@@rollerfeederofficialpage2464 Unfortunatly not. Its just a freestyle build. Some specs: -Stroke 500mm -Cilinder bore 70mm -Cilinder rod 50mm -pressure 200bar (3000psi -hi-low double pump.(16gpm) -8hp engine
whats the purpose of the clutch setup? arent most marine engines direct coupled to the outdrive shaft?
@@sparksmobilerepair4025 There is no clutch. What you see is a fixed flexplate. Its oem Volvo penta.

This engine is revving far too high! All of the torque and power is between 1000-3000rpm.
my guy thats an OM605... these things have prechamber injection and will rev past 7000 with a cam

Heel dik! Ik zit me ook te orienteren kun je er achter water skien of heb je dan een zwarte kop van de uitlaatgassen?
Nee uitlaat zit gewoon aangesloten op de staart en komt onder water uit. Je ruikt en ziet niets er achter. Motorruimte is volledig geïsoleerd nu, is heel stil als de motorkap dicht is.

Hi. Nice project! Do you use coolant exhaust pipe before turbocharger? I want swap 1.9 tdi, and my engine specialist tell me, coolant exhaust pipe before turbocharger in not required, because diesel exhaust temperature not critical like a gas engine
The manifold is watercooled to reduce heat in engine bay.

Probleme mit der Kühlung habe ich nicht. Habe auch einen OM 605 mit 2,55 BAR Ladedruck. Antrieb AQ 270T Umgebaut auf DP. Man muss nur schauen das das Kühlwasser aus dem Motor immer Bergab Laufen kann nicht so bauen das es irgend wo bergauf laufen muss. Denn die Wasserpumpe mag keine Luft dann wird nicht mehr Wasser gepumpt und der Motor wird am Kopf ganz schnell Heiß

Don't know exactly. Fuel consumption is almost 2 times better then with the old volvo penta aq140 gasoline engine

This is the exhaust manifold. I use the oem intake manifold.

75 km/h at 5000 rpm. I like it around 4000rpm speed about 60/65 km/h

hi I'm putting an Audi v6 diesel engine in my boat it should output about 210hp I'm wondering how to find the correct heat exchanger for the job also wondering how your controlling the throttle using a pedal or a lever?
Good to hear your putting a nice diesel engine in your boat! My trottle is connected with the original volvo penta lever. The heat exchanger is a bowman fg100. Originally it was used as a hydraulic oil cooler in a hydraulic system. It is working fine. I did not do any calculations.

how many kilos is your boat? Do you think that if he put on a duo prop, it would also swim well? (gear ratio 2.3: 1)
weight of the boat is about 900kg without engine. I have a 1.61 ratio lower unit but in this video I had a 14x19 prop which I replaced for a 15x21. runs much better already. a little bit of propeller slip is good for the turbo lag

Nice to hear that you put a diesel in your boat. Ratio depends on wich engine there was before the swap. Its better to have a v8 ratio with the diesel. But maybe you can do something with the prop

Its a closed circuit. Engine is filled with coolant wich goes trough a heat exchanger with raw lake water.
Am I the only one wondering if this would still perform well on oak, hickory, or better yet, Hedge (Osage orange)?
This machine performs also well on oak. Because of the vertical design you decide how far you slide the wood under the knife. if you have a harder type of wood, slide the block just below and split it in a number of times the pressure per square cm/inch is then much higher.

I like the speed a simplicity of handling the wood can I get plans ?? Plus your upright not bending over
Currently i'm building a new one. This one is still running well. When the new one is finished i will make plans. I can build the next one more easy then. The plans are now in my head only. This machine is build from stuff laying around. The new one will be build from new parts.

@@renthal971 Due to the large flow possibilities in all components and the elongated shape of the oil tank, the machine can be fully loaded for a whole day. the oil temperature is about 50 degrees celcius

OK I Splitwood every day from October to May every time I see one of these videos it’s always on pine or spruce that is like the easiest wood to split there is why don’t you try it on something like hardwood then I would be a believer
