Whenever we enter his presence. He always speaks to us. One thing that I’ve been struggling with is judgement. Since I was young, I felt like I was giving people grace to make mistakes around me. I would willingly allow people to hurt, or hurt me, sometimes without erecting healthy boundaries. But even Jesus made people accountable for their actions. Additionally, I felt like people would’ve afford me the same grace, even though this might have been factual. This created a level of underlying unjust feeling within me. I became extremely judgemental of peoples actions and tried to register when anyone would make a mistake and the grace that I would give them. After a while, this attitude started to affect me subconsciously, and I made light when people failed around me, when people were human. It’s not necessarily a bad thing, but sometimes making light meant celebrating someone making a mistake. This attitude can be helpful in taking away some of the shame and guilt of making a mistake for the individual, but because I had unresolved energy towards feeling slighted and under appreciated, I projected this feeling on unjustness at the same time. By listening to this song and being in his presence, I’m reminded that the only judge is God, and that I’m simply his vessel. As hard as it sounds, I should extend grace to the judges and not judge those that judge me. We are all sinners, all imperfect under Gods eyes, but only God knows our heart. Just as I don’t know other peoples hearts and shouldn’t hold onto their very action, I should also not hold onto them not appreciating my actions. I’m not perfect and will continue judging in the future, it’s part of my psyche, but I can start by identifying when I do and taking steps to rectify this. I pray that anyone else struggling with this is able to continue to give others grace, and extend that to themselves too.

I think we need to break the stereotype that lgbtq people are not "allowed" to talk about religion or just God in general. We ARE human ("weird" but still human), we struggle everyday. We NEED to have faith in ourselves. God lives in us. It's up to us as individuals to accept our demons so we can learn to control them and walk like Jesus knowing we are NOT Jesus. Not being Him, is ok. We can only be ourselves.

A girl I watched grow up died and this was her favorite song. Her family played it at her funeral. To have someone so young and sweet be taken strains my my faith time and time again. I move forward like I have with every person that i've lost. Moving forward but carrying them in my heart bring me nothing but sadness cause I know that that I can hug, hold, or hear from them again but, this song helps me keep on touch with the feelings of love I have for them regardless of if they walk this earth or have moved on everlasting life. Life to is not quantified in the years you live but, by the memories you make and people that you have in it. Remember to show the the ones you hold dear in life know you always love and care for them. The day may come sooner than you think to where you can no longer tell them face to face. Though I hope it never comes and you all have nothing but love and happiness for a long time. Just make sure they know even if you think they do. Say it to them because you might not get the chance to tomorrow.
