    Ryan is such a great hitter, and I appreciate how he breaks this concept down. Would love to get a BP with this guy and take in some of that knowledge.

    I’ve never hit off a tee or done anything different with my old baseball swing until now. Had Lumbar fusion at 47yo in Aug 2023. Just getting back into it and figure now is the time to work on things (cut swing) I’ve taken long breaks between playing before (kids/work) but its one of the few things that fires me up and makes me feel alive. And Fuck golf, so here I go with a new tee.

    ive been told by others tee height should be chest high of the batter. your tee height is waist high . is this your preference tee height and do you also try to get near to that height during games ? TIA

    That’s a lot of flicking power through the zone

    Thanks Ryan. I tend to get my arms away from my body thinking I'm creation more power when I'm doing the opposite. I will try the back arm/elbow staying inside and connected drill and in my next BP. Appeciate the advice.....I thought the connection and inside the ball was more of a baseball tip. Some say it's different in softball, but I will defer to you every time.

  • @jameswebster4840
    @jameswebster4840 ปีที่แล้ว

    Thanks Ryan. I cast quite a bit but still hit the ball fairly well. I think the tip on staying inside and tucking my rear elbow instead of pushing it out will fix it. Love watching you hit and have seen a lot of your Conference MPT games. Appreciate you!!!!

    "down and threw". This is it. The barry bonds drill is also great to learn how to cut. I remember ken griffey jr has a hitting device back in the day that was pretty much a learning to cut machine

    You are tall why do you set up the tee so low? Shouldn't it be higher? Also is there a reason why you do drills with baseball?

    One video that helped me said use the bat "like an axe". When you think of it that way it makes it much simpler to 'cut' the ball.
