not loosen," meaning to keep tight. Simply put, the opposite of what you are trying to accomplish, in this video.

So many kids in here who grew up on "THOUSAND HORSEPOWER SUPRA" videos with a screaming guy's face in the TH-cam thumbnail. A VB with just an intake and a 91 tune absolutely rips.

This was great. In order to get the fan and fan in, I had to nudge the radiator hose. Did you experience some coolant splash back from this?..I didn't see it during the process but noticed a small pool of coolant after running the car. I got some coolant leakage and splash around that area but the hoses look tight and have not been moved. Curious if you had a similar experience. Will run it to see if there is anything amiss. Thanks!

Just being honest. But terrible terrible digs. By the time you reach "4k" you've lost all your boost. You need to either blip the throttle and launch on boost or use launch control on your accessport. Practice makes perfect! Goodluck

How much hp does the stage 2 push Ive seen people make around 400whp (reliably) with the stage 2 package a local tune I would say the only reason you could hit the 0-60 nearly a second faster is just the gearing based off of the look of things

when i owed a 2021 it felt a little quicker than that i thought 🤔. now owning a 2018 explorer sport it is definitely just as fast! i always thought these newer ones were still faster than that? are you high in elevation at all? my stock explorer runs 5.9’s haha. no hate tho! subarus are fantastic cars!
