Tried this again this year with equally poor results. The power switch is in the worst posible place - on the bottom of the unit. You have to hold the machine in one hand and use your other hand to switch it off. You can't hold it in one hand and flick it off with your thumb like you would your phone or a flashlight.

Why do you have to use a grinder to sharpen them?

THANK YOU! I should have watched this video years ago. I’ve been struggling to shear my sheep…I had no clue about the tension knob. What use to take hours sometimes days to sheer, it now takes no time at all! You just got a subscriber!

The shearers are amazing people. Hard physical work and the skill they have in getting the wool off in one piece. They earn every penny of the pay.

Shearing is an art. The way they shear so that the wool comes off in one piece is amazing.

Thank you for this. I am a 43- year old mother of 5, who now has to learn how to shear my flock of 15 sheep, since I live rurally and nobody wants to come out to me anymore. I am confident I can learn due to videos like yours. I imagine one day we might all have to learn the skills that people before us knew how to do so well. Have a wonderful day.

Just give your cattle a salt block and do rotational grazing and you will not have this problem. People with pink eye just wash with salt problem gone.
