Same as other video just using skip bucket to back fill. Not sure if that the right name. Says cam lever on it. Just a quick cell phone video. No edits. Just life as it happens. Crane is an 8690. That open jump port exposed to dirt and water seems like it will corrode over time and put a lot of resistance into the jump circuit when you need to use it. Should at least have a cap on it.

      Good catch. It definitely gets nasty. These have a pretty positive spring pressure they have to overcome when connecting and a good wiggle also helps scrape through the crud. Also i live in SoCal so perfect weather for exposed metal. Definitely recommend a cover for those that live in real weather country.

    • @ryanburbridge
      @ryanburbridge ปีที่แล้ว

      Absolutely! www.oett.net/dispatch-hall-locations With the link above you will find a list of all the local 12 dispatch offices. At each office they maintain a list of out of work workmen. You can go in person to a hall and pay about $25.00 a month to maintain your name on their list. Each hall charges a fee so i recommend one that covers either the most available work (Pasadena or Anaheim) or one near where you live. You must pay in person every month to maintain your position. Also to be on the list you should have your skills listed. Example: “CCO certified operator with Class A CDL TWIC card”

    Did this the first time I broke the gun down. The tools especially the L shaped Kimber one end up being more of a pain in the ass than anything else. This is my main carry gun now (.45 ACP version) and never had a jamb or any feed problem, ever. Keep the gun clean and property lubed and you will experience the same. Where you have people training to be shoemakers, have access to the floor and all their job to do is take customer service calls.. I know these companies run really lean compared to other businesses but this where you have to invest.

      Awesome! Good luck. NCCCO will definitely help with your apprenticeship! It will let you be placed with a crane company asap. Most guys starting into the apprenticeship that want to work under truck crane contract have to wait or hire on as an oiler. Definitely an advantage. As far as the test there are practice questions on the local 12 page and it looks like very basic mechanical aptitude tests. If your a die hard book worm and just must study. I don’t bud apologies. I would assume it’s similar to a civil service exam. There is a test guide on the local 12 website www.oett.net/sample-exam-questions Looks like just basic common sense mechanical aptitude testing

    Hello, names Patrick and I just applied to the local 12 apprenticeship program and I was wondering do you have any tips or suggestions for someone new?

      Awesome!!! I personally didn’t go through the apprenticeship so no tips on that specifically other then the normal show up early be aggressive in learning be humble. Are you thinking of working under the truck crane contract? What experience do you have?

      I have very little experience with heavy equipment. I use to run a TRAM forklift and that’s pretty much it. I honestly don’t know what route I will take. Just trying to get my foot in the door. I love heavy equipment I am a mechanic turned mechanical engineer looking to work with my hands. Thanks for advice, if you come up with anything else I would love to hear about it.

    i know i asked you a question a while ago but now am serious about ordering and love the looks of yours. i see many nicks and some look totally different , maybe its the look after they are worn in but are yours the hi or med arch? i think the med has a narrower toe and the hi has a broader toe, so just wondering if you remember... thanks

      Right on! These are the builder pro. They have the high arch. The boots were rebuilt by franks who worked at nicks and builds a very similar boot. Be ready for the break in it’s brutal

      To answer your question You have it backwards. 11067 I "high arch" has the narrower toe. It's to push your foot back in the boot to give you the higher arch if I remember correctly. I've done a TON of research on Nick's to make sure it wasn't just another TH-cam shill scam. $600 is a lot of money for me to spend on footwear so i was making sure of my investment. I got mine October 17th. It is the 1964 brown on the 67 last. I didn't want to wait because my thorogoods we're about to be falling apart. I wear a 12 normally and used their measure chart on the website. they say order a half size smaller than you normally wear so i found an 11.5 E that was ready to ship. My figuring was with the 67 last being narrower it would work out being an E. i figured worse case i send them back and order my size. It worked great and break-in was minimal (But it seems I'm an exception most people have to pace their break-in). My feet were sore at the end of the 2nd day and that was it. I put them on and just wore them all day every day. They are still getting more comfortable. It's by far the most comfortable shoe I've put on my feet. If you're thinking about it do it! I highly doubt you'll be disappointed!
