Installing an original Toyota winch to a J7 Landcruiser
I got the originial Toyota winch for my Troopy and eill show you, how to install it. Of course I'll put it to the test and tell you, wich tools you'll need.
(Wrenches and sockets from 8 to 27mm and an impact-drill will be enough)
The short cable to the chassis-groundpoint behind the winch (-)
the long cable with the relais on the left side next to the cooler throug the rubber, the relais under the battery from the inside onto the wheelhousing, the little plug to the plugged connector from the wiringharness under the left front light and the long cable from the relais to the battery.
The winch will only work with ignition on!

In this episode, we wrap up our 4.800km Roadtrip with our LandCruiser Troop Carrier and the Eriba Offroad camper. We did in 17 Days 2 countries, 8 federal states and had a lot of fun and adventure in our summer holidays meeting several great friends and new people :-)

Das ist doch kein Offroad-Gelände, da gibt's ja offenbar nichtmal Steigungen - wo sollen sie die im flachen Land auch herbekommen 😂Auf 'ner nassen Wiese festfahren kann man sich überall.
Schleswig-Holstein bietet andere Herausforderungen😂 Die Waldwege während der Rally waren im Starkregen ... nunja... interessant? 😅 Dieses Jahr kommt ein größeres Fahrgelände am Samstag dazu, wir sind gespannt
Mega cooles Video! Danke dafür :) Wie hat die Höherlegung die vier Jahre seitdem ertragen? Alles noch in gutem Zustand? Und gabs je Probleme mit dem TÜV mit der Höherlegung?
Moin, hat alles wunderbar gehalten und funktioniert für knapp 75.000 km. Letztes Jahr im Herbst haben die neuen Besitzer Rückmeldung gegeben, dass die vorderen PU-Buchsen anfingen zu zerbröseln und ihn wieder auf seine normale Höhe gestellt. Hauptuntersuchung hatte er in der Zeit 2x... wurde nichts beanstandet oder wahrgenommen 😊

Here in 2024, nice video showing your rig, well done! I'm soon going to be turning my recently acquired 2008 XC90 V8 Sport (I'm American, sue me LOL) into a camping rig. Probably not as full-on as yours but a number of changes to better equip it for off-roading, a little overlanding & mostly fishing/camping trips this summer. Love my XC90 & looking forward to some great weekends! Not sure if you'll even see this, but regardless, cheers from Kentucky, USA! (new sub BTW)

Hey, I know you uploaded this video a about a year ago. But I'm thinking about getting the xc90 2005, and these tires and it will fit perfectly. One question though, are your car lifted or did you just switch the suspension? I might wanna lift mine (10-15mm) and switch the suspension as they're stock from the previous owner and hasn't been switched for 20ish years.
Hey, yes my Volvo was lifted 30mm and within that i did a fresh suspension, that helped. I've got a complete video about that whole program. The tires will fit without that tough. Greetz, Bjørn
I have these on my diahatsu terios J2 brilliant tyres a lot off driving on farms, on the road they feel like road tyres brilliant in the snow again no complaints anywhere , was thinking about the maxxis 980 worm drive AT , which is a better mud tyre even better than the Goodrich KO2 , but if you want a all round tyres these are hard too beat I need a better mud tyre though may even go too MT tyres good hornets review 👍😉

It's interesting to see the 1HZ engine in the more modern front end of this Troopy! I've only seen this once before. I heard that Toyota still makes brand new 1HZ engines from the factory for some countries in Africa!
Yes, you could even buy brandnew J7 Landcruiser with 1HZ Engine, but only for export to Afrika, they won't get a roadwortyness-certification in EU any more. I got one if the last that got certified😁

@@neizanalgren7475 The Bilstein suspension works fine stil, allthough I sold my Volvo in spring, but the new owners are very happy with the setup. Only the Tema4x4 polyurethane-blocks had to be removed as they started ripping after 100.000km. But the shocks I can recommend 😀👍🏼 Handling was so much better than before.

Ich lerne immer noch und bei jedem Fahren im Gelände dazu, der Cruiser hat mir noch keine Grenzen aufgezeigt (Bis auf den Agrarhaken, den ich ihm verpasst habe) 😅 Wo der Volvo rückmeldete "Ich geb alles was ich kann, versuchen wir es", kommt vom Cruiser bisher nur "klar, kein Ding, mach mal"...
Das war ein unfassbar geiles Wochenende. 😊

😂Tja was soll ich machen, der musste höher fürs Gelände, und Frau sagte halt da noch "Es gibt keinen Geländewagen!" War/ist auch ein tolles Auto, und der Lift mit dem Fahrwerk war auch echt gut. Jetzt hab ich halt richtig eskaliert mit dem Landcruiser😅 Beste Grüße aus Redneck-Seevetal

If I change my 225, 65, 17" high way tyres to 235, 65, 17" General Grabber. Would it make a huge difference in my fuel consumption?
Hi, I changed from 235/65/17 Continental tires to same dimension General Grabver AT3, and my range dropped from 680km to 620km, but I also added a roofrack. It depends on tire pressure also, but all in all not much, i guess😀

Moin, ja klar, das ist ein Eriba 530 "Troll" mit Brechtl Umbau, +10cm Body-Lift und +5cm durch die Reifen. Autark-Paket hat er auch. Beste Grüße, Björn

@@Husqvarna575XP Für Skandinavien und Schotterpisten reicht es nach kleinen innen-Modifikationen allemal, er ist nur 2m breit, somit echt handlich😁
@@greyknight05 Hi, klaro. Bisschen Schotter mit Schlaglöchern geht schon. Das hat Top-Gear in den 2000tern mit normalen Wohnwagen auch mehr oder weniger Erfolgreich gemacht. Leichtes Gelänge geht sicher auch noch. So schlimm ist der Überhang hinten noch nicht. Gab es von Eriba nich noch ein anderes Modell, welches gerne mit den Serien Defender Reifengrößen ausgestattet wurde, etwas kürzer war und im Gelände garnicht so schlecht funktionierte? Oder gibts da nur den 530? Grüße
@@Husqvarna575XP Nee, das gibt zig Varianten iäun allen möglichen Längen vom Eriba, Puck, Pan, Famila, Triton, Troll, etc... Das coole ist, er hat einen 4kant-Rohrrahmen unter der Aluhaut, darum deutlich stabiler als andere Wohnwagen.
I have tortured my 4.4 on a ranch road in Texas and it has held up like a champion. Only once did I need to tighten a vertical stabilizer bar on the front after I noticed a vibration while driving 80 mph on the highway.

You’ve convinced me. I’m needing new tires and wasn’t really sure which tires to buy. I mainly drive on pavement or the beach, but also the occasional trip to the mountains in the winter. These tires look like they can handle it all. The rain issue…I”ll take you’re heading , no F1 driving in the rain😊
Schöne Bilder. Genau das richtige Gefährt für dich. Fehlt nur noch ein Wiesel auffem Hänger zum Abschleppen, wenn das Sperrdifferential nicht mehr ausreicht 😂

Das mit Schweden wäre nicht auszuschließen, im.Sommer gehts aber erstmal gen Süden😀
